Casa Olivea (Ensenada, Baja California) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"When exploring Baja California’s Ruta del Vino, it’s essential to have a place to escape the sun and hydrate after wine tastings. The oasis-like Casa Olivea, located right on the historic route that leads through the wine-growing region, is just the ticket. Cool, quiet, and environmentally friendly, its rooms are set amid fragrant gardens with olive trees. Each is named after a plant or flower, and all are stylish and minimalist with poured concrete floors, king-sized beds, and blackout curtains. The stone-lined pool, beautifully illuminated as the sun goes down, is perfect for a refreshing post-siesta dip, and with a farm-to-table restaurant and coffee shop on site, it’s easy to stay put until it’s time to hit the road again." - Tablet Hotels

Casa Olivea is absolutely stunning! From the architecture to the furnishing/design to the flora throughout the property to the exquisite garden - Casa Olivea is a sight to behold! Truly one of the best boutique hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at. The staff is incredibly warm and was attentive to all of our needs. The rooms are spacious and perfectly designed. The daily breakfasts were absolutely delicious and it was such a pleasure to start each day with farm to table dining. We especially loved the personal touch that came from the owner greeting us and chatting with us each morning. We can't wait to return and cannot recommend this property highly enough to others!

We had a wonderful getaway to Valle De Guadalupe and stayed at the beautiful boutique hotel. The staff was fantastic. The food was spectacular. The hotel was quiet and intimate. The owners Angie and Miguel were so personable. They truly invested in seeing their customers. Have a wonderful time. We truly enjoyed our stay.

We had the best time at Mya. It's so rare to find a place on social lives up to the hype. We stayed here a little over a year ago, but I was just thinking about how incredible our experience was. It was so perfect down to every detail. The property and rooms feel like they're out of a magazine. We felt like we'd stepped into a little slice of heaven.||The owner and staff are incredibly warm and kind. The food was amazing—not just the restaurant where we had dinner, but the breakfasts as well. There were even homemade pastries. Everything is hand picked or farm to table and made with so much care. We felt so taken care of. It was truly and unforgettable experience. We will definitely be going back.

Where do I start.. Casa Olivea was one of the most memorable and amazing stays we’ve had in our travels (and I’ve been to 31 countries!) From the friendliest staff, to the most incredible meal at Olivea, the comfiest beds, to the beautiful property - everything was a perfect. We cannot wait to return. Ps - get the quesadilla from Cafe Olivea :)

Olivea Farm To Table is not just a restaurant — it’s a manifesto of rural elegance, a sanctuary where luxury is cultivated with bare hands and served with refined artistry.||From the moment you walk down the olive tree-lined path, you know you’re stepping into a slower, more intentional way of living. There is no fixed menu here: the land decides, and the chef — with almost poetic precision — transforms just-harvested ingredients into dishes that balance technique, subtlety, and emotion. Every bite is seasonal, honest, and visually exquisite.||The service is exceptional: warm yet sophisticated, attentive without being overbearing. It feels as if the restaurant opened just for you.||I left Olivea changed — with a more awakened palate, a fuller heart, and one clear truth: real luxury isn’t flaunted… it’s lived, and remembered with gratitude.

This is a wonderful hotel for those who appreciate a friendly, boutique hotel experience. The property's design is very thoughtful. You can tell the owner/designer out thought I to making every vista beautiful, whether you're at the pool or restaurant, or simply walking down a path. We tried our hands at padel (fun!), and dined at the restaurant. It was a treat to have food freshly picked from the garden combined with sustainable cuisine, Michelin mentioned. We met the owners and they gave us a tour of the garden and even offered padel lessons. The included breakfast and coffee were very good. We will be returning!

The hotel is very nice, clean, comfortable, and well located. The only issue is that it does not really have a restaurant or anything to eat in the afternoon. The Restaurant only opens from Wednesday to Saturday but you could only dine if you buy the 2,000 pesos experience that included like 8 dishes and a visit to the farm. So if you are tired and not very hungry and would like to spend a peaceful afternoon in the nice hotel facilites, you will need to bring food from the Oxo or some pizzas that close at 8 pm. I suggest the hotel to at least have some snaks and beverages to sell in the afternoon/evening, and accept people to join the restaurant (when it opens), and order any dish from the menu of the day.
