Cascade aux Ecrevisses

To be honest, Cascade aux Écrevisses was a bit of a letdown—it felt like a total tourist trap compared to the authentic spots I’ve been finding. This felt way too "packaged" and underwhelming. It’s right off the main road, so it’s constantly swamped with crowds and tour buses, which completely kills any sense of nature or tranquility. While the waterfall itself is okay, the short, paved walk and the sheer volume of people made it feel more like a roadside attraction than a real hidden gem.

Natural pool under a waterfall. Only a 5 minute walk along a paved trail. Recommended to all who visit Guadeloupe.

Short walk from the parking lot. Very nice little waterfall with crisp refreshing water. Get there early and you may have the place to yourself.

Free parking, short walk, lovely view, nice place to bathe. There is a lovely hidden paradise BEHIND the waterfall.

Worth a stop if you're in the area. Small waterfall with a calm pool in which you can cool off. The path from the carpark is short (200m), flat and paved. There's an official picnic area directly across the road from the car park. The car park is too small for such a popular attraction, but as most people only stay for 10 minutes there is plenty of turnover.

We enjoyed a lot to visit this waterfall because the access is very easy and it's free or charge. The water is cold, but the experience totally worth it. Just enjoy the exotic, luxurious forrest.

We thought we were there early (9.30 on a Sunday morning) but the place was still overwhelmed with bus tour groups! A shame, as the flora are amazing. There is more space and peace on the opposite side of the road (near the picnic area)

Beautiful little waterfall close to the road and the gift shop is awesome! Fun to walk in the river and make Little Rock formations. Gift shop owners could not do foreign credit cards. Only local ones and cash. They were willing to accept American dollars as well.
