Recommended 200%. If you want to enjoy the warm treat of bahianos, stay in Casa Petunia. Staff is amazing and makes you feel at home, literally at home. Prepare yourself to have one of the most amazing breakfast of your life. Very safe, clean, next to the beach and to the lighthouse.

Very nice bed and breakfast, clean and simple rooms in a calm area of Salvador, very close to the beach. The people who attend you in the Pousada are lovely and open to help, but definitely the best thing about this b&b is the breakfast 😍 they serve traditional food, many different kind of things and when I told them that I was vegan they adapted a lot of the dishes for me, definitely the best breakfast we have tried in Brazil so far 👌

The staff here are EXTREMELY accommodating and friendly. The rooms and common area are comfortable, I relaxed on the hammock each night I returned from my ventures. Breakfast was delicious, and provided a great sampling of Bahia dishes.The location is just steps from the Barra lighthouse, beaches, and mall.||The owners speak English, but not all of the staff do. I speak very little Portuguese, but amazingly, I was able to hold 40-45 minute conversations with the staff and guests who spoke little English. Pure vibes.||My stay here was so refreshing.

Casa Petúnia is a wonderful little pousada in the middle of the Barra neighbourhood. Barra is where the lighthouse and Christ statue are along with some nice beaches. You can very easily walk to the beach from the Pousada, which I did many times. Petunia and Marcos took great care of me from the moment I arrived - on Christmas Eve of all days! The room was exactly as advertised, they took care of anything I asked for, and everything was clean and well done. Breakfast was definitely a highlight: Lena made sure you were well fed, including make tapioca and eggs on demand!||The only catch is that their English, while enough to get by, is a little rusty. If you speak even a little Portuguese it will help immensely, and they’re definitely friendly wonderful people if you can get through the communication barrier!

The hosts' friendliness makes you feel home.|The location is awesome and breakfast is out of this world. From fresh fruit, to purposedly baked cakes, to stuffed tapioca pancakes, everything is superb.|Twin beds are Queen, mattress is excellent and rooms are large. |All house furniture came from Bali and the overall ambient is relaxed and Budist based.|Our local trips were designed by the hosts and some of them even participated by them. Their touristic and restaurant repertoire is simply a must follow.|Definitely felt home and willing to return soon.

Everyone at Casa Petunia was kind and helpful. The whole family is friendly and make you feel very much at home. The incredible breakfast included freshly made juice, fresh fruit, eggs if wanted, a variety of breads, and all kinds of wonderful local specialties. I was offered a better room than I had originally booked for a nominal fee. My stay in Salvador was very relaxing and enjoyable thanks to Casa Petunia.

Awesome stay! Lovely breakfast with local specialities, fresh fruit everyday, fresh fruit juice, different kind of cakes and lots of other things. Were able to enter the room quite early, couple of hours before check in as we arrived early in the morning, thank you! Very friendly hosts and very charming decorated pousada! Would come here again! 😊

Excellent place to stay. The hosts let you feel at home with a friendly and personal treatment. The breakfast is a treat and you get to taste the local home cuisine. We do not have a single complaint. We also liked the location, close to a nice beach and ideal for morning walks along the ocean front.If it does not rain.
