his is the house where the renowned poet Antonio Machado spent his formative years in Segovia. The museum offers a fascinating look into his life and work, with rooms preserved as they were during his stay and exhibits showcasing his personal belongings, manuscripts, and period furniture. Admission is €4, and if you have the "Amigos de Segovia" card, you receive a €1 discount. The entry price includes an audioguide, available in both English and Spanish, which provides detailed insights into Machado’s story and the history of the house. If you enjoy exploring in depth and listening to the full audioguide, plan to spend around 3 to 3.5 hours for a thorough visit. The museum is a must for literature enthusiasts and anyone interested in Spanish culture, offering an intimate and authentic experience of one of Spain’s greatest poets.

It’s not very big but worth at least an hour's visit. The information and commentary that the audioguide provided really help me to better understand the history and Machado’s life. Highly recommended!

An interesting insight into the poets life. Don't dive in and out. Take the time to imagine how life would have been like.

One warning: the entry doorway is very low and there is no warning, so you duck on the way in because it is obvious, but the height issue not so obvious on the way out. So watch out if you are 6 foot tall or bigger.
