This is a beautiful Casa Rural lovingly cared for and maintained by the family. On arrival we were greeted like long lost friends by Mercedes who gave us a tour of the little courtyards and balconies and explained about some of the furnishings and antiquities in the house. The house oozes charm and character in all areas and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious with a separate sitting room and modern bathroom. There was a fridge with complimentary water and a large comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. In the bathroom we were supplied with a basket of towels and a hairdryer along with shower gel and soap. Having the keys to come and go as we pleased was an added bonus. The house is only a few hundred metres from all the attractions of Almagro and there is plenty of street parking in the small side roads around the house, although there is no traffic noise at all. The swimming pool at the back, along with the well stocked fridge of cold drinks which are paid for on departure.....so be honest.....is very welcome particularly when the temperatures are in the high thirties. Again though, I have to go back to the star of the show, the lovely Mercedes who even gave me a small gift of a fan before leaving as a souvenir of our stay. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone thinking of visiting this area.

Was in Almagro for a meeting and this hotel was everything one could want - lovely large room, good wi-fi, convenient central location, quiet - and much more. Multiple courtyards, and a refreshing (=unheated!) swimming pool, amazing multi-function shower, rocking chairs and settee in room, with antiques and curios all over, making a memorable stay. Extremely friendly staff (with very limited English, but not a problem). Each room is obviously completely different, with several staircases. Mine (superior double) was very large, windows overlooking the courtyards on both sides, and a 5-foot duckunder to enter the door! Brilliant stay. Happy not to have a 'hotel' breakfast - the Plaza Mayor 2 min walk away has plenty of coffee shops (morning, bars evening) to have what you want.

We were greeted by the lovely owner of the hotel; she gave us a tour of the charming 18th century casa that is full of history and beautiful antiques. She also recommended a few things to do during our stay. Our room was enormous and very comfortable, overlooking a little street below. The hotel has several small courtyards to relax in and even a pool for summer guests (we were there in February). ||||The hotel is ideally located close to the central square where you will find a number of great local tapas bars and restaurants, as well as beautiful handicrafts. It is also home to the international classic theatre festival.||||Street parking easily available.

We stayed on an extremely hot day in June and were shown to our very cool room in this historic house. We were given a tour of the house by thd owner which has room around a series of outside patios. The furnishings and decor reflects the character and age of the house. Our room was quite dark as it's only window was on to one if these patios- this meant you could noise and chattering of other visitors and the owners- this did not bother us- at one point I heard a little girls voice calling our 'Abuela'. We opted for the buffet breakfast which was 10 euros each- perhaps a little expensive but we wanted to make a quick getaway and were not sure what time cafes would be open on the Sunday morning. As we stayed a Saturday night the town seemed quite lively and in the night I could hear the faint noise if disco/club music- my husband didn't hear this.

We only spent one nght here, and would have liked to spend more time. The house is very pretty and furnished with antiques, and there are several courtyards to relax in. It was totally quiet at night, which was very welcome. Its easy to walk anywhere from here. The staff who welcomed us and showed us around were very friendly and helpful.

In the centre of Almagro a few steps from the town centre , this Casa Rural is a first sight a fantastic time warp. Mercedes the owner greets you with great gusto and gives you a guided tour of the whole hotel , it feels as if you are in a museum, in fact it has one in a cellar. When you arrive in your chosen room it at first looks like a step back in time but the en suite is modern and up to date. The bed is super comfortable, one could sleep forever .||We will be back!

Set in a wonderful authentic house dating back from the 14th century you can enjoy a travel back in time in a bedroom decorated with antiques but having all the modern amenities: air conditioning, flat screen tv, massage shower..Each bedroom is unique, opening on one of the four patios. You are welcomed by Mercedes as if you were a member of the family, a truly unforgettable experience.
