Casa Vincke Hotel (Palamós, Catalonia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Take a glamorous Art Nouveau–style mansion near the beach. Add in an elegant reading room with a marble fireplace, a generous breakfast spread with locally made jams, and a swimming pool bordered by a green lawn — the kind that invites you to kick off your shoes and sip sangria, barefoot in the grass — and you have the perfect equation for a memorable escape on the Costa Brava. The boutique hotel Casa Vincke, housed in a landmark that was once the home of a prosperous 19th-century industrialist, is a block inland from the waterfront promenade in Palamós. Stained glass windows illuminate the grand staircase that leads up to light-filled rooms with parquet floors, decorative cornices, antique chandeliers, and a sophisticated palette of white, olive green, navy blue, and mustard yellow." - Tablet Hotels

Stayed for 7-nights and used as a base to explore the region. Hotel is lovely with great staff who really look after you. There is a swimming pool, beautiful grounds and a Michelin starred restaurant onsite. The breakfasts are really good with options including continental, and freshly cooked to order eggs of your choice. The rooms are comfy with a great shower and products. The hotel is a restored mansion and is very nice with care taken to retain the original features of the building. |The lady who does the breakfast is lovely and takes time to chat with guests, she prepared an early breakfast for my wife and I due to very early departure which was most appreciated.

Fantastic hotel with excellent customer service - really helpful too. Excellent location in a secluded walled garden, although we didn't use the pool or sit in the garden as we stayed in January. Would thoroughly recommend.

The building is truly stunning with a fascinating history reflected in its beautiful architecture and interior design. The room I stayed in was a perfect size with a large bed and bathroom. Facilities looked lovely although because the hotel is less than a minute walk from the beach and ~5min walk from the old port of Palamós I didn’t end up using the pool or restaurant. Isabella (the kind and helpful lady at reception) was always available to give any advice or help whenever we asked and was very welcoming. I would seriously recommend to anyone looking to enjoy some time in Palamós.

My wife and I know Palamos well from previous stays at the Hotels Trias and Vostra Llar, but what a disappointment Casa Vincke turned out to be.|Firstly the good points, freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast, fast/free wifi, big , comfy bed, good rain shower, quiet lounge|But then having paid €229 for a junior suite|1. Bedroom size OK but the suite also comprised a tiny adjacent room with one hard chair that previously had been a dressing room/closet - impossible to use.|2. No Tea/coffee making facilities in the room|3. Only Spanish TV, no international channels and no link to Netflix or Amazon Prime|4. The standard Continental fare comprised packets of cereals, croissant plus one pastry, a little fruit and a meagre offering of two types of ham. Bread choice abysmal|5. No car park, a situation made worse by the recent decision by the Authorities to introduce pay for street parking, the hotel is in the red zone, the most expensive; and no public car parks within easy reach.|6. Apart from breakfast no staff on duty - a honesty bar with a selection of 5 brands of spirits , the basic labels.||For our Anniversary a very bad choice , and for the cost , extortionate

We visited end on August for a one on one mother and daughter weekend, it is a beautiful Casa, only nine rooms managed by a very sweet and welcoming lady. We arrived in the afternoon, no reception to check in but we had a code to enter the main gate, then the key was left in a small box related to our room number (we received the information when we reserved) .|Next day we met the lady during breakfast, which was just right offered a good variety.|They have a basket that holds beach mats, umbrellas hats etc that you can borrow for free to access the beach which was just a street away. |In the afternoon they offer a lot of goods which you just sign in a book for anything you take and pay for it at check out.|We were offered a place to shower and change after we checked out since we wanted to spend the whole day there.|It is a perfect classy place, would love to go back.

Casa Vincke is a delightful experience. This former mansion has hit the perfect balance between old and new. It has nine beautifully decorated rooms with a fantastic modern bathroom and luxurious shower. The bed was one of the largest we have ever seen in Europe. The breakfast (included) was very nice. Isabel, the hotel manager and cook was amazingly kind and helpful.

We stayed at Casa Vincke for 3 nights at the end of July. Good value for money. Peaceful garden with a lovely pool. Beautifully renovated rooms with a spacious modern bathroom. We loved our little balcony. Very quiet at night. ||You are left to your own devices (which we prefer). Parking a bit painful as 2 blocks away but understandable considering the property. ||The brekkie deserves a special mention. Great homemade pastries and fresh breads. Delicious cheeses and cold meats. Really fabulous. Drinks are self serve on an honour system. WiFi worked well. There is an elevator which is great to get suitcases up to the third floor.

Really nice traditional hotel. Rooms are clean and bright, although some are NOT very sound proof so ask for a room that is ! I have stayed there a few times and once it was quite noisy in the room from the neighbour. Food lovely and large lovely restaurant. Daily menu specials - fab place to eat, especially for a special occasion. Lovely outside smaller area to dine in the summer. AND beach restaurant.
