The Mexico City Bar and Restaurant Openings We’re Excited About | Condé Nast Traveler
"From acclaimed bartenders Mafer Tejada and Mica Rousseau, this boîte's creative cocktails and fruit wines (try the banana one, seriously) are as impressive as the Art Nouveau building it calls home. And it’s all underpinned by a zero-waste philosophy: every ingredient is used in a drink or one of the light bites, like glazed duck tacos. There’s even a fermentation lab that's off-limits to patrons where all the experimentation takes place."
Casa Prunes in Roma is a gem. The food? Exquisite, each dish a testament to culinary artistry. Beyond the dining room, a sophisticated cigar bar offers a refined escape. The true standout, however, is the service. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, the staff elevates the entire experience. It's a blend of gastronomic delight and impeccable hospitality, making it a must-visit in CDMX.

Such a nice place spend spend a cozy Saturday afternoon with late lunch and some cocktails. I ordered New York steak, it was tasty and juicy. I think it’s been the best steak since I arrived Mexico 2 months ago!

Great space for a celebration, a tad pricy. There’s a Private cigar lounge, private tasting area and dining room for 10 guests. Beautiful

A super cool authentic early 20th century bar serving delicious upscale food and drinks. We visited mid day with a Sabor México food tour and everyone loved it. They served us 3 delicious taco dishes and a refreshing and fun Mezcal cocktail. There are some great private rooms to reserve for your hip gathering.

My husband, friends, and I recently stopped in at Casa Prunes on a Tuesday afternoon following some exploration of Mexico City. The building is an architectural wonder from the inside and out and is so beautifully decorated on the inside. You feel like you’re in a mini oasis in the center of a bustling city the drink menu is really fun and our group had a hard time deciding which cocktails to try entered the bar right as it opened so we had the whole place to ourselves and it was very beautiful and peaceful. I’m sure at this place must be a very cool spot to hang out, but I’m glad we visited during the day the natural light and all of the beautiful, indoor outdoor vibes. Note that the location is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Beside the good service and very chill-out atmosphere the building is a Historical authentic art nouveau monument - with very well kept details - my choice would be special cocktails ( penicillin and Negroni ) with a twist from the bartender - do not forget to visit the space on the second floor and special room dedicated to cigars !
