Casanova di Neri Relais

It is a winery accommodation renowned for its wine. We visited for our honeymoon, and both the relais and the winery had staff who provided professional hospitality. The wine dinner program connected with our stay at the relais was a truly enchanting experience. In particular, Simona’s wine dinner was an exceptionally special experience. We hope to visit again someday.

Casanova do Neri wines are among my favorite. To visit the winery was very special. Wonderful host wonderful wines. We shipped home some of the 2019 Brunellos.

We stayed in the apartment Cetine and found it very comfortable, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The setting is idyllic and the Wine Experience Dinner was very special. It is close to Montalcino and Pienza and was a perfect place to stay for day trips in the region. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We had a fixed menu lunch and wine tasting for our group at this winery on a weekday. We had a little trouble finding the restaurant so we were a little late. The two ladies who were our waiters were so nice and accommodating. We had a great experience at lunch. The setting inside the Relais restaurant was beautiful. The food was delicious. Reservations, payment, and a fixed menu were required. We had three options of guinea fowl, chicken, or beef. We finished up with coffee.

Fantastic hotel overlooking Montalcino. Apart from having their own winery, Casanova’s hotel is spectacular. The service food quality and their attention to detail was incredible. Leticia was fantastic!! Very close to Montalcino without having to compromise on space. Some of the recent reviews are very unjust and completely different to our experience. Like any other hotel in the area, a car is needed to properly enjoy Tuscany… there are countless of travelling forums that state this and blaming the hotel for lack of planning or basic awareness is silly. The service in the hotel was top notch, friendly, and hospitable. We will be coming back!

****READ IF TRAVELING WITH NO CAR***** I’ll start by saying the property has nice views and the rooms are clean. It’s very misleading though. Although it’s only a 5 minute drive to Montalcino once you get there expect to be stranded. You CANNOT walk to town. The road isn’t safe for walking and there is no trail. The restaurant is not open in for dinner and they do not even give you water daily. There are several staff members who could easily shuttle you to town even on their schedule for a fee but that’s not an option. Instead you are charged exorbitant fees (50 to 75€ one way for the 5 minute ride)!!!!! In 3 days they managed to charge us almost 500€ to pick us up from train station (10 minute ride) and back and forth to town. It was outrageous! In all my travels to Italy I’ve never had an experience where they were so unhelpful. Even the wine tasting was very poor. We had to change some of our plans to compensate for the ridiculous charges and when I ask the concierge what people did for dinner or how they managed, he just shrugged his shoulders. NEVER AGAIN! Spend your money somewhere else. Too many nice people in this wonderful country to deal with being taken advantage of

We had an amazing stay at CDN and I highly recommend a stay here! There are some negative reviews here related to services at this “hotel.” First of all, I would not consider this a hotel. It is more like an Inn at a beautiful winery, not a full service hotel. If you know this going in, then you will probably love this place. If you show up here without a car and expect full service hotel amenities like bellmen, shuttle or taxi service, restaurant open for 3 meals a day, you will be disappointed, because that is not what they do. What they do is provide an amazingly relaxing and beautiful environment with incredible staff.

This is such a beautiful place to stay. The hospitality is wonderful, the rooms are perfection and the wine is legendary. We stayed 5 nights and appreciated the location, so close to Montacilno and there is such a pretty view on the hilltop city from the property. The breakfasts and dinner were a treat. Highly recommend staying here while enjoying a trip to Tuscan wine country!
