Amazing stay. Caroline is the kindest and best host. Rooms are comfy and full of character and breakfast is excellent! Easy location near the train station.

Just across from the train station is this calm oasis very conveniently located in the center of town. Lovely place, well appointed rooms, good homemade breakfast, reasonable prices. Ask Caroline, the owner, for suggestions, she has excellent taste and knows the city really well. Highly recommend.

Caroline was an outstanding host…very quaint place with nice rooms and an excellent breakfast. Price was very reasonable…very close to train station…easy 2-3 min walk.

A very convenient place to stay close to the main station. The Vieux Port can easily be reached on foot. Caroline is a welcoming host with good ideas on how to spend your time in this interesting and diverse city. The top floor room has a covered terrace that is worth the extra climb on the stairs.

A super 'Casa 'to stay in , a super welcome awaits you from Caroline , the owner of this wonderful house . The location is close to the main bus and train station 'St Charles ', making the house very accessible. |The building is architecturally interesting with a lovely narrow marble staircase to the bedrooms , which are comfortable and quirky. The breakfast is very good with delicious fresh coffee , croissants and much more . The layout of the breakfast area encourages interaction with fellow travellers which is enriching. |When we return to Marseille again , it is 'Casa Ortega 'we will choose , thanks Caroline 😎

This is a long overdue review while staying 4 wonderful nights in a king bedroom with terrace but I would stay there any time of the year. Right off I must say that CAROLINE AND BENMAR ARE WONDERFUL!! They both made my stay pleasant during a hot weather time in Marseille. Check-in was easy as Caroline was waiting for me to arrive and gave all the details needed. She is a wealth of knowledge and is always happy to give you recommendations to have a perfect day in Marseille. The bed was comfortable, bottled water along with coffee/tea maker, and terrace nice to sit in when the temperature cooled. The shower was one of the best I have had with strong water pressure along with both the rain shower head and handheld options. I usually try not to use air conditioning when I travel, but the record heat called for it and it worked well. Even though it is located steps from the busy Gare Saint-Charles I had a quiet night sleep as the terrace is surrounded by a building on each side. Every morning I had my table set for a relaxing breakfast to start the day. In short, Casa Ortega exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend a stay! Such a beautiful, charming little hotel, full of character. The host, Anne, was incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, air conditioned and the mattress was super comfy. Each morning we were greeted with a smile and delicious breakfast. The location is very convenient for local transport, although it can get a little sketchy after dark. Despite this I always felt safe in the hotel. Would recommend ✨
