I come here all the time, so the bad reviews genuinely surprise me. This isn’t the West Village.. it’s the LES. The vibe is intentionally relaxed, the staff is friendly once you actually give them a second, the food and wine are consistently great, and no one rushes you out. It’s truly one of my favorite spots.

The ambiance feels very cozy, chic and Western European. I enjoyed my evening there. As others mention, the staff leaves much to be desired.

Great spot. Tasty small plates. Reminds me of cafes in the East Village and San Francisco in the ‘90s. Laid back. Great atmosphere for just talking. None of that instagram crap, just a real place to unwind.

Perfect place to share a bottle of wine with your friends on a Sunday afternoon. The stracciatella is incredibly fresh and flavorful. A chess club event was going on so there was a great buzz, but very busy.

We love visiting here on a relaxed weekend morning or afternoon. The cortados are always well-made. The menu is light but satisfying. The baguettes and the tartines are simple and good. The wine list is small. The interior is charming. During warmer seasons, the sidewalk seating is a real treat, providing a lovely spot to enjoy your meal. It’s the perfect place to unwind and savor a peaceful moment in the LES.
