Casa N.O.M Bar y Restaurante

This restaurant serves Latino food with Mexican being the primary cuisine at the time we were there. Out of all the dishes that we ordered, the chorizo was decent but you can hardly go wrong with that. The croquetas were not bad too, the sauce that comes with it was refreshing. The pleasant surprise is the choripan! The bread is very soft although it looks big and dry. Wouldn't recommend the guacamoles and corn chips as it was very expensive for the portion and quality. The service is very good and he explains the menu professionally. The place is small, decorated nicely and it wasn't too busy, perfect for date nights. Food - 7 Service - 9 Vibe - 8 Price - $$$

Food was pretty good all round, though the vegan tacos were very average. Ordered a virgin piña colada which was watery and filled with ice. I was charged $22 for the drink without alcohol.

I really wanted to like Casa Nom, and if I went for the Marg's only, I definitely would have. My mistake was ordering food. The fish taco was drowned in mayo, the "arepa" was overly cheese filled and the "chilaqulies" were just nachos. I'll be back for the $12 Marg's but I can't say I'll eat there again

I recently went to this restaurant with a friend. When we were ordering, she asked multiple times about the spiciness level of the dishes. The staff assured her that they would not be spicy. However, the dishes turned out to be too spicy, and she had to send them back twice. To make up for it, the staff offered her some nachos with cheese on top, but she was charged $37 for it without knowing the price beforehand. This was very disrespectful! If you're sensitive to spice, be cautious when ordering from there, and always check the bill before paying.

I recently visited Casa N.O.N based on a friend's recommendation, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite my friend's repeated inquiries about whether a dish was spicy, the waiter assured us it wasn't. However, the first dish was indeed spicy, leading us to request a replacement. The second dish also had a lot of spice, despite clear communication about our preference. Eventually, a non-spicy dish was provided. The bigger issue arose when we went to pay: we were charged for the initial two spicy dishes that we didn’t consume. When we questioned this, the person in charge insisted the charge was correct, which was frustrating. I hope the restaurant reviews its policies and training to avoid such issues in the future. I recommend everyone to check the bill before made any payment.

Great food, atmosphere and the service was excellent. Recommended. If I could do anything again, I would probably skip the starter menu as they werent worth the price (cost vs value). The rest was excellent tho.

Prahran’s newest Mexican kid on the block! We stumbled upon this place while we were running errands - their unique logo and branding caught our eye and we were drawn to it! We actually stopped to grab some quick tequila shots and were convinced that this place is legit when it comes to Mexican food based on the tequila range that they have on their shelf. We decided to order the pulled pork tacos that comes in 3’s. It was sweeter than other tacos you can find in Melbourne. We would definitely be back as this place really intrigued us to try their full range of Mexican food on their menu.

I used to go to this restaurant, but today the waitress disappointed me. I asked about the spiciness of the dishes because I am allergic to it. He assured me that I could order without any problem. However, the dish I ordered came with a lot of spice. When I mentioned this to him, he offered another dish without spice, but it also came with spice again. At this point, I told him I wouldn't be able to eat any dish, so he offered me nachos with cheese and guacamole instead. When I went to pay for my order, I noticed that he had charged me for two dishes that I didn't eat. I asked him about it and he told me that was the price for the nachos. There was nothing on the menu that was priced as he had charged me. I am very disappointed and feel that this was dishonest.
