Really impressed with my experience at Casa Viva. I am bikepacking the Baja Divide and was famished; ate a huge salad and medium pizza (basically 2 meals) for a bit less than 500 pesos. Very hip, but classy establishment. Staff play vinyl (jazz when I was there). Food was excellent quality and good portions. Nice ambience, and quality service. Seemed like a popular date spot. Unfortunately my (Canadian) credit card didn't offer an option to tip, because I wanted to tip generously and having just arrived in Mexico, I didn't have $$ and the language barrier didn't help :s. 5/5 - highly recommended.

What a great surprise! We’re new to the area and wanted some Italian food. We ordered a hummus appetizer and the waiter accidentally brought us a pasta dish. It was night time and we were on the patio with only light from the heat lamp so we thought the hummus looked strange but we tasted it and WOW! It was their Taggliatera pasta with lamb bolognese. They said we could have their mistake on the house. Then the hummus came. Very homemade with crispy chickpeas on top and beautiful homemade warm pita. My husband had a skirt steak sandwich with chimmichurri that came with hand cut fries and I got a Caesar salad. My husband loved his sandwich! The salad was OK. Would have liked the Caesar dressing to be a bit more flavorful but with all the other food it didn’t matter. Recommend! We’ll try the pizza next visit and more of that fabulous pasta! Oh, and service was spot on.

Super nice, everything was delicious and at a very affordable price. Highly recommended even considering the long drive to Santa Anita.

Love the pizza and coffee. 1 in pizza place for the locals.

Great service. Even though the menu is a little short, the food is excellent. Mixology and local beer selection is also good. If I had to recommend something, a touch of Italy in the decorations is missing but maybe I am being a little too picky.
