Tim and Claire have everything perfect for your stay. We had hiked in, but the few other guests had cars and used Casa Olea as a base for touring. The design is fetching and the pool refreshing if one wants a day off. The meals were great and outside when the weather permitted which is a treat, as the river valley if bird filled (none on the menu) with songbirds that had moved up for the summer. All comforts were first class and Tim provided lots of local information. They also set up a cocktail hour before dinner so one could get to know the other guests, many of whom were repeats. Dining times were perfect as was the menu and wines. ||During the temperate season, this guesthouse fills quickly, so do not hesitate. While it is reasonably isolated (countryside), towns are nearby as is plentiful hiking and biking.

This was our second stay at Casa Olea and definitely not our last. Our hosts, Tim and Claire, provide a superlative experience in every way. The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The food, almost all prepared by Claire, is fantastic. The setting is gorgeous and offers lots to to see and do. Tim and Claire are lovely people and and are readily available with local suggestions and expertise. We love getting to know them and their other guests. Casa Olea is quite special. It’s far more than just a nice hotel. It has a soul, I’m sure because of the care and attention that Tim and Claire have poured into it. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My wife and I recently spent ten days in Andalusia staying at this very special hotel set in the hills of Priego de Cordoba. The setting is magical with the sound of bird song filling the air day and night. Our hosts Tim and Claire were amazing and not only provided us with delicious home cooked food and wine, but were extremely helpful in assisting us with trips out and advice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We cannot recommend this venue enough if you are looking for peace and tranquility in a stunning landscape.

Gorgeous little boutique hotel ( 6 rooms ) in an Incredible location. Surrounded by mountains and olive groves, in the Spanish countryside. Run by the friendliest English couple, Tim and Claire. Nothing was too much trouble. The meals were very tasty, using locally grown produce. Absolutely must stay if you wish to enjoy a peaceful few days away from the cities.

Me and my partner stayed here this month for four nights and it was easily the best stay in a hotel like environment in our lives and, trust me, we have travelled a fair bit! The location is stunning (you need to get here by car though). The view from the swimming pool is beautiful and the only thing you can hear are chirps from a huge variety of birds. Everyday we were there, we had breakfast and dinner and every time it was delicious. Even in the morning, there would always be something interesting and special that was made for that breakfast it felt like. And the dinners were exceptional. Not too mention that the owners Tim and Claire are a joy to be around. We had plenty of good chats and we really enjoyed their company. Anyone who wants to have a quiet getaway somewhere with beautiful nature surrounding them and nothing else, I really recommend coming here.

We have just returned from our 11th stay at the superb Casa Olea. Need I say more! Tim and Claire continue to make this a very special place. Yes the countryside is beautiful and the facilities spotless and beautifully maintained, the food cooked by Claire is delicious but it is the ambience created by this special family, including Max and Choco, which have kept us coming back year after year. We hope to continue to do so!

Absolutely amazing small hotel in the heart of the Sierra Subbéticas, Andalusia. Six beautiful bedrooms. Beautifully furnished. All have views of the countryside. Recommend Membrillo, Olivo and Almendro. Food is amazing. Fabulous buffet breakfast. Simple dinners. All food cooked using local ingredients. Cater for all food tastes, dietary needs and allergies. Superb bar. Amazing service. Swimming pool and lots of delightful outdoor seating areas. Owners very knowledgeable of the local area and always on hand to give advice. Great area for bird watching, walking, cycling and visiting Granada, Córdoba and Seville. Also some wonderful towns nearer worth visiting such as Priego de Córdoba, Zuheros, Alcalareal and Jaen. Car essential.

We had another wonderful holiday with Claire and Tim. Everything is spotless, the food super and the silence deafening... you only hear the birds with their most beautiful concerts. |Highly recommended for those who love nature, peace and quiet and good food.

Yelp
Casa Olea is a six-room, centrally-located B&B if you are visiting Andalucia. We were originally going to hotel hop while in Andalucia and so glad we found Casa Olea. Instead, we stay 5 nights and had a genuinely unique experience for several reasons. Number 1: The B&B proprietors and the location of the B&B were exactly what we wanted. Tim, Claire and their adorable dog Ruby provided the perfect balance of privacy and attentiveness. Many B&B's struggle at providing that balance but they have mastered it. Casa Olea is nestled among olive trees just outside the little town of Zamoranos. Its location is very serene and a wonderful setting for some rest and relaxation by their pool or just walking along the quiet dirt road. Ruby greats you as you drive up to Casa Olea....almost feels like you are coming home. Every morning before we would head out, Tim would have maps of the towns we were going to visit. He gave us parking tips, driving directions, restaurant recommendations...anything we asked and it all helped tremendously as we set out for the day. All of Tim's recommendations were spot on. Number 2: The food at Casa Olea was excellent. Breakfast is included in the room rate and was a nice start to the morning. It consisted of cereals, greek yogurt, pastries, fresh fruit, ham, cheeses, and this wonderful tomato/garlic relish. Juices, milk, tea, coffee are also available. The spread is plenty to start your day of touring. Casa Olea also has dinner available for an additional cost and it is well worth the money. Each morning you choose from two starters and two main courses. This was often a difficult task because everything that Claire cooks is absolutely delicious. Claire is generally in the kitchen making all of the delicious food but comes out to great the guests. Also, if you have dietary restrictions (vegetarian), Claire has wonderful meals to accommodate you. Tim makes sure everyone has what they need whether its hot tea after a tiring day touring the sights or a perfect red wine from the region to a soothing after dinner drink of Pedro Ximenez to finish the night off perfectly. Number 3: The guests at Casa Olea allowed us to meet very interesting people form around the world. During our visit we had folks fro Spain ,Ireland and Florida which provided a rich experience in discussing everything to world politics to food recipes. All guests typically stayed at Casa Olea for dinner therefore providing a wonderful opportunity to get to know each guest even better. Towards the end of our stay, we had dinner "Family Style"....one large table with everyone seated. Very enjoyable. I can go on and on about our stay and as you can see from my review as well as others that Casa Olea is a perfect place to stay. Tim and Claire really have done a great job in making every stay a pleasure and an experience you will not forget. I highly recommend staying here! One request of future guests.....bring back maps of the cities you visit to replenish Tim's map stash.
