Great time at Casa Sol. The owners/family were incredibly welcoming and gracious hosts, and their handmade breakfast each morning was absolutely delictable. The room was large (and high ceilings made it feel even larger), with a great bathroom/shower, and strong AC. Also had a very comfortable bed. This was a great experience overall, and we would recommend this to anyone traveling to OSJ, and it's incredibly walkable to everywhere. We will ahve trouble ever staying at a hotel [and not a BnB] after this experience.

Everything about our stay was so great. The owners, Eddie and Tisha, were incredibly welcoming along with their son Michael. The breakfast every morning was consistently our best meal of the day. Their knowledge of the island, beaches, culture and vision to protect their heritage made our stay so unique and perfect. We will definitely be back. Do not hesitate to book. LGBTQ friendly

We highly recommend this lovely little bed and breakfast. The location is great, as it is in Old San Juan but close enough to the outer road so as to make using ride shares convenient. ||The building is updated making to stay extremely comfortable but it maintains the historic architectural features with complementary decor. ||Our hosts were thoughtful and friendly, serving delicious breakfasts in the beautiful little courtyard and just making guest feel comfortable all around. I am so glad we found this gem.

Great location and truly personalized service! Eddie and his team went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was both beautiful and delicious, served in a charming open-air courtyard that struck the perfect balance between private and communal. On a day we needed to head out early, Eddie thoughtfully accommodated us with coffee and fruit before our journey, which was so appreciated. He was also incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations and local tips that made exploring even better. Highly recommend this B&B for anyone looking for a welcoming and memorable stay!

Without a doubt, we will be staying here on every future trip to San Juan. Eddie and his family have created a perfect B&B. The location is walkable to all areas of Old San Juan. We even easily walked from there to the cruise port. The room was extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts each morning were amazing!! Be aware that you are on the ground floor, so there could be some street noise. But don’t let that stop you from…book it now!

We are absolutely obsessed with Casa Sol! From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were visiting old friends. Eddie was so kind and welcoming, full of helpful local tips and warm hospitality that made our stay extra special. The rooms are cozy, charming, and full of delightful little details, and breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect, just steps from all Old San Juan has to offer. We visited for the Bad Bunny concert and felt perfectly safe walking around the area and the hosts gave us tips for getting around in the safest and most convenient ways. We left with full hearts and look forward to visiting again!

This was our first Family Trip ❤️ |I knew Casa Sol was the place for us when I booked it. The charm, the culture, the cozy home feeling, WE LOVE IT! Room was super comfy and clean. It’s close to everything. Tisha, Eddie and Kayla were amazing as was breakfast each day….On the first day after having breakfast , Tisha lent us beach towels and sunscreen to start our day off at the beach… while on our 3rd day we got stranded a La Parguera, so as I sadly reached out to them letting them know we’d miss breakfast the next day. Their response was empathetic and heroic as they got us a ride back to town. We were very grateful 🫶🏼✨They were also very accommodating as we had night flights so they gave us a late night check in & check out. 10/10 book it, You’ll Love It ! ||Thank you Casa Sol for having us ☀️

My daughter and I added on a night at Casa Sol to our PR trip. It gave our trip so much more dimension than staying only at a large resort. We loved the communal court yard where breakfast was served. The breakfast itself could not have been better. The location gave us a convenient jumping off point to explore Old San Juan. The personal service from Eddie and Tisha made me feel like I was staying with family. I look forward to staying there again and trying their partner b and bs around the island.

Yelp
This B&B is in a great location in the old San Juan area. Just a couple of blocks from San Cristobal Castle, a block from the ocean and close to Morro castle and the heart of old San Juan - it's hard to beat this location. The rooms are comfortable and the air conditioning is excellent. Their wi-fi is fast and very reliable. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. I am a very light sleeper, so I did notice the street noise from an active area in any type of city. My wife and couple we were travelling with had no problems. But to be this close to everything, this was a non-issue for me because the B&B and location are really top-notch. If you want the best of all worlds when staying in the old San Juan area, this is the place to be.

Yelp
Beautiful house and rooms, delightful patio, warm welcome and delicious breakfast that is made on the spot every day. What else can you ask for..?

Yelp
Casa Sol is a wonderful place to stay! I had never stayed at a b&b and wanted an authentic experience, visiting San Juan. The room is so cute and clean, and it is walking distance to so many shops, bars, and restaurants. Breakfast each morning was delicious and didn't ever leave me hungry (bowl of fresh fruit and coffee and juice). Next time we want to visit San Juan, we will definitely stay here again! They also suggested a couple other b&bs to visit (Casa Flamboyant and Dos Aguas--make sure to check them out, too!) ***PRO TIP: If you intend on being in San Juan for more than a day, I HIGHLY recommend not having a car until you decide to leave and explore other parts of the Island. Everything is walking distance so there's no need to drive (or you can Uber). If you absolutely have to pick up your rental car right off the bat, you will have to park you car overnight in a garage or a lot. There is a $3/day lot that is a little bit of a walk, near the National Guard base. Drop off your luggage with someone in your party and they'll check in, and you should park your car there.

Yelp
Excellent Stay, personal care and breakfast by Eddie. We loved our stay here especially in the room that has in the attic. The bed is on the top floor which is connected with wooden stairs. I would not recommend it for people with disabilities or with issues with stairs. We stayed here for 4 days midweek February. It rained every day but it was warm and it was just showers. The breakfast is superb you may see pictures below. Very comfortable stay in the room which has a dehumidifier and air conditioning . I would come back in a heartbeat

Yelp
This place was cozy, friendly, safe & close to all the sights in Old San Juan. The COVID cleanliness protocols were impressive. Also, we had to make a last minute change and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. Would definitely recommend this!

Yelp
Beautifully restored historic bed and breakfast in Old Town San Juan. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Excellent breakfast, comfortable beds, excellent location. Highly recommend

Yelp
The owners of Casa Sol have found the perfect balance of welcoming you and giving you space. The B&B is clean and cozy and the courtyard breakfasts are to die for! I stayed while on a work trip and Casa Sol was an ideal beginning and end to each busy day. Also conveniently located and pretty quiet.

Yelp
If you are looking for an authentic Puerto Rican stay in Old San Juan, this is the place for you! After a long morning of travel we arrived earlier than check-in time and were graciously received by Eddie, one of the owners. Eddie and Tisha are a couple who left the corporate world to start this B&B. Although we were early, Eddie said it wasn't a problem and we could store our luggage and explore the city. He sat down with me and a map (while my husband was returning our rental car)and went over places to eat, local attractions, and things to do. He then asked me to place a pin on a map in their kitchen to show where we were from. It was so cool to see guests from all over the world had stayed there! He then showed me the kitchen and told me to help ourselves to water whenever. Eddie also asked about any dietary restrictions for the morning breakfast (which was delicious.) When we did check-in to our room it was clean and beautiful. It was adorned with local artwork and had 18 foot ceilings! Tisha was once an interior designer and her lovely touch is displayed throughout the house. There is a relaxing open patio with plants to hang out in and have a cup of coffee. My favorite part of this experience is that they allowed their sweet dog Oreo mingle with the guests. I was really missing my dog and to be able to cuddle with Oreo was truly a treat! I woke up early and asked to take Oreo on her morning walk and Eddie was more than happy to let me. Also, if you're not a dog person, no worries, Oreo will only come to you if you approach her, she's the chilliest dog. Again, if you are looking for somewhere authentic and warm to stay, the place for you! I loved chatting with Tisha and Eddie and hearing their story of how they started this lovely establishment and also how they coped during Maria. I also forgot to mention that they have solar panels and are very green. They actually still had power during Maria thanks to the solar panels. Thank you Eddie and Tisha, thanks to you we couldn't have enjoyed OSJ more because of you and your lovely B&B!

Yelp
Looking for a unique experience in lodging in OSJ? This place rocks! Hosts Eddie and Tish will make your stay memorable in this restored 4 room bnb. Great location. Within walking distance of all attractions. Fantastic breakfast included.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful time in Casa Sol. Our hosts are a lovely couple. The location is great. Between 2-10 mins to everywhere you should visit when you are in Puerto Rico. The style of the B&B make you feel the culture of Puerto Rico.

Yelp
Casa Sol continues to receive the highest ratings, and I can add my applause as well. Truly, the shared home of Eddie and Tish in old San Juan is worth a visit. My wife and I visited at the end of February and spent 2 nights before heading to Vieques. We followed Eddie's email advice to use Ralph's taxi service from the airport, and we liked Ralph so much we stayed with him for both runs to Ceiba for the ferry to Vieques. Casa Sol is immaculately clean and truly one of the greenest establishments we've seen...in all senses of the word, from the off-grid energy independence, to suggestions to guests about green practices, to the delicious locally sourced foods, to the lush inner courtyard with individual labels on the trees and plants. Highly recommend and we would certainly go back without hesitation.

Yelp
Stayed in the Muralla room during our stay. Room was great and has a claw foot tub and a loft. Clean and good size for a couple. Located in central Old San Juan, surrounded by great shops and restaurants. Owners were very welcoming and accommodating. Our stay came with a great breakfast, too. We hope to stay here again during our next stay in Puerto Rico.

Yelp
Lovely B&B in the old city. Walk to all the historic sites and restaurants. Come and go as you please through the gorgeous iron work gate. Enjoy the open air courtyard day or night, just remember the quiet hours, which I greatly appreciated. The La Muralla room has a comfortable bedroom loft plus a futon, to sleep 1-2 children (at most). Small but functional private bathroom with claw foot tub. The breakfasts were amazing! Fresh fruit, fresh baked goods, plenty of hot coffee and fruit juice, plus a different main dish daily. One very nice touch is the hand crafted doll that waits on your bed and another is the availability of full sized beach towels to borrow. I cannot say enough great things about this charming and welcoming spot.

Yelp
I was very pleased with Casa Sol. We liked the intimate setting and its location in Old San Juan was lovely. The interior courtyard was lovely - bright, calm, peaceful, well decorated. The owners were kind and helpful - particularly with arranging taxis for arrival and departure. I had a few issues. First, the room was small so the bed took up most of the space. Also, when we turned over, the whole bed moved. Our room was on the street side and it was definitely noisy on occasion. One of the days we were there we had a tour that left somewhat early, but not extraordinarily so: 9:00 am. They gave us coffee and fruit and that was actually sufficient, but it does not seem like a big ask to have the full breakfast available for an 8:40 am departure. The other breakfast (which we had in full) was delicious, so we "missed" not having the one we did not get since we were curious what they would prepare for an encore. The coffee was good too. And the fruit was delectable. We'd go back.

Yelp
This bed and breakfast was one of the nicest we have enjoyed in our many years of travel across the globe. We booked this place for the day before we were boarding a cruise ship. The owner contacted and booked a taxi from the airport to the B&B so all we had to do was grab our luggage and call the driver. He was waiting outside with a sign so he was easy to find. We bypassed the long line waiting for taxis and started on the 15 minute trip to the B&B Ralph had the FOB to the B&B so we entered the courtyard and met the owner Ed . It was a lovely courtyard and Ed showed us to our room to store our luggage. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. We got recommendations and embarked on our walk around old San Juan. Ed recommended El Jibarito for dinner but we decided to eat at Deaverdura for dinner instead but grabbed lunch at El Jibarito the next day. The next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast of waffles, fresh fruit, crispy bacon, fresh squeezed orange and mango juice and coffee. We went out to walk even more of Old San Juan before checking out. Ed arranged for another taxi to pick us up when we were ready to check out and head to the boat. He allowed us to store our luggage while we walked around so that was very nice since we were not planning on going to the ship until after lunch which was well after the check-out time. We accidentally left something in the taxi but didn't realize it until we were on the boat. We called Ed and he contacted the taxi driver found it then Ed coordinated with another guest coming to the ship later and had the Taxi driver give it to them to deliver to us. Above and beyond. We loved our stay and the food/service so we will definitely return and recommend to everyone that this is the place to stay in old San Juan.
