We had a wonderful time in Sayulita at the lovely Casablanca hotel. The staff was very welcoming and always so helpful. We had to extend our travel by one day because of bad weather back home and thankfully our room was available for one more night. We did not need to rent the golf cart because everything we needed was within walking distance. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a view of the beach and the construction site next door. There were a few times during the weekend when the beach club next door kept us from sleeping and the noise from the water pipes sounded like machine guns firing but it only lasted for about an hour each time. The beach was right there and we loved that. The other guests we met were lovely and the central pool was nice and warm.

We loved our stay at Casablanca Sayulita! The rooms were clean, the staff super friendly/helpful, and the pleasant surprise was a functional kitchen with all the necessities. We loved the location (easy access to the beach...complete with lounge chairs!), as well as the overall location in town with easy access to coffee shops, yoga, and some great restaurants. We only were there for four nights for a wedding, but hopefully can come back for a longer stay soon!

We had a great experience. We traveled to Sayulita in February. The suite was beautiful and clean, same with the hotel grounds. North Beach is right there - as are a couple beach bars! Everyone at the front desk/gate was helpful. The pool was maybe a little murky a couple of the days. I would definitely visit again, and I would recommend it to my own family and friends.

We were very happy with the accommodations at Casablanca. The room was things dreams are made of. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The terraza was just what we needed for a relaxing afternoon. Check in was easy, just be sure to have cash on hand for the deposit that was returned at check out. The receptionist was very nice. She helped us with getting a Golf Cart rental and had found someone to help my wife with her makeup and hair for a wedding we were attending. I would defiantly stay there again if we return to Sayulita.

*** MAJOR CONSTRUCTION *** Be aware, there is major construction next door. From 8:30am to 6:00pm we heard a generator running nonstop, in addition to major construction noise (eg, a big machine pounding piles into the ground). We were pretty much unable to use our room during the daytime, which was a shame because the room is cute, the location is great and the staff is friendly. It's kind of a waste booking a room like this and not being able to use it during the day. If there were no construction this place would be fantastic. But I felt a bit cheated, given they did not disclose the fact that I would hear a lot of noise. When I complained they told me the construction had been going on for 6 weeks and they would make no effort to give me any sort of satisfaction. Basically, too bad for me. I go to Sayulita often, so I know it's not necessarily a quiet place. But I feel they should disclose this construction issue, given it ruined a decent chunk of my stay there. Or at least make some effort to make it right...rather than just tell me to go pound sand.

Great spot away from the hustle and bustle of Sayulita. Close to many eating and watering holes. Easy access to the beach within 60 seconds. The vibe is very Santorini like with white and blue aesthetic. Pool is small but nice and quiet. The hot tub does not have hot water so it is just a tub.

Lots of life is about expectations. I think from the photos and description mine was much higher than delivered. Unfortunately, the lot to the north is being developed. There was loud construction sounds and a generator running most nights. If your room is on the south side the ocean will ground it out. But it’s a constant din when in the pool. The other downside not well explained is that the beautiful pool in the photos is only for the front unit. The pool in between without a view of the beach is the available one. Again, unfortunately that and the rooftop pool (not a hot tub) are beautiful but hurt but affected the noise.

I would love to give Casablanca a 5 star rating; they deserve it. The problem I had with my stay was the kids. There were a bunch of rugrats running around during the 4 days I was there, maybe 10 of them. First of all, the family they were with had their own villa (the one closest to the beach). This villa comes with its own pool, which I was unaware we didn’t have access to. You’d think that would be enough for them but they wanted to access the main pool that everyone else uses. Fine, why not. But they were everywhere! We tried going up to the hot tub on the property roof and they were up there, too. Then we get woken up at 2am to kids running around screaming bloody murder. Aside from the kids, the staff was very helpful and the property was beautiful.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying at the Casablanca Sayulita Hotel last week and the entire experience, from beginning to end, did not disappoint. I came here with a large group (renting out most of the space), so we basically had the entire place to ourselves. That means access to 2 huge pools - one more private and one overlooking the water, the main kitchen area with a large outdoor dining/activity space, the beach on our doorsteps (chairs included), and beautiful rooms - each of which had not 1 but 2 balconies overlooking either the water or the trees. Each room also had a large bathroom, sizable kitchen area with plates, cutlery, and a coffee machine, and a living area. Pretty good for the price we paid. On the property there were tons of showers and faucets to get the sand off which was much needed since we spent a lot of time doing beach or pool activities. The hotel staff was so sweet and really made us feel safe and at home. Nelson walked around the grounds and always asked if we needed help, both day AND night. Talk about wonderful service. We ate a few meals in town, which is walking distance from the property. During the day, we walked along the beach. At night, we opted to walk through the neighborhood (we had a big group, but use your own discretion since some parts are not very well lit). Either way, it's about a 10 minute walk or 5 minute golf cart ride (you can rent one here if you'd like). If you're coming from PVR airport, an Uber ride will set you back about $40 USD, which is pretty good considering the ride itself is about 40 minutes without traffic. You can also rent a cab through the hotel but that's a bit more expensive - probably about $10 or $20 extra. Still worth it, I think. The rooms and property were pretty spotless, but we had a few instances of critters getting in, so just be mindful about leaving your windows and doors open. Everyone on the property speaks English so don't fret if you don't speak Spanish. When you check in, they'll place a $50 USD charge on your card for a beach towel (I guess people have stolen them in the past). When you check out, just hand in your towel and room key and the money will be refunded to your credit card. We really had a wonderful stay. I can't say enough good things about Casablanca Sayulita.

Yelp
Safe, secure, friendly, easy access to town and on the beach. Pricing was very good as well. The hostess was great. The rooms are nice. We had to walk out patios. Both pools are also nice too. Downtown is maybe a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel is on the beach.

Yelp
I would love to give them a higher rating because there are so many things that I love about the hotel...but they had horrible internet. We often had NO service in our room. They tried to make it better, which was nice, but ultimately their solution was for us to come down to the front desk area to use the internet. We actually did that to take our online Covid-19 test, but still lost internet 2 times and lost one of the test completely because of the broken connection and almost lost another one. The rooms are clean and nice. Air conditioning only in the bedroom but in February that was fine. Heated pool and hot tub on the roof was nice too. The location on the beach can't be beat. Far enough out of town to be away from the crowded beach, but close enough to walk to anything.

Yelp
Clean and spacious rooms with easy access to pools and beach. Friendly efficient staff added to the very pleasant stay. Love the quick walk to town and the private beach. Better surf is just down the way.
