Really impressed with my experience at Casa Viva. I am bikepacking the Baja Divide and was famished; ate a huge salad and medium pizza (basically 2 meals) for a bit less than 500 pesos.
Very hip, but classy establishment. Staff play vinyl (jazz when I was there). Food was excellent quality and good portions. Nice ambience, and quality service. Seemed like a popular date spot.
Unfortunately my (Canadian) credit card didn't offer an option to tip, because I wanted to tip generously and having just arrived in Mexico, I didn't have $$ and the language barrier didn't help :s.
5/5 - highly recommended.
