Casa Zuniga Bed and Breakfast | Retreats & Spa in Guanajuato

Staying at Casa Zuniga was an excellent choice. We had a nice large room with comfortable beds, the breakfasts were wonderful, the view from the balcony overlooking the old city is beautiful, and the hosts are friendly and helpful. It’s beside the funicular but we (in our 60s) found we didn’t need it. We went up and down the callejon (narrow pedestrian street/stairs) in under 10 minutes. On the way up you can take a break, catch your breath and admire the view!

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at Casa Zuniga. Billy & Ari are great hosts, and they made us feel welcome like family. We also loved waking up to see what's for breakfast because Ari is a such a great cook! There is easy access from the BnB to centro via the stairs and easy to go back up via the funicular or taxi/uber. We felt very safe and comfortable even when we got back late at night. We loved Guanajuato and we will definitely stay at Casa Zuniga again when we go back.

Book it! Casa Zuniga is a treasure. Clean and comfortable we couldn’t have been happier staying anywhere else in Guanajuato. The owners, Billy and Ari, are friendly, helpful, and exceptional humans to boot. They went over and above to ensure we were happy, comfortable, and well-fed every day. They both gave us perfect suggestions for daily activities and even assisted us with the rest of our travels through the area. We will be back.

We loved our stay at Casa Zuniga. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. Casa Zuniga is family-owned and managed with care, love, and attention to detail. Ari and Billy are incredible hosts and are so helpful in advising places to go, eat, and explore. They even recommended a driving service to help us get to their place and back to the airport. The house is lovingly built and cared for, evident in the beautiful furnishings, textiles, plants, and handcrafted artwork and decor. The views from the rooms and the terrace of the colorful city built on the hillside are outstanding. We walked down the path each morning to tour the city, and rode the funicular back up the hill, which stops at the top of the stairs to Casa Zuniga. It's lovely to hear the church bells ringing, the roosters crowing, and the dogs barking in chorus. Don't miss the sunset from the terrace, when the city glows a gorgeous pink color.

Casa Zuniga is a great Bed & Breakfast conveniently located near the Monumento Pipila, which is on one of the highest points overlooking Guanajuato. It has several features that make this place perfect for first time visitors seeking to find a place that is easy to get to, like an easy taxi drop off point, it's a few steps away from the Funicular, the tram  takes you down to Guanajuato Central and up again. Casa Zuniga gives you a 7 ride card, which is a nice touch.  There are steps on the side of the B&B to go into town in less than 5 min.   The rooms are clean and the host provides double filtered water,  daily room service and heat if it gets cold.  Most of the rooms have  amazing views of Guanajuato, and a few rooms have a balcony to sit outside, and catch some sun rays outside.  I really enjoyed the sounds of the city from that vantage point.  You can hear the "life" of the city without being  right in it all the time.  Casa Zuniga also has a few living rooms and a long dining table where you get to meet the other guest at the hotel.

This is the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. The service and hospitality are unmatched. Thank you for such a memorable stay! Billy and his wife are the best host owners! We will be back!!!

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Guanajuato City. Ari and Billy were the perfect hosts and provided us with the history of Guanajuato before we did a walking tour. Ari made the most delicious breakfast each morning (Homemade with fruit and juice)! The rooms were great with comfortable beds and all of the necessities that we needed. If you are planning of visiting Guanajuato City, look no further! Casa Zuniga was not just a place to stay but an experience. We hope to go back one day!

This place is gorgeous! My husband and I loved it and so sad we only stayed for one night. We definitely want to come back and stay longer. Guanajuato is a beautiful city and the view from this place lets you see all of it. We specifically were looking to stay somewhere near downtown but quiet enough to sleep at night, and this was perfect. The whole estate is beautifully decorated and there is murals and art everywhere that explains the history of this city. Billy was so fun and made us feel very welcome. The hosts also helped us find a ride from the airport and were so accommodating and willing to support. We're definitely coming back!
