The heated pool is one of the highlights — warm, inviting, and surrounded by peaceful greenery. The sauna can add an extra level of relaxation and made the experience feel luxurious and thoughtful. Breakfasts were fresh, tasty, and well-balanced, with great attention to detail. A very special touch was the 24/7 mini-bar in the living area — always available, cozy, and perfect for a late-night drink or a relaxed moment during the day. Elegant, peaceful, and full of charm. I have stayed in this nice hotel. It is situated close to ocean. It has amazing garden with ducks, flowers amazing spots. Such a pleasure. Such beautiful places inside. So good view from the room. there was 2 pools: one heated and one cold, sauna. Amazing spot for breakfasts. The breakfast is not big but everything we need - especially fresh squeezed orange juice. I recommend.

We had an excellent stay at the Casa Vela Boutique House while in Cascais. The grounds, gardens, and pool area are absolutely stunning and meticulously cared for. It was only a short 12-15 minute walk into Cascais which was perfect for a quiet and secluded feel. Service was great too. The breakfast was average but they did provide a nice welcome beverage and upgraded us to a suite upon arrival. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We loved our time there!

The most divine of stays. A delightful and engaging garden filled with natural love, beauty, two pools, a sauna, an ice bath, various coy fish ponds, majestic ducklings with bad boy mullet hair cuts, attractive humans, and exotic fountains. To stay here is to love thy self.

We had an amazing 2 weeks at the beautiful Casa Vela. The gardens are wonderful and look like the pictures. The room was beautiful and was every day expertily cleaned. The location was good, in a quiet neighborhood 10 mins from big new supermarket and into the center with restaraunts.Tanya (at the pool bar) was great and really went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed. She gets 5 stars alone. All in all a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Lovely hotel, although rooms can vary within one category.|Stayed for 4 nights in a Superior room with Kitchenette. First room we were given was OK, but you had to go to the small iron balcony via your bathroom. The balcony just about had room for a small table and 2 chairs. It was my birthday during our stay, so we wanted our stay to be special (I'd emailed and booked well in advance to ensure the hotel was aware). So we asked to move to a different room. 2nd had large terrace with room for table and chairs and sun loungers much better. Although still a little disappointing that the hotel didn't assign us the 4 poster room which is the one they send a picture of - so be aware, your room may differ greatly.|We liked the breakfast and the 'honesty' bar and use of the lounge area in the main house. The location was good - much nicer to be a little out of town - but the surrounding construction noise wasn't good - be aware there are building works almost everywhere in Cascais so finding a hotel in a truly tranquil location is probably impossible at the moment.|A few things that could be improved to be a truly Boutique hotel - some decent toiletries in the bathroom, not just soap and shower gel - hand/body lotion, proper shampoo and conditioner should be provided. Towels should be fluffy (not ones that look like they've been used for years). As the kitchenette rooms have a kettle etc then milk should be provided in the fridge. Also pool is freezing - too cold to get in and flies around the 'heated' pool make it impossible to stay there - maybe the garden could do with a good prune every where.|Finally we were not informed that a Yoga studio was under construction in the hotel grounds - might have been nice to be warned.

What a lovely and homey place to stay. It has the most fresh breakfast buffet I’ve had in years. Lots of choices in types of breakfast styles and everything was freshly made. English breakfast, bread, fruit, yoghurt, it was all there. The swimming pool is nice and not overcrowded. The garden has many lovely spots to relax and enjoy the green garden. Our apartment had a lovely little garden. So we could easily relax, just the two of us with a nice bottle of wine.

We loved our week's stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Melissa. The room was a good size with a large balcony. The gardens are beautiful. It was so peaceful sitting by the pool with the little fountains providing the only sound. Some koi carp and ducks in one pond. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices including gluten free bread. There is free cake and coffee every evening which we enjoyed in the beautiful living room as in photo. Everywhere is kept very clean. We fully intend to return to Cascais and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
