We were upgraded to a private room on check in that was nice of the staff. Rooms were very spacious, bright with clean bathrooms and good shower pressure. Breakfast was very basic with bread rolls, ham, cheese and spreads. Disappointed that the location is advertised with a kitchen when it doesn’t. There is simple a fridge and microwave without a stove top or any cooking utensils available. Water is only available during breakfast hours and they do not allow refills. They should perhaps offer a $5 peso charge for unlimited water during the day like most other accommodation in Mexico City. Staff strictly adhere to the no noise after 9pm rule and there is 24/7 security. Good location but not overly appealing with guest needs

Extremely disappointed. I really wanted to like this place as the shared space is nice, but I have never slept worse at a hostel (or hotel for that matter). Room was very moldy, especially the bathroom. Even after moving the bed to the middle of the room and turning the fan on, I barely got sleep. Woke up early in the morning because staff was playing salsa music & the walls of the room are thin. Usually I love salsa, but not at 7am when mold prevented me from falling asleep in the first place. Breakfast was also very disappointing. Location is convenient (although a taxi told me it's a bit of a dangerous area), but I won't ever stay here again. Not worth it.

The hostel is in a beautiful historic building with high ceilings. Facilities were very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and security was no issue. However, I cannot recommend this hostel for a few reasons. Mosquitos were a real problem at night. They kept buzzing in my ear and biting my face, keeping me up for hours. Perhaps staff could remedy this by keeping the doors of vacant rooms closed at all times. The public shower had no hot or even warm water in the morning. Given the cost of the room, this is unacceptable. The location is not safe in the evenings, so I cannot recommend for other solo female travelers especially.

The place was very nice and rooms are clean. Everything was going well until my last night. I was woken up by staff at 2:30am for check in. When i inquired with the front desk staff why their own staff turned on the light and was giving a full tour in the middle of the night. She said, “you’re in a dorm, people can check in at anytime after 2 pm”. While I understand anyone can check in the middle of the night. The staff should respect their own quiet hours and tell new guests to be as quiet as possible. It is definitely not normal for staff to give full tours at 2:30 am.

Nice hostel, very clean, good breakfast. There is a security guard who buzzes you in and out. Front desk staff are polite. Not a lot of socializing going on, but perfect if you just want a pleasant quiet place to rest.

A different hostel than what I'm used to. Quiet and beautiful with friendly people and a curfew. The perfect place to stay if you want easy access to Mexico city's historic centre whilst having a noise free night. Highly recommended.

Nice place right in the heart of the city. Although the outside is an old house, the inside is well kept and the beds and common areas are comfortable and perfect to relax after a day of exploring the city. They could improve their internet connectivity which I found a bit slow but other than that I really enjoyed my staying there. I'd definitely come back.

One of the best Hostels in Mexico City-Downtown. Just a few blocks away from main streets, this hostel is a typical Mexican house. The people in charge such as the doorman and the receptionist are very gentle. I booked a four bed- bedroom with private WC, it was nice if you only want to have a bed at night. The room was pretty spacious with 4 lockers for everyone to keep safe things. Breakfast is included, do not expect much: juice,coffee, some bread and bananas, enough to have a quick meal and enjoy yourself in Mexico City.

I checked in on 10/24/18 & the lady at the front desk was extremely rude to my 2 friends who were visiting. My friends had a layover flight & just needed to store their belongings in my room for a few hours & freshen up. It was a horrible first impression of the hostel. My friends were so uncomfortable that they ended up leaving. Outside of that, the amenities & comfort of the hostel were fine. The hostel was very quaint & peaceful. I loved everything except for her service. The hostel was conveniently located & I always felt safe with the door service security.

A beautiful hostel very close to town. Amazing staff and courtyards are very beautiful. We were a couple staying here and probably would have liked to spend a tiny bit more for the ensuite bathroom as was a little noisy listening to people get up in the night to wee. Otherwise a good stay. Free breakfast of bread rolls and jam and 2 cereals. Fast WiFi

The building is fabulous, the location amazing, staff is super friendly and every single corner is fresh & clean. No noise, parties or mess allowed.
