We stayed at Casas da Alta for two days with my grandfather and we were completely satisfied. Apartments look very very nice, they're fully equipped. The stuff of the hotel is incredibly nice and very helpful. We were explaining everything we needed to know about Coimbra and we were helped with out heavy luggages as well. Wifi worked great. Breakfast was served to our room at the time we ordered. It was tasty and there were |quite enough options.|We were very satisfied and i fully recommend this place.

Excellent communication from the host. We were able to park for free across the street. The two bedroom apartment was pristine and larger than expected. We loved the large bathrooms, bedrooms living room and kitchen. There was even a garden right outside of the balcony door. The location was excellent- only a downhill walk to town. Walking back was not a problem and was much appreciated after enjoying a large dinner. |We had a problem the first night with renters upstairs stomping and making so much noise. But Mafalda our host called them and the noise stopped promptly. |Definitely a great place to stay for even an extended stay in Coimbra.

We loved this apartment! Luisa our host welcomed us with a smile, a map of the city and some very useful information about the city, places to see and things to do. More importantly, we were informed of the best and easiest routes to get around the city using public transport. The welcoming glass of Port and delicious Pasteis de Nata was a lovely spoil. The local bus stop is only about 100m from the entrance to the apartment. The photographs of the apartment are a true representation of what is offered. Modern, good quality appliances, quality cutlery and crockery, and a Krupps pod coffee machine is an added bonus. Services rooms with white towels and linen, fully air-conditioned apartment and lovely natural light and flow. We stayed in the apartment on the top floor with the private roof top terrace which allowed us to enjoy lovely elevated views of the city and a perfect spot of a cup of coffee in the morning or a night cap at sunset or at night.

A very warm welcome from the Receptionist on arrival who also took her time to explain about Coimbra's tourist attractions and had also marked out a map with restaurant and fado recommendations. When we booked our apartment we asked for the rooftop terrace (room 2B) which is up 2 flights of stairs. You also get a "Harry Potter" key for your room. We had a large one bed apartment and there is also a sofa bed in the lounge. Roof terrace was up a flight of stairs with amazing views of Coimbra where had our arrival pastel da nata and port. Apartment is very clean and modern. The only slight let down was the grouting in the shower and the sink which was black in places and needs redoing. Apartment about a 15 minute walk downhill and steep walk back up or the number 4 bus. Bus stops just a minute away from the apartment. Supermarket and bars only 5 minutes away if you don't want to go into the centre and also avoids the hills. Great value apartment.

We stayed in the apartment for a couple of nights in September while on a tour of Portugal. Very pleasant large apartment in a quiet area. The bedroom is insulated from the living room and a large balcony allow for an outdoor extension of the living room and for superb views of the city. Centrally located, this quiet apartment is comfortable and spacious. Parking on the street was not a problem. The apartment is well maintained, attractively decorated, clean, and fully equipped with all the necessary appliances. Booking and communication with the owner were straightforward, and prompt. ||We definitely recommend this apartment for a few nights or for a longer stay.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful, spacious and well appointed apartment. Our only regret was the brevity of our stay. Mafalda and Hugo went to a great deal of trouble to make us comfortable. We can back in the evening after our day in Coimbra to find port wine poured for us, pastels de nata on the table and bottled water (gratis) in the kitchen. Mafaldo gave us detailed instructions on what to see and do, including a remarkable fado concert in town, only 10 euros. We couldn't have had better hospitality, and were very sorry not to have more time to enjoy the beauty of the apartment and location. Oh, and we enjoyed an enormous breakfast in the garden which we asked for at the last minute and were accommodated with gracious accommodation.

We traveled all around Portugal and this apartment really stood out to us! Matalda was a phenomenal host! She let us check-in earlier than we planned, gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and even left us a treat when we got back to the property after a long day of exploring. It really made our trip even more special by staying here! Thank you for the great memories!!!

Big flat, good and simple breakfast. Excellent staff. Cozy environment. Easy parking outside the building and free. it's on a hilltop different from the University, which makes it hard to walk there. Only the toilet was a bit small.
