Viceroy Bali Review | Hotels Above Par

"For dining with cinematic valley views, Cascades provides all-day Indonesian and European dishes and serves as the resort’s main restaurant where you can enjoy dinner overlooking the gorge; staff can also set up individualized romantic table settings complete with flower petals on request."

I mean I can’t say much else for the price. Expensive by Bali standards, but the normal price of food from the countries tourists usually come from. Came here as a birthday treat, and was given impeccable service as well as a complimentary dessert from the kindness of the staff. All this in addition to being hosted at the lavish resort that is Viceroy. The Ox tail soup is great if you know how to eat from a vertebrae, and pizza was better than expected. Very impressed.

We visited Cascades at Viceroy Bali to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday, following a recommendation from the kind staff member Destri — and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. Everything from the atmosphere to the service and food was spot-on. What stood out the most was the food itself — it let the natural flavors of the ingredients shine, with minimal use of seasoning or artificial enhancers. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared and genuinely nourishing. But what truly elevated the experience was the staff’s impeccable hospitality and emotional attentiveness. Their ability to anticipate and care for guests with such warmth and grace made it clear we were dining at a world-class restaurant. It was honestly surprising to experience this level of quality in both taste and service in Bali — in the best possible way. Cascades is one of those places I’ll remember, and the first I'd recommend to anyone heading to Bali.

A delicious treat located inside a luxury hotel. The ambiance of the environment was lovely and the food tasted delicious. Would recommend if you want a private dinner with your partner!

I had lunch at Cascade Restaurant during my stay at the Viceroy Bali, and it was an unforgettable experience. I tried the Nusantara Delights Indonesian set menu with wine pairing — every course was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The Kuah Be Pasih seafood broth was light yet rich, the Bebek Betutu was incredibly aromatic and tender, and the Klepon dessert was a creative twist on a local favorite. The wine pairings elevated each dish, and the Cascade Passion cocktail was also a standout. The ambiance is stunning — overlooking lush Ubud greenery with soothing water features all around. It’s the perfect setting for a relaxed, elegant meal. Service was warm, attentive, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re looking for refined Indonesian cuisine in a luxurious yet serene setting.

Pak Agung and his team are doing great in Cascades, whether you experience breakfast, lunch or dinner. As Restaurant Manager, he will always take the time to share amazing Balinese stories which will impact your life positively, understanding the true meaning of life. From a culinary and service standpoint, the dining experience is always on point. And for breakfast, make sure you try the French toast 🥞 and ask him the secret recipe… Hats off to everyone and we will definitely be back 👋 Astungkara 🙏

Perched atop the stunning "Valley of the Kings," CasCades presents a dining experience that is in perfect harmony with its breathtaking surroundings. The food is elegant, honest, and delicious, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine. The Truffle Mushroom Risotto, made with coconut cream, was a uniquely silky and aromatic delight, and the Kale and Pumpkin Salad was a perfect study in flavor and texture. But what truly completes the experience is the service. The staff possesses a rare emotional attentiveness, moving with a quiet grace and genuine warmth that makes you feel completely at ease. At CasCades, the spectacular view is just the beginning of a truly memorable and restorative meal.

Absolutely lovely, with extremely attentive, friendly and respectful service. Fantastic views over the valley, great food. Very helpful when my wife had injured her ankle; drove us up to the reception in a buggy and installed us there until the Grab car arrived. Impossible to put my finger on a single thing - Thank you very much again! Tip: For tipping, bring cash. For us Europeans, who are used to adding a sum on the bill, things are done differently here.

While staying in Ubud, we visited CasCades for dinner, as it appeared to be a nice environment with a beautiful location- and it was! The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making this an all around lovely spot. Unfortunately I made the mistake of arriving quite hungry and filling up on bread, as they provide an assortment of delicious baked breads. The food was all good, as a vegetarian there were a decent amount of options! The roasted cauliflower is a nice dish but I would recommend sharing this, as the flavour gets a bit bland.
