Room does the job with fun decor and the feeling you are in a boutique hotel rather than your standard hotel room. We were on the ground floor so there was some noise but this is expected in a city centre and old building. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They helped with luggage storage and they gave some great recommendations for bars and restaurants. Great location. Definitely recommend visiting the cafe in the park opposite - it's a lovely place to escape the heat!

Great location, nice room. Staff gave nice recommendations for the area. Tip: if you are coming here by metro, be sure to go to Rato, not Avenida. I think Avenida is closer but you gave to walk up very steep hills which us hard work. Rato so much easier.

An awful experience ! I forgot items worth €450 in this hotel: the hotel confirmed that they have found them and after some days informed me they have lost them ! After more than four months of waiting and countless reminders, they have only refunded a paltry sum, far less than the actual value. A complete lack of honesty, customer consideration, and transparency. In additional, lack of professionally, they gave us the wrong room than the one that was initially planned for us and there was a lack of cleaning, we drink one glass of whiskey in the common shared room it stayed there for the whole weekend as nobody cleaned it! Do not recommend at all!

Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. The building was under repairs, with loud noise from early morning until evening, and the room had no sound insulation. It also couldn’t cope with Lisbon’s summer heat, making it very uncomfortable. Service was lacking throughout—staff were unresponsive and failed to inform guests about interruptions in water supply. Overall, it felt like paying boutique hotel prices but receiving the conditions of a cheap hostel.

The most beautiful / convenient location yet so quiet. We had organised airport pick up with the guest house, which made things easy when coming out of a long flight and jet lag was kicking in.|Miguel was just lovely. We paid extra to have breakfast first morning and it was great. Fresh fruit, pastries, bread, meat, cheeses, muesli just what we wanted when didn’t know the area that well yet, other days wondered out to the wild. Loved our stay hope to be back one day !

My spouse and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Oliver in March 2025. First and foremost, the warm welcome and the service by the staff (Joao) throughout our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The room was beautiful, very roomy with a unique decor and well furnished with fridge, kettle, coffee machine, radio, etc. The bed was extremely comfortable with quality bedding. We had breakfast included and really enjoyed it. A lot of variety of hot and cold, salty and sweet and in a very nice and cosy setting. And last but not least, it is located in a beautiful neighborhood within a walkable distance to many restaurants and sights. It also has public transport (tram #24 and bus) right in front of the hotel. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return if we go back to Lisbon.

As this was my first visit to Lisbon I was looking forward to a pleasant stay. This hotel did not provide that. As a woman traveling to a foreign country I did not feel safe staying at this hotel as I felt that my room was under watch by hotel staff. As we stated to the hotel we had a friend visiting our room for the day. She planned to leave after our day exploring and not spend the night. Hotel staff berated us and constantly made me feel uncomfortable about this even after we told them we understand she cannot stay. The staff overall were unfriendly compared to other places and hotels I have stayed in Portugal, and for the price you would expect differently. ||The bed and room size were okay. The bathroom was small and had no hand-soap or small wash cloths. ||Overall for the price I would stay somewhere else in Lisbon.

Overall a nice experience. Quite straightforward in terms of procedure. Location is brilliant and staff were friendly. Breakfast provided was also good. Minor inconvenience is the bathroom, we did hope for a shower, but got a bath (this is fine), however the water went everywhere on the floor and it made unsafe due to it being a slip hazard.
