It's a no frill hotel. We booked the hotel for more than 3 weeks. The room is ok. The reason for booking this hotel is that the price/room rate is very reasonable. My sister and I were constantly out of town. We mostly used the hotel so we have room to store our luggage when we are away from Cebu City. The bathroom drain wasn't working well the day we checked-in, but it was fixed as soon as the front desk was informed of the issue. The month of August in Cebu is still hot and humid. We left the A/C on all day, so that it would be cool when we come in the room from a humid outside. There's no air-conditioning in the hallway as well as the front desk, but it's ok, though. The hotel is always fully booked. I learned from the front desk personnel that if you call and tell them you are staying for more than a 15 days, you are given a discount -- 15%. We could have availed of the discount, but we booked through a third party (Agoda). There is a restaurant next to the front desk called Salt. Currently It's not owned/managed by the hotel, so if you need extra plates, cups, or drinking glasses in your room, just ask the front desk personnel (and ask for toiletries, too). The housekeeping personnel was friendly. We asked her to clean our room (I encouraged tipping, but it is not necessary). The hotel is near St. Patrick Square. There's a restaurant - Brown Cup- that serves affordable breakfast/meals. Also, the hotel is near a convenient store, 7-eleven, opened 24hrs; it is a walking distance to a lot of restaurants; near Robinsons Supermarket; near Redemptorist Church. The hotel is conveniently located in the city.

Place is all right, location is good. There's 7eleven right beside the building and a decent wifi. They have elevator and free water in the hallway. Just that the ambiance is very basic since the hotel is a little old. The shower is a bit broken and the toilet doesn't flush well. We just booked for two nights so not a big deal, still grateful for it's availability and service.

The place is very convenient to the Church where we would like to attend mass in the morning. The space is wide plus the bed is in King size. It is an old hotel however it maintained its facility.

Affordable hotel with basic amenities. Elevator going upstairs to my room is small and old. Room is infested with tiny ants, they seem to come from the bathroom. I suggest that you don't bring food and drinks to your room because the ants seem to have an almost magical ability to be there within minutes. My mistake as some of the ants got to my bed; I was bitten a few times as a result. I hope the management can address this problem.||||Lighting was poor and if you want to read a book or do some writing, you better sit down at the table as it has a lightbulb near it. The bathroom is spacious with a large sink and a wide mirror. Soaps, shampoos and toilet paper were provided. Shower has a heater so you can have as much hot water as you want. The problem is that the showerhead is situated near a wall so I had to stand very close to the wall to take a shower, but it's handheld so that's not much of a problem.||||My room has a balcony but the door to it has a damaged doorknob that won't lock. I felt safe though as my room was in the fourth floor so little chance for possible thieves to reach my room from the outside. I left my belongings in my room with no worries at all.||||The room has an old-fashioned feel but it has a large flatscreen TV as well as a tall, narrow cabinet with several hangers. Air conditioner was a little bit noisy but I got used to it. Low coolness was still too cold for me so I turned it off from time to time. Wi-fi internet was fast and reliable; I was even able to download apps and watch streaming videos. The internet was also a big reason why I stayed in this hotel for 3 days.||||Casa Rosario is a no-frills hotel for people on a tight budget. Shops, cafes and restaurants are nearby so you'll never go hungry. The staff including the security were friendly, courteous and accommodating. I could see myself going back to this place as long as the management fixes the insect problem and my other complaints.

I stayed here despite some of the negative reviews regarding ants, elevator too slow, buffet breakfast was ok and all that, etc,||My stay is for 5 days, I been here for 3 days already. The family room is comfortable, no bugs, shower is hot and works good and the aircon is cold. No complaints.||Downstairs employees very courteous and helpful. The buffet breakfast for 200 is good. I ate tocino and longnisa, scrambled eggs with veggies, toast, 2 helpings. Also they filioino vreakfast, also I had fried garlic rice. No complaints. Location is great can catch taxi right outside the door.||The reason I didnt give a 5 star rating is because it's obvious not a 5 Star hotel and its a very old hotel.||Worth the money, at least the family room i had is worth it.

The place is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer a month long stay for a very affordable price which we availed. Casa Rosario is near the business district like Mango and IT Park. I would definitely stay here again next time.

Not a top tier hotel. No safe in the room. Average breakfast. But the front desk was very good. I left my laptop in the room on a trip to Malapascua. The hung on to it for me and kept it at the front desk along with some money that I left in a drawer also. The doorman and front desk helped with my transportation also. The only reason it doesn't get an excellent is the building is a little worn out. It's not a major hotel chain. I like the family feel to it and it's clean. It's in a good location close to Mango Square and the price is right.
