Casa Romantica La Parenzana

We stayed 2 nights as part of a cycle tour. Lovely rustic building. Good breakfast. Storage and charging for bikes. We ate both nights at the attached restaurant which was superb. Could not recommend more highly.

We had lovely time. People, food, location is amazing... Rooms are extra clean, everything works perfectly. The only thing that spoiled our experience is the noise. The guests were very quite but it looks like the walls are very thin.

Great location for exploring Istria, perfect for cycling and relaxing. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and super clean. The staff is amazing — from the housekeepers to the owner, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than expected for a 3-star B&B, just wish they’d top it up more often, especially for those of us who come a bit later (around 9), since it goes until 10. The only downside was the noise — you can hear other guests from nearby rooms, the hallway, and the restaurant terrace, even during quiet hours. Restaurant reviewed separately. Still, I’d definitely come back — had a great stay overall.

Our group was looking for a place to stay on our journey back home to break the trip up into two days. We came across the reviews for the attached La Partenza restaurant and so we booked our overnight at the Casa Romantica. Having a hotel attached to a lovely restaurant where you want to enjoy multiple courses, the excellent wine recommendations and the lovely service is convenient. The drawback is the large disconnect between the niveau of the restaurant and the hotel. It COULD be a blissful ending to a well spent evening with some loving renovations to the rooms and lounge. The potential is there. In the meantime it is clean and convenient.

Great family hotel outside of Buje. The room is clean, as well as the whole hotel. Breakfast is delicious and all staff members are polite and ready to help. The location is great to make day trips in various directions within Istria or to cycle on the nearby Parenzana cycle route. The nearest beach is 9 km away.

We visited the restaurant on April 6th, 2025. The owner, Marko, is an exceptional host who warmly welcomes every guest with a friendly and relaxed approach. The ambiance and service make the stay at the restaurant truly enjoyable, and the food is of outstanding quality. A wholehearted recommendation to visit!

Without a doubt this was our favorite stay in Istra. Our room was comfortable. The restaurant was exceptional. Our Breakfast was excellent and dinners were phenomenal. Vegetables were grown on site. All the baked goods were proudly made on site also. The service from all staff was top notch. The owners work hard to make this hotels a great experience. Thank you ❤️🇭🇷

The owner and his staff were fabulously friendly and all spoke English. The breakfast was delicious. Homemade orange chocolate croissants almost floated into my mouth, so fresh and light. The dinner menu is creative and every bite a delight. The staffs knowledge of local wines was extensive. The rooms are cozy and cooled quickly. A very happy place.
