Casa Shelly Hospedería

Casa Shelly exceeded our expectations, the interior was beautiful with a carefully finished rustic Spanish feel; clearly a lot of thought and expense has gone into the internal renovation. The room with its double aspect window/doors encouraged the brightness in, with shutters to keep the morning sun out was perfect. The bathroom facilities were excellent with plenty of room and the kingsize bed with cotton bed linen was incredibly comfortable with a quiet fan spinning above us. Use of the communal kitchen was a superb touch with a little walled courtyard to sit out and enjoy the complimentary, teas, coffees, rustic tasty biscuits and cake all individually wrapped (with plenty of fresh milk restocked in the fridge). Location was perfect with very short walks to bars, restaurants and sights and we drove to Cadiz and Barbate from here. We were touring independently staying at various hotels throughout the Andalusia and this was by far the most comfortable and perfect hotel and made Vejer de Frontera out absolute favourite spot in all the places we stayed. I would wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful comfortable and quiet boutique 'hotel' with its small number of rooms and very helpful, friendly property owner. Thank you for putting such a beautiful spot on the map!|Nearby church bells ringing until 12 midnight as we are light sleepers. However, we found our solution was just to stay up until 12 midnight so didn't become an issue.

Lovely place to stay in Vejer - it looks exactly like the photos and we had a lovely room with a little outside terrace which we really liked. Nicely decorated throughout and very clean. Attention to detail in the rooms and a chocolate each on the desk on arrival. There is a kitchen downstairs to make tea and coffee and there is some fruit. Chris recommended a lovely restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Great central location.

Loved everything about this place! Very central with great breakfast and dinner places around. Slept like a rock and loved I could so some morning exercises on my terrace. Also the complementary tea and fruits were very thoughtful 🙏

Excellent accommodation very centrally located in beautiful white village.. Very quiet yet close to bars and restaurants. Rooms simply but tastefully appointed with good air conditioning. Plenty of communal space. I believe all the terraces face inwards, so no noise but lacking a view of the wider area. No parking locally but the Casa offers discounted parking in the secure central village car park. Chris the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

We recently stayed in this beautiful house and highly recommend a visit. The renovation is beautifully done with comfort and style, while keeping original characteristics of the building and area. The bed is very comfortable and the room is decorated to perfection. The full kitchen for guests with fruit, muffins, coffee and tea was a nice surprise. Everything in the village is within walking distance and parking is available if you want to wander off to other areas for the day. Chris is very welcoming and responsive to any questions. He also gave us perfect directions to the check-in point which was appreciated due to the narrow one-way streets! We will come again if we are in the area. We had a wonderful week staying at Casa Shelly. Chris is the best host and has thought of everything to make your stay very comfortable as well as being available to give any recommendations required. The housekeeping throughout the entire building is absolutely faultless. |It is quite simply a beautiful place to stay.

For the last 11 years running we have come to Casa Shelly and absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. Chris looks after his clients with the utmost care and attention. The rooms are exquisite, superclean and are urban chic in design and detail. By far this is the nicest place to stay in Vejer, and the reason why Vejer is my favourite place in Spain. The customer service is excellent from Chris, with precise attention to detail and a feeling of being in a luxury home away from home, need I say anymore!
