Casa Taos, Near Marrakech, Morocco - Explore & Book

"Step from your suite into 3 hectares of lawns, lemon and orange groves and pecans, apricots, peaches and plums, and head for a palm-slung hammock by the shimmering pool. First impressions suggest a glamorous desert resort, but Hicham and Karima’s renovated villa is run like a maison d’hôtes; this is not a hotel, they insist, but a family home, filled with warmth, generosity, life and soul. Set in Souihla - Morocco’s ‘little California' - the adobe-style villa is a confection of terracotta pillars, carved cedar, tadelakt plaster and earthy talaouh, finished off with splashes of vibrant colour. The 7 guest suites are spacious and striking; some have distant views of the Atlas Mountains, others open onto the refreshingly cool pool, lined with parasols and rattan loungers. Hicham used to have a gallery in Casablanca, and every pore of the décor reflects his love of art; he used to run restaurants, too, and the food here is a real treat. From intimate courtyard breakfasts to merry candlelit dinners in the contemporary dining pavilion, the variety, quality and freshness of the dishes is amazing. Bliss, too, to return from the medina to orange blossom and birdsong - and you can rely on your hosts to negotiate a fair price with the grands taxis into town. Highs Really wonderful home-cooked food, prepared with fresh fruit, veg and aromatic herbs grown in the kitchen garden A tranquil oasis of lush gardens and palm trees Large, super-comfortable suites, zinging with colour. Most have terraces or mini gardens and winter fireplaces The personal touch - the owners and their staff are perfect hosts Great for kids of all ages as well as couples, solos and friends Lows You are reliant on taxis to get you in and out of Marrakech; be aware not all taxis are roadworthy and many don't even have seatbelts Like many swimming pools in Marrakech, this one is unheated, but the pool area is very attractive The dogs at the villa are friendly but there were inevitably some renegade dog leavings in the garden" - Lesley Gillilan

Casa Taos was an oasis of elegant welcome for us on our 8 day trip with two little kids. We arrived on a sunny afternoon to cake and fresh clementine juice from their garden; the kids were relieved to roam in the grass with the chickens and Oslo the dog after lots of stimulation and restraint in more urban settings. The gardeners shared some fresh pecans with us. Ishmael and Hynde made us so welcome each morning and evening for meals and Hicham advised us and facilitated great outings with local drivers. We loved our visit.

Wonderful, peaceful small hotel with pool, gardens, hammocks in the palm trees, gorgeous food, large stylish rooms, hidden alcoves and many seating areas to relax in, fantastic attention to detail and most important of all with wonderful people running it all and looking after everyone like family. |There are 7 rooms and they are all different - many have fireplaces (it gets cold at night in the winter); some have baths rather than showers; others have seating areas in the rooms or terraces. |Ask Hicham the owner for advice - he is endlessly patient, answering questions by email and checking in with all the guests morning and evening. He also organised all of our trips (balloon ride, Atlas Mountains waterfalls, quad bikes in the desert, taxis into Marrakesh) and would contact the companies the day before to double check everything was organised. Everything went so smoothly thanks to his attention to detail. |The breakfasts are amazing and beautifully presented. They also offer lunches and evening meals, all freshly cooked with many ingredients from their garden. We never got bored of the food in the week that we stayed, with a different option (meat or veggie) offered each evening and a wide choice for lunch. |All the staff are amazing but a special mention for Hind who just has that amazing instinct for knowing what you want before you do! She just makes everything work so smoothly and is so kind. |This place gave us the relaxation and care that we needed, and was a beautiful base to have for exploring further afield and then go back to recharge before the next adventure. |Thank you to Hicham, Hind and the team. |We will be back!

A haven of peace and tranquility on the outskirts of Marrakech with outstanding service provided by Hicham and his team, Ismail and Hind. As I write this looking out onto the rain dripping off our little olive tree in cold grey Somerset I wish I was back in Casa Taos with Hind and her cheerful smile providing us with the best home made yoghourt and jam and croissants we have ever had! Comfortable spacious rooms, discreet 5 star service and a calm environment make Casa Taos a perfect Moroccan experience.

My wife and I spent two nights at Casa Taos in May of 2025 and had a fantastic stay and particularly enjoyed a break from the busy Marrakesh Medina. The food was grown on their farm all very tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Our large room overlooked the pool and had nice linens. Peaceful setting and would gladly stay here again.

Most fabulous stay. Hisham is the most gracious host, made us feel at home from Hello. Staff was attentive and professional. We were there for a week and the food was so good. Accommodation was lovely, great big suite, pool sunbeds everything you need for a relaxing stay away from hustle and bustle of Marrakech but within 20 to 25mins taxi drive. Nothing we requested was too much trouble. It was the most precious vacation thanks to Casa Taos. Highly recommend this morrocan experience.

If you are looking for a secluded serene spot, offering excellent food, search no more! We came 18 years ago with young children and never had the chance to come back but the place lives up to our memory. Nothing ostentatious but good taste pervades inside and outside. The rooms are very large and confortable, ours had a lovely bath tub, our son’s had a massive shower.|The pool set up is wonderful with extremely confortable sunbeds. |Casa Taos is 20-25 mins drive from the Medina -Katoubia (a taxi service is organised if you want to go in the city). As we know Marrakech quite well already, this suited us perfectly.|We ate at Casa Taos every night and the food did not disappoint - varied, tasty, fresh and delicious. You have to experience the Friday night couscous!|Thank you Hicham for your warm welcome. Special mention to Nin who is kind and attentive.

The food, service, tranquility, rooms and pool area with the hammocks is a small slice of "somewhere-you-never-want-to-leave-again"!||We loved the fact that Casa Taos is a bit outside the very vibrant Medina - we felt this gave us the best of both worlds. It was easy to get a taxi in to the fun (and noise) of the Souks as well as home again to peace and quiet.||Hind and Smile could not be more attentive & kind, and the place is spotless. ||Lots of great things to do in the area (requires a taxi / car).||For us the beds were a bit hard and main courser at dinner very big portions for smaller people so recommend kids to share. ||Casa Taos is one of the places we all 3 agree that we HAVE to go back to.
