A wonderful find in Provesende where we were staying. We were lucky enough to reserve in the early afternoon for tonight and were so happy we did. The food was fantastic and so much for the two of us we couldn’t eat it all. Everything was fresh and tasted so good my husband gave the owner a hug!! Prices were so reasonable. We highly recommend a visit to this town for a lovely meal if you can book ahead.

The service attitude was very bad. If you didn't make the reservation, you cannot eat there. There will be an 8 people group in an hour, and the host was angry and didn't want to talk with us. Taking away is not possible neither.

Very small restaurant with a beautiful upstairs dining area.
The port wine braised pork was the best meat we have ever eaten. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Graça was a wonderful host, making us feel at home at her restaurant. The food was incredible, definitely one of our best meals in Portugal. The restaurant is in a tiny town where you really feel like you’re getting a local feel. Definitely would recommend dinner here!

The best food we have got in Portuga. Simple, authentic and straight to the point. Not bla bla bla at all but food as you would get at home with your grandma as per opposition to all the cheap talk you get in many high ranked restaurants. If you have the opportunity go there.

It's a good thing we called before going, because it requires booking in advance. In other words, they didn't give us the opportunity to have the experience. It would be interesting to have some information here that would warn us about this particular issue.

In decades of world travel, this is one of the best places we've ever eaten. Reservations only for this tiny cafe in a tiny village up in the hills above the Douro Valley. You will be asked if you want meat or fish, the rest is up to her.

What an incredible restaurant - local ingredients and home cooking for great value and a great atmosphere. In my opinion it is worth it to go out of your way to come here. Make sure you make your reservation at least 12h in advance
