We loved Casamar so much we decided to extend our stay by one day. The rooms were great, the pool was beautiful, the restaurant was good, and the location is excellent! The beach is moments away, they have daily yoga classes and daily water aerobics. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

This is a truly special place that I was able to enjoy for a little bit, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming, topped with beautiful vegetation and service that feels like home. I was able to enjoy their AquaGym classes which were a fun low-impact workout, and their Meet & Greet dinner, which is a must to get to know other travelers and friends of the hotel. Will be back for sure ✨

This is a truly lovely hotel that manages to feel intimate while offering excellent infrastructure. The standout features for me were the charming gardens and the delightful pool. The pool, approximately 18 meters in length, is also very suitable for swimming. The garden provides plenty of relaxation options, including sun beds and tables, with ample shade—a must in the hot climate of Puerto Escondido. Birdwatchers will also appreciate the variety of birds that can be observed in the gardens. I stayed in one of their smallest and most economical studios, which was perfect for a solo traveler. Unfortunately, it was only available for two nights—I wish I could have stayed longer. Most of their accommodations are larger and uniquely designed. The built-in kitchens are really well-equipped and truly suitable for cooking, a feature that many other hotels with so-called "kitchenettes" could learn from. The hotel offers a range of included activities, such as free morning yoga, aqua fitness, and occasional gatherings. Complimentary morning coffee and abundant drinking water are available throughout the property. The on-site restaurant is ideal for breakfast and offers very fair prices, especially considering the lovely setting. My room was very comfortable, featuring both a good fan and air conditioning, a cozy balcony, and a comfortable bed. I slept very well, and for Mexican standards, it was quite quiet at night. There were some very minor maintenance issues, but nothing significant. While prices might appear to be on the higher side, the additional benefits like yoga make it absolutely worth it if you use them. As a neutral observation, it's worth noting that most guests here appear to be retired Canadians or Americans who visit frequently and stay for extended periods, along with the occasional family or couple. Additionally, the hotel is very pet-friendly, which some guests will appreciate, while others might find it less appealing. The property appears to be entirely smoke-free (incl. outdoor areas), which I personally appreciated, though it might come as a surprise to others. The staff was exceptionally friendly and genuinely cares about their guests. Location is a 3 min walk away from the beach and close to many restaurants.

Casamar was a really lovely property. It had a private entrance and it was quiet and well kept. The room was small, but I knew that beforehand so not really an issue since we were out most of the time. My husband appreciated the AC. I liked the mini kitchen and I was able to make my own hot tea daily. The shower water got hot which I liked. The pool area is clean and relaxing. Had breakfast and it was really yummy. I enjoyed that it felt like a casista and the grounds felt more like home than a hotel. The greenery and open space allows you to go in and out and not feel like you're cooped up in your room if you aren't out. Was close to the main street with all the cool bars and stores and wonderful restaurants. Beach was walking distance. I would have liked the rooms to have a blow dryer and a full length mirror.

This is such a great little hotel I wish we could visit every year. It's small enough that it's pretty quiet and the pool in the courtyard is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food and drinks from the small restaurant are all great! Highly recommend.

Really lovely hidden gem in Puerto Escondido. The hotel is in a perfect location, right next to the beach and close enough to the main attractions in La Punta without being right on the main noisier strip. The rooms are lovely for the area and it feels super secure.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I just finished a 10 night stay, and it was my third time there. They have put so much though and care in to the property, rooms, and the small details that really make a difference. They offer free daily Yoga which is fantastic, some water aerobics classes, and have a great onsite restaurant. I barely even left the property. I was also able to cook almost nightly in my room, and found the kitchen to be fully equipped. I could have lived here! I would say, this is a place for people that want to relax and have some quiet - certainly not a place for late night partying or noise. There are many, many other hotels and areas suited for that. So if you and your 11 idiot friends are coming to Puerto to party - Zicatela is a better area for that. The only thing I do want to call out is, if you are planning on working remote there - the wifi is painfully slow to the point of basically being unusable. Of course, there are 1000 options with Starlink all around the place, so really no issue - just a call out. Can't wait to go back!
