Love the place. Spaceous, clean room and bathroom. Great walkable location. Nice breakfast, cozy style.

The hotel is charming,with a variety of places to relax. Going around every corner seems to reveal something new and interesting. Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. Even if you are not a “pool person“ I would recommend bringing a bathing suit The small pool just seems worth sitting in. Should we return to Santo Domingo we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Great location, spacious rooms. My only complaint is that we needed an iron and requested it several times. The desk clerk repeatedly told us he'd get us one, but never did, so we had to go out wearing our clothes all wrinkly.

Highly recommended. Casa Sanchez is ideally located to explore the Colonial zone in Santo Domingo. Steps away from the main pedestrian street, El Conde, and a few blocks to the main plaza. It is a small, charming place with a refreshing swimming pool, a rooftop area with a self-serve bar, jacuzzi and lounge area, and a delightful center patio garden where a good breakfast is served. The rooms are comfortable with good mattresses, smart TV, plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Saludos to Juan at the front desk who is always cheerful and ready to help you with anything.

This is a gem of a place. A small, well appointed, 3-star hotel (even though a plaque next to the door has 4 stars). The hotel occupies a couple of historic houses in the Colonial Zone of SD. The rooms are well appointed, breakfast is very pleasantly served in one of the two patios, while a small jacuzzi in the roof terrace provides a nice relaxing opportunity. The swimming pool in the second patio is not large enough for swimming and it does not receive much direct sunlight. All in all, the hotel is highly recommended to explore the Colonial Zone.

Casa Sanchez is my go to hotel when visiting friends in Santo Domingo ||It is located in an Enesco Heritage Center. One block away from the famous El Conde with parks, restaurants, music and shopping .||Hotel Casa Sanchez is very peaceful, has a beautiful pool on the first floor and a rooftop bar and hot tub on the second floor. ||The staff is very helpful and courteous. My room had a beautiful bathtub and shower and the bed had a mattress that I just melted into (very comfortable). ||The staff makes you feel like you're home. I highly recommend Casa Sanchez 😘||I

This hotel has great potential to be a great boutique hotel in La Zona Colonial, but it needs to be refurbished and maintained on a higher level. Granted that the surrounding area is not much better, which is a surprize since this is a major tourist location.

The reasons why I'm writing this is because I gave the manager a chance to call me and rectify the situation and she never did, First we were giving the wrong rates as lower rates were confirmed on a conversation on line. When we got there the lady who is the night manager was not professional and super rude. When we arrived there was only 1 towel in the room when the reservation clearly said two people. left t the room to get dinner when we return there was no hot water.. not even soap nothing. I called the front desk and explained the situation. She did call someone to get it fixed but with such attitute as if we were bothering her. She even said the manager was getting a bar of soap for the room. |The bed.. NO COMFORTERS only a very thin sheet, which is funny because the only thing that was nice was the AC. The pictures on line ARE not a reflection of the hotel itself,|I have to say ..the breakfast was great and the gentleman who took care of us in the AM was super nice. We were planning on staying 3 nights.. but ended up going to another one . Please please be aware , this place could be the best little hotel in town!! but right now is not working.
