For those in the know, Corrales, NM remains a hidden gem along the banks of the Rio Grande. Often overshadowed by its larger neighbors, Corrales is a special and unique place for its residents—and for those wise enough to veer off the main urban roads in search of something more peaceful. Amidst the newer homes and businesses are farms, ranches, and adobe structures that have stood longer than the United States itself. One such standout is the beautiful adobe known as Casa Vieja—a site where a home has stood since 1712, if not earlier. Within these historic walls, you’ll find a thoughtfully curated selection of handcrafted beers, local wines, and exceptional cocktails. The staff welcome you like guests in their own home—which, in a way, you are. Eat beforehand, or take advantage of a nearby food truck. Then settle in—order a drink at the bar or find a cozy spot in one of the beautiful rooms, including “The Chapel”—and savor every sip of passionately crafted wine, beer, or cocktails. Most importantly, soak in the rich history of this incredible location.

what a cool place! walked in on a saturday afternoon, barkeeper let us know there was no wait staff, we should order there and sit anywhere and there was a pizza truck outside. We had some delish appetizers from there and good beer. Such a unique atmosphere - bringing my friends back for karaoke night soon! Bathroom and all areas were very clean. Small staff was great.

Beautiful venue and patio! The pizza truck “In pizza we trust”was excellent! The beer was great but sad to say our service there was horrible! We had to flag someone to take our order. We opened a tab. It took a very long time to get our beers which was fine as the band was still setting up. Good music. Once we got our beers we never saw our server again. I wanted another beer but she never came to check on us. We had to go inside and hunt our server down to pay our bill.

Stopped by this evening to have a beer and a burger. Server brought us our beers . Never saw him again. Asked different server to turn inside music off so we could listen to the live entertainment. This guy told us that other customers wanted to listen to the piped music in the bar. So I went to look in the bar. Only employees on their phones! When wait staff ignores and lies to their customers - I don’t want to go back. Plus it just did not feel clean. Too bad. This used to be such a unique and enjoyable destination.

Google
A nice place with good drinks and usually good live music and a food truck. The outdoor seating is cool due to the shady trees. Service was noticeably slow, likely due to the cramped indoor spaces and uneven ground, which combined with the tall glasses meant I saw a few servers spill a bit of the beers they were carrying.

Google
Fun place to enjoy a great band (Odd Dog) on a Saturday night. There aren't quite enough servers, but they are friendly and the beer is good. Food is highly dependent on which food truck is there..

The beers deserve a stop and sip. My wife, dog, and I visited this brewery travelling from Colorado. The customer service and drinks were top notch. They are very dog friendly, and even offered our pup a bowl of water in the heat. We got caught in a quick rain pour, and the table next to us offered space for shelter. The people, staff, and drinks truly can't be beat. Francis was FANTASTIC. She kept us laughing and truly made us feel at home. Definitely a "must try" if you're in the area.

Wonderful Toasted Coconut Stout. One of the better stouts around. We enjoyed the others we tried in the flight, as well. Excellent guest food truck, Nom Nom on Wheels. The interior is beautiful and bright and lovely fireplaces. The patio is nice, spread out and warm. Live music and good wait staff. We really enjoyed our visit.

Yelp
Just a cute quaint place! Whether you're on the patio, by the crackling fireplace in the sun room or at the bar there isn't a bad seat in the house! Staff is friendly and Karaoke with the locals was a treat to watch. Nice variety of food trucks too.

Yelp
Met a friend here for happy hour this past week. I ordered an IPA at the bar, and sat on the patio while I waited for my friend. It was 5 p.m. and it was empty when I got there. there was a large patio, which had plenty of shade. The bartender actually came out to the patio and took our order for a second round. I enjoyed the patio and the beer. There was plenty of seating inside as well. Really cute place. There was a food truck called "Pack N Bowlz" outside. lots of healthy salad choices and a taco choice. I ordered a Cobb salad which was so tasty and my friend ordered the tacos, which she enjoyed. Overall, such a cute place. Also, the parking lot was large, so lots of parking.

Yelp
Saturday, March 4, 2023. My wife and I stopped here for drinks. We were headed to the next door Indigo Crow for dinner and decided to wet our whistles. A fire raged in the fireplace and we sat at a table near it. Note: there is a food cart outside and that is the only food they serve, besides some gourmet popcorn. When we were seated, our room only had one other occupied table, but within ten minutes all the tables were full. We met Dan O'Brien and Molly Smith, the new owners of Casa Vieja. They bought the place in September 2022 from the Socha family. Dan and Molly were quite nice and told us they grow the grapes for the Vinedo Pajaro Azul wines on their property in Albuquerque. Dan is a musician and was helping a band set up for a show as we were leaving. Casa Vieja dates back to the 18th century as part of the Alameda land grant. This property has been a brewery, hospital, fine dining restaurant, event center and is now a brewery again. This place is large, beautiful and spacious inside with many different rooms. Some paranormal activity is known to happen at Casa Vieja. Orbs have been detected on infrared cameras and ghostly music is sometimes heard. My wife and I didn't encounter anything weird on our visit. I ordered a flight of six Vinedo Pajaro Azul wines for $10. About a three ounce pour of each including: Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Cuvee, Rose, Chardonnay and Paloma Blanca. I liked the Cabernet Franc best and ordered a glass for $9.50. The whites were a bit too bland for my liking. My wife ordered a pint of the WinterSun Dark Hefeweizen (5%,11 IBU, $6.50). She liked the caramel overtones in this winter beer. This place is known for their Duke's Red Ale, Blue Corn Lager, and Ghost Stout. I wish we could have stayed for the band, but we had fun with some good drinks. This is a great place to take guests for drinks and live music. We'll be back to sample more of their beer.

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of Corrales, Casa vieja is a quaint and charming location to grab a drink. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and attentive. Known for their wine menu they also have a nice section of coctails and beer.

Yelp
Sadly I cannot recommend this business. I wish we had had better service there but it was disappointing. I do not usually post anything but did talk to manager of my concern and they were really not addressed.

Yelp
This is a very quaint brewery and is definitely a must visit. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good craft beer. I wish they were open earlier during the week and on Sunday. However, I do understand that they may be short on staffing.

Yelp
First off let's just say a rainbow sherbet IPA had me all in when I walked into this brewery. But Will assistant brew master changed my mind with the ghost stout... that's delicious creamy vanilla flavor I was all in! I can't wait to go back!!! Wendy was rocking it at the mixed drink station! Ten out of ten. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Oh Casa Vieja, how we love you and your brews! As more recent procures of the title "Corraleños" (within the last couple of years) we have fallen in love with all things in our little village, but especially Casa Vieja. We aren't lovers of IPA's, as many New Mexicans are, so to our very pleasant surprise, this brewery has SO MANY AMAZING non-IPA's to choose from (and yes, a few high IBU-ers for you IPA drinkers). Our favorites: Gold Medal Hefe, Blue Corn Cream Ale, and the Duke's Red Ale. Recently they added an Irish Stout on a nitro tap and oh. em. gee, one of the best we've ever had. Gary, the brewer and co-owner, knows his stuff. Seriously. We love the ambiance of this brewery and event center. The owners and their staff are just wonderful people. We enjoy bringing our board games, grabbing a brew and some great food from the myriad of trucks that frequent CVB, and relaxing. We've met really great locals and visitors here, it's a lot of fun! If you want to support a phenomenal local business with some of the very best, and I mean THE very best beers, just come over to Casa Vieja. Gary, Linda, and Maria also host a number of fun events throughout the year: live music, dinners, haunted trolley tours, speakers... sign up for their emails and check social media! Limited hours to make the heart grow fonder!

Yelp
This review is based on a first-time visit for three people. It was a Sunday afternoon we got there around 3:00 p.m. . Place was pretty empty. They had a food truck on the promises since they do not serve food. We learned that there was live music at 5:00 p.m. so we actually decided to leave and come back. When we returned right around 6:00 p.m. the patio was very crowded. The musician was playing and the vibe was very chill. They have a nice wine selection from local vineyards. They have a nice selection of beers as well. All in all it was a very nice afternoon.

Yelp
I absolutely love thIs little gem. I use the term "little" loosely. The space is huge. There are multiple indoor and outdoor areas but it still manages to feel quaint and intimate. Their beer is brewed on property and they have a pretty sizable variety of local wine. I really liked their Doppelbock. It was smooth and delicious. The color was rich and beautiful and was a great complement to the mild but well-bodied flavor. My husband had the Hoppy Birthday IPA and also enjoyed it. Here's where it gets really weird...he liked that IPA so much that he gave other beers on their list a shot. He VERY RARELY ventures out of IPA world. He was so blown away by the quality of the brew that he wanted to actually taste the others. He ended up with the Ghost Stout. It was also a beautiful color and tasted amazing!! The folks there were so genuine and welcoming and weren't overbearing. It felt natural and comfortable. The grounds and structure were gorgeous. When you're thinking of heading to enjoy a brew in Corrales you absolutely MUST give this place a shot. You can bring your own food as well. Come support a small family-run brewery.

Yelp
We had a great time! Beautiful patio, decent service, food truck available to order food! Live music by New Mexico State Historian Rob Martínez! There was a double rainbow last night. They wild get 5 stars if they served water to our tables! Only video. No photos.

Yelp
Great place to enjoy a hot summer evening drinking wine and beer with friends and family. Music is good most of the time. You are able to order food from village pizza and they also provide a food truck.

Yelp
This brewery is great! The beer, staff, and total atmosphere are perfect for a relaxing time. Every day there is live music and a local food truck with great food options. The Ghost IPA is light and has really great flavor. Every time I am in Corrales I make an effort to enjoy this exceptional brewery.

Yelp
I absolutely love this brewery! I had such a lovely time here with family last Friday. Maria the owner took wonderful care of us. We were seated in a cozy private room while we waited for a table to open up outside. We could have happily spent the night in there with our outstanding server Justin but we also wanted to enjoy the singer songwriter on the patio. The music was a fantastic treat and our server outside was equally as friendly and attentive. This brewery is such a gem. The ghost stout is my absolute favorite. A delicious, creamy, refreshing take on a stout. I love dark beers and appreciated so many wonderful options This is The place to enjoy a beverage al fresco this spring.
