We had a great time at Casa Valdes. It has a wide menu featuring a variety of seafood and comes with English menu. We enjoyed the Clams, Txipirones, Crab Chupe and Conger Eel Broth. Oysters were alright in comparison. Seafood quality was good and fresh. The lead male waiter was patient & helpful in explaining & recommending the dishes to us. However, there was one waitress who had a visibly poor attitude when serving the dishes and setting the cutlery. Despite that, we had a great experience overall and would recommend this restaurant.

Very good seafood restaurant. The reineta and hake dishes for the mains were both excellent. Wasn’t a huge fan of the clams for a starter - weren’t improved by the cheese. Would have rather just had the clams on their own or in a vinaigrette. The potatoes as a side dish - like patatas bravos were underdone. Desserts were excellent though. So mostly good but some room for improvement, considering price point.

I think this restaurant is overrated Food overall just alright. Nothing really wow us. Portion for appetizer is really small for big price. Service was good.

Casa Valdes is one of the best seafood restaurants I’ve been to. All the dishes were phenomenal, and full of flavour as well as the beautiful presentation. Seafood risotto was the star of the experience. And the tres leches cake was a wonderful end to the meal. Service was lovely for a lunch on a Sunday, with a beautiful view over the lake and if you’re lucky volcanoes.

The service was good and the interior is nice. The food looks good but tasted alright, we expected a little more for the price.

One of the best seafood I ever had. Oysters, clams and abalones as starters were amazing. Piquillo Peppers were great as well. With great selection of wines I can't write any negative word.

CasaValdés enjoys one of the nicest locations in Puerto Varas – right by the lake, quietly tucked away, with a lovely and relaxed atmosphere (reservation strongly recommended). From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and looked after with friendly, attentive service. We started with cocktails, which were excellent – well-balanced, nicely presented, and balanced, and honestly a little too easy to enjoy. For starters, we had fresh oysters served simply with lime – classic and refreshing. My main course, the grilled octopus, was tender and full of flavor, beautifully done without being overcomplicated. It’s also nice to see there’s a vegetarian option (Chick Pea) – perfect for anyone at the table who isn’t quite as fond of fish. Dessert was a Tres Leches Cake – tasty, though not quite as refined as the other courses, yet it brought back those early, almost childlike memories of simple sweets from long ago. All in all, CasaValdés offers very good food, excellent drinks, and a calm, charming setting. A place well worth visiting when in Puerto Varas.

This is my second visit here in 3 days!! The food here is super delicious! I came here with 5 other friend I’m am travelling with and they were more than happy to return. I love their warm home made bread which we kept asking for more. Perfect for dipping. I have the shrimps for starts on both my visits as they were to die for!! My travelling companions had numerous cerviches. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfect and I had the seafood risotto on my second visit. Nice. It a little too creamy for me. Awesome coffee too!
