Casa Vita

I came here because of nice opinions, but to be honest, it was very disappointing. The food was... strange. I ordered pizza, gnocchi, bruschetta and pasta with shrimps. Pizza was very thin and hard with tones of onion. Gnocchi was tasteless and pumpkin mousse had hard elements. Bruschetta had a thick piece of mozzarella which dominated the whole dish. Only pasta was good. Descriptions of the dishes in the menu were definitely better than the actual tastes. On the other hand, interior was cosy and friendly.

We arrived there with no reservation, and the place was crowded, but the staff was really kind and found a table for us. The restaurant is bigger than it looks, and is very cozy. Great for romantic dinners but also fit for groups as it has big tables too. I was a bit disappointed with the pasta options (only two, basically) so for a Italian restaurant I was expecting more. At the end I decided for a pizza serano and it was very tasty! The price could be a bit lower though.

We visited Wernigerode on a Wednesday and the city was buzzing with life. The Rathausplatz is packed with restaurants, but we wanted a different experience. So we searched for, and found, a cool little restaurant Casa Vita. Entering from the street, is a stone cobbled walkway where you can sit and eat, there entire place is full of atmosphere, green trees, bushes and a water bassin with fish. Food is very good and the prices are very reasonable, especially compared to the selections and prices just 2 minutes around the corner at the Rathausplatz. We dined, 2 adults and 2 kids, for roughly ~ €55. Nice and friendly staff, will recommend.

The ravioli dish was kinda disappointing; the flavors were pretty bland, three of us ordered the same dish and we had to add a bunch of salt to make it taste like something. Nice atmosphere tho

Stunning ambience inside. Lovely lighting and indoor trees, it feels like you stepped on to a little Italian street. Pizza was great too and the staff are friendly.

The place looks amazing. The food was too little . Tabula Salat came from the fridge (I could feel the ice rests)

Went in just because it catered for food allergies. Ended up having a fabulous meal. Would highly recommend the food, wine, ambience and menu choices for anyone with food intolerance - or without!

Great atmosphere, vegan food and friendly staff. From the outside it's a bit hidden but definitely worth to go inside :P
