We had a great time staying at the casa. The room is very comfortable and the shower super agreeable. The casa is very conveniently located in the heart of old Havana, ideal to visit on foot.

Do not stay Here. Terrible room. Small room with shower and toilet downstairs. Two dangerous small strairs to go to a small Spaces with one bed. At night verry dangerous. During day also verry dangerous. No hot water no pressure on the water and very small shower with shower curtain against your body. Power sucket verry uneasy to load phone or laptop. When checking out the lady did not ask how was my stay. She Goes for you money and not the customer happy experience One Floor down at balcones superieur professional friendly staff They ask me how was my stay one Floor up. Terrible. My personal experience do not go here

Staying with Surama and her husband has been an absolute delight! She is a very kind and personable host, always eager to help and ensure you are experiencing all that Cuba has to offer. She was particularly patient with my poor use of the Spanish language and the language barrier between use. Staying with her in one of four guest accomodations during the shoulder season, allowed my partner and I time to learn about her former career as a doctor. At our request, Surama even joined my girlfriend for a day trip while I rested in bed, sick with a cold. Her generosity extended to caring for both myself and my partner while we were sick on separate occasions. It was like staying with a loving aunt! Surama is a wonderful person and an inspiration of human kindness. |Her "casa particular" is a two-storey colonial apartment. Each room has air conditioning and a balcony overlooking Sol or San Ingacio streets. A roof-top patio overlooks Old Havana and the Capitol building can be seen from there. The decor is accented throughout with beautiful stain-glass windows. Surama works hard to change the bed linens each days and clean the rooms while you're out, in addition to cooking breakfast each day at your request. Highly recommend meeting and staying with Surama!

Surama’s house is stunning - I loved the tropical decor and the rooms are amazing. The beds are comfy and the balconies are nice. The air con works very well and I had my own bathroom too. It’s in a good area of old Havana and is very safe. Surama always makes a huge breakfast and will go out of her way to help you. I travelled on my own (with a broken arm!) and she honestly made me feel like part of the family. Surama and her friend Carmen took good care of me without being overbearing, and showed me round Old Havana on my first day, which was really nice as it can be harder to meet people in Cuba without any hostel culture. I had issues with my bag not arriving to Havana and Surama helped me and waited at the airport for hours while I found it days later. Surama even cooked dinner for me after we got back from the airport hours later. Ill never forget my stay there and although I speak Spanish I would've been lost without Surama ❤️

My boyfriend stayed at Surama's 8 years ago & we were looking forward to coming back! In the heart of Havana & such a gorgeous home! Comfy beds, VERY clean & so accommodating! Surama is a wonderful cook & makes the best coffee! She helped up with everything! Currency exchange & transportation. I hope to return in the future!

We arrived here pure by chance with another couple from the UK, because our taxi dropped us off here. But we are very glad we did. We stayed here for four nights. ||When you reach the top of the stairs you arrive in a wonderful home, with even more wonderful rooms. Everything you need is here, and you will feel right at home. ||And Surama is an even more wonderful host, we spent hours talking with her.||I also definitely recommend the breakfast, it's a good start of your day. ||This casa particular is located in Habana Vieja, just south of the Plaza Vieja, so a lot of the highlights the city has to offer are in the vicinity. ||||Surama, muchas gracias por todo!

I stayed with Surama and Carlo for four nights and had a wonderful time! The casa's location is perfect, just a few steps from Plaza Vieja. Cuban life is palpable and many of Havana'a attractions are in easy walking distance. The rooms are impeccable and the hosts were helpful and very entertaining. I’ll make sure to stay at Ana y Surama's whenever I’ll return to Cuba!

After realising we weren't happy in Central Havana our tour guide recommended this lovely home in a perfect location. A stone's throw from Plaza Vieja (one of our favourite spots in the city!) it is more boutique hotel than casa particular - with a friendly hostess with impeccable style. Amply comfortable room and delicious breakfast to top it off. Just remember to bring a Spanish dictionary to aid translation if you're not familiar with the language. Great value and she gladly arranged our taxi to the airport at a very good rate. Muchas Gracias! PS - make the most of the water shop across the road! (Casa del agua)
