My husband and I recently got married in Cascais and we chose Casa Vela as our wedding hotel (where both of our families stayed for several nights). We cannot recommend it enough. The hotel is absolutely stunning - the grounds are pristine. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. There is a suite perfect for our bridal party to get ready during wedding morning. We worked with Marco closely throughout the process. He worked so diligently to ensure every detail was thoughtfully carried out. We hosted a bridal shower one evening at Casa Vela with food and drinks prepared by their team. We had our wedding photographers come to Casa Vela on wedding day to do our first look and family photos - there were so many beautiful spots to choose for the background. Marco also ensured that there were snacks, coffee, and water available during family photos. Casa Vela is a fantastic space for larger groups, including wedding parties. We cannot recommend them highly enough! We look forward to returning.

A hidden treasure in Cascais! Casa Vela is a lovely boutique hotel that is perfect for relaxation. You are walking distance to the city center but feel a million miles away when at the hotel. We traveled with our 6 and 8 year old and they loved it too, especially the hotel cat. The staff was so welcoming and kind. I probably wouldn’t come back with kids only because it was so quiet and relaxing, they didn’t quite fit the vibe. However I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

A lovely hotel in a quiet residential area which is in the 'museum neighbourhood' of Cascais town. Situated about ten minutes walk from the town centre which is full of restaurants, cafes and bars - and of course the museums. |It is about fifteen minutes walk from the train station which is handy for day trips to Lisbon. (Although I would highly recommend if you intend to arrive with your luggage by train that you get a taxi from the station as the route is hilly in places and the pavements are cobbled!) In the other direction are the Boca do Inferno cliffs, about fifteen minutes walk.|The hotel itself is set in lush green landscaped gardens with two swimming pools and various water features. Our room (number 28) had a large private patio, a sofa and a kitchenette. The staff were very helpful and approachable; special thanks to Milene for her dedication to customer service. We opted for breakfast which was a continental style buffet, fresh and delicious that was constantly replenished. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again.

A hidden gem and an oasis of calm in a residential and less touristic part of Cascais. The gardens are beautiful and the hotel has recently added a sauna cabin behind one of the two swimming pools. The breakfast is a very good buffet with all you can wish for, including fresh orange juice and delicious pasteis de nata. The staff is efficient and very helpful. Rooms are all different but all well appointed and make you feel at home. Great location: walking distance ( 5-10 minutes) from the historic center, restaurants and cafes and 10 minutes to the beach or Marina.

Lovely peaceful stay. Gardens are beautiful, with water features. Pool lovely. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast buffet. |When returning back after a morning out, there is coffee, cake and fruit, and the honesty bar is fab.

What an amazing place! Highly recommend for couples. It is super dog friendly and the stuff is friendly and attentive. The gardens and the pools are absolutely magical. Feels like a little forest:). Location is perfect! only 8 min walking distance from the center where you can find restaurants , bars and beaches. My favorite was the sauna and the ice bath. It is a dry sauna operated on firewood. Make sure you ask the stuff to start it since it takes about 2 hours to warm up.

Paradise on earth! What an incredible place to stay! Surrounded by nature. The garden is beautiful with a lot of different kinds of trees and plants all labelled by name. A botanical experience in the middle of Cascais. What a plus! Everything is perfect! The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, clean, and stylish. The breakfast is amazing with lots of delicious and fresh options. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Perfec experience that I want to repeat again when travel to Cascais. Highly recommend.

Great stay even though our visit was right after a terrible storm. Chain saw noise filled the air and we toured the town amid off-and on downpours. The hotel staff welcomed us at 7 am. We had a lovely suite with gorgeous views of the grounds. Breakfasts were SPECTACULAR. Loved our visit - highlight of our trip to Portugal even with the uncooperative weather. Had a good dinner in town. too.
