Casa Museo Colón

very surprised about the poor reviews here... yes, the museum is spanish-only (=common in spain!) and i don't read spanish very well, but the exhibition is lovely made, the staff super-friendly, and if you're a sucker for old maps you'll be a very happy visitor!

Non-Spanish-speakers don’t bother; you do not count here. Did not find a word in English. On the other hand, the exhibits did not leave much regrets that I’ve missed a lot by not being able to read the annotations)) Nice guy at the reception, when asked, suggested that I would spend around 45 minutes there. Took me 7. On the positive side: it’s only 2€ The building is very new, clean and generally pleasant. Toilets on each of four floor (so, 50¢ apiece, which is more or less market rate in the area).

A bit disappointing. Nice building with exhibitions on 4 floors but not very engaging. I won't be running back!

Really wanted to go inside but they make it difficult by not accepting credit card! Cash only.

This museum is amazing and you absolutely have to visit. Even with my limited Spanish I understood much as always been fascinated by this period in history as so important. Staff are great and nobody bothered us on our way around the exhibits which was much appreciated after visiting the sculpture museum where we felt like criminals! Somebody needs to make a movie about the people who enabled Colombus in his endeavours especially Los Hermanos Pinzon! The exhibits before exit are especially poignant. Loved it! Thank You.

Wednesdays it is discount and you can enter for 1€ only. But is very sad that if you don't understand spanish you can't enjoy in museum. They should think about turists! And put at least english titles. I didn't understand anything. I cannot use G Translate constantly.

Interesting to visit the house where Columbus lived in Valladolid. Apart from a painting from the Cuzco school on the top floor, exhibits are instead not very interesting. Besides, it’s very noisy, with lots of audios all around that overlap each other. They make the whole experience very frustrating and you just want to get out.
