Lovely peaceful place to stay, especially welcome after the madness of the Alhambra. Guadix is not far away and worth a look. The kids loved the pool, I liked the coolness inside the cave. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely experience, and highly recommend! We stayed here for one night while traveling around Andalusia and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire trip. The man running the hotel was very friendly and helpful; he gave us a map of Guadix and circled the best restaurants and pointed out the supermarkets nearby. The cave was cozy and interesting. We grilled on the barbecue outside and watched the sun set over the gorgeous valley. It was a bit chilly inside in the evening, but the small fireplace warmed up the cave quickly and we were very comfortable all night. The only negatives were that the pool was not open the day we were there and the WiFi stopped working in the late afternoon.

By happy accident we found La Tala and loved being here so much on the first day we knew we had to extend our stay. Who knew cave living was so relaxing and restorative? Located in the vast Granada Geopark, this place was just what we needed: remote, quiet nature, fireplace, warm bath, deep comfortable beds, kitchen, laid-back simple elegant accomodations — with an exceptionally hospitable host Ramon.
