Like a few of the reviews here, let me echo how rude the staff were. Well, the main guy at the bar, possibly the owner. Doesn’t have any modicum of hospitality and service. It’s as if they dislike having guests I guess part of the reason is they are overwhelmed with so many people. Their place (and resto and shop) is right at the center of town. I stayed in Casa Carolo six years ago and that was certainly a better place. If you can, avoid this place

We stayed for one night on the Camino trail. |The room was pretty bad, with Ned’s that creaked the whole night, and you couldn’t open the window, as it was on the stairs, which anyone could access.|The food was pretty bad, service unbelievable rude. I don’t know how hard it is to smile or say olah. They all seems angry and pissed off, and the kitchen ladies were fighting.|Overall, I felt unwelcomed.|They should all be in another job, as they all seem to hate tourists

My Camino Journey to O Cebreiro: A Day of Magic and Connection||Reaching O Cebreiro on my Camino journey was nothing short of magical. Perched high in the Galician mountains, this 11th-century town seemed to emerge from a storybook, steeped in history and wrapped in a sense of timelessness.||I arrived in the most unforgettable way—on horseback, with the haunting melody of bagpipes played by Aman welcoming me. The sound echoed through the mountain air, blending with the natural beauty of the surroundings, giving the moment an almost ethereal quality.||Wandering through the cobblestone streets, I found myself repeatedly bumping into familiar faces—fellow pilgrims I had crossed paths with earlier on the Camino. Each encounter felt like fate, a reminder of the deep connections this journey fosters.||Just as I began exploring, a sudden rainstorm rolled in, drenching the village in misty magic. My friends, brimming with Camino wisdom, convinced me to stay the night. I’m so glad I listened. As the rain fell, O Cebreiro transformed into something even more mystical. The warmth of the stone buildings, the smell of rain-soaked earth, and the camaraderie of pilgrims huddling together created an atmosphere that felt both ancient and alive.||Spending the evening in this 11th-century mountain town felt like a gift from the Camino itself—a moment to pause, connect, and reflect. It was one of those rare days where the journey truly felt like the destination.

Had dinner here. It wasn’t great. Standard fried pilgrims meal. They let you use card but only when it’s €15 or above

We finished a stage of the Camino in the village last year and stayed elsewhere.|I’m not sure how many options there are but this one was better.|We had a large room with two double beds and a reasonable sized bathroom. The shower was over the bath and not particularly hot or powerful but enough to get clean.|The main downside was that the room was directly above the bar and the noise was very loud. Fortunately we didn’t want an early night and it became quiet after the bar closed at 11.

Loved this place Very kind owner and staff. The food was great! This hotel is very clean and we had a wood fire in the restaurant that was absolutely beautiful. Stone walls and nice architecture. A must stop before the long hike up to O Cerbreiro

We booked Casa O Cebreiro and were housed in their Casa Valiña, just opposite the main building, which meant we had to exit and cross the road for dinner and breakfast.|Moreover, WI-FI was virtually unavailable outside the hotel's main building.|Entering Casa Valiña there was a very unpleadant smell of stale humidity in the common area, but not in the room.|The room was small but very nice while the bathroom instead was big enough. |The pilgrim menu was fairly good while the breakfast was rather basic.|As for the service, at check in it was very rude and unfriendly, with the regrettably bad attitude of being annoyed at dealing with pilgrims, without whom all these establishments wouldn't exist, while at dinner and breakfast it was more acceptable and normal.|All in all not a bad experience, but considering the WI-FI problem, the check in attitude and the price, slightly above the average for similar accommodations, I'd suggest to look elsewhere before booking this one.

We arrived here after a short but strenuous walk up the hill on the camino, and the place was very busy with several tour buses all at once. However, the staff were very good, had smiles on there faces and got us checked in much earlier than normal. Very rustic rooms, great service and great food for lunch, dinner and breakfast!
