The reason why I did not review Cascada Verde despite having visited several times is that I did not know where to start raving. The owners as well as the employees are absolutely welcoming, accommodating, and personally interested in each of their guests. The atmosphere is very warm (literally) and friendly. The big open space kitchen is fun to cook in, the view is calming and stunning at the same time. There is lots to do in the area, nature and adventure based activities, amazing restaurants, jungle and beach flair. There are a multitude of rooms to choose from, budget friendly, family style, whatever you are looking for. Breakfast choices are all delicious and available for a very fair price. Additional services are offered like yoga and massage. Excellent experience all around but the most astonishing thing is the fact that the napkinholders are refilled constantly. Restaurant service in a hostel kitchen - does it get any better than that? Only downside: People who are not researching what they are booking and actually want a different experience (party hostel, luxury lodge…) and then complain about it. Will I go back? Yes - again and again!

The jungle view is great and beds are OK. Workers were extremely hostile and rude to us, didn't let us just hang around for 15 minutes around the hostel after check-out time while waiting for a friend. Also extra services cost way more than what you can find in town. For example laundery cost 6$ per kilo while you can find good laundry service for just 3$ at town.

A great place to stay. It's in the middle of the jungle and you can see monkeys in the trees from the common area. The common area has a fully equipped kitchen, a bunch of relaxing hammocks and games/books. Just be advised that it's in the middle of the jungle so you might see an occasional bug too. Every bed has a mosquito net and rooms are clean though. They offer breakfast in the morning. There's a surcharge for paying with a card so bring some cash if you want to save out. Laundry service is also possible for those who have been traveling for a while.

This hostel offers the real Uvita experience, as it's right in the middle of the jungle. We saw all kinds of animals, as well as monkeys crossing the trees right next to the hostel's balcony (the place to do your daily yoga session). The kitchen is very spacious, with everything you need to cook your meals for the day. The staff were very kind, welcoming and understanding with us even though the place was full. We were also within walking distance of the magnificent Uvita waterfalls for a refreshing dip, where you can also go down a very accessible slide. We can't wait to go back!

Best stay! There is a kitchen and the view is one of the best we had during our trip. I recommend 😊

2 stars instead of none, for the owner having an open attitude towards us, then to be transparent, I have never felt so indirectly discriminated. There are signs prohibiting you from doing so many things, youll feel concerned if youll recieve a fee for coughing too loud. The woman in the reception wearing dread locks, listening to the music (reggae) that obviously promotes what she strictly tells people to not bring into the hostel is also not just confusion and hypocritical, it is dangerous to the spirits she is inviting into her life. It is more so important for the nextcomers to know that this place is a walking karma maze, that reflects every money move that has been covered up as "being of service" in the past, all because they chose to attend more to festival hippies than to locals and true visitors (not just tourists and "yogis"). We did not feel safe here, but judged and tricked into prices then to have them changed and delivered with unclear motivation. This is not a place fit to be a hostel. It does not have a clear intention as to what they are passionate about serving. I suggest you take the reviews from the past into consideration and know that to give you an honest review to your face, you have to be available with compassion and empathy, so it does not turn into an argument. Please consider taking a time out to reflect on what it means to Serve others and How you offer your fellow brothers and sisters a home.

Absolutely love this place!! We extended our stay because of how great it is. Lovely, comfortable and clean rooms. A large communal space to eat, relax and a well furnished kitchen for cooking. Expect to see Capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, hummingbirds and more nature casually around the hotel. You can see the stunning views from a space to relax attached.

Unique place to stay. In the middle of the jungle, yet not far to the city centre. We were shown all available rooms to choose from (which might be an off-season perk but shows how invested the staff is).
