We walked into this pub with absolutely no expectations, but we were blown away by the "Fruit Stand Grape" beer! It's almost wine-like, with a strong, vibrant grape aroma and a wonderfully smooth finish. The "Bank in the Day" was good too, but the "Fruit Stand Grape" is definitely the standout. It's reasonably priced and so flavorful that I'm already craving another. This is also a great spot because they let you bring in food from other places. Since there's the delicious Rocky Mountain Pizza Co. and Slope Hatch Tacos nearby, I highly recommend grabbing takeout from there and then coming here specifically for the "Fruit Stand Grape" beer! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the location is fantastic. Sitting on the outdoor patio makes for a truly enjoyable travel experience!

Google
Some of the best beer in the ole USA! Troy layers so many flavors in his brew. As a flatlander it is rare that I can drink these offerings. Maybe I need to move … ? Drink n enjoy!

Google
Coming from the east coast (literally on the ocean just south of Boston) I was familiar with Casey’s sour offerings. While on a 11 day motorcycle trip through Colorado and Utah brought me to Glenwood Springs for the night I knew I’d have to hit Casey for a brew or two. Well I’ll be darned. I got a seat on the porch and next thing I knew I made friends and had a great time and a lot of great beers. Great spot and cool downtown. 🍻

Stopped into Casey Brewing on our Glenwood Springs trip—what a gem! 🍻 Great selection for everyone, with cozy indoor and sunny outdoor seating. My favorite was the 100% Nelson—super fresh and bursting with flavor. A must-visit for any craft beer lover!

Google
If you know about Casey brewing and you're not from the area, you must know that these guys are great and make amazing beer. We had the privilege of visiting last weekend and tried as much as I could because I didn't know when I would be able to return. The staff was great and knowledgeable, I had asked about the brewing process, and they were able to tell me some of the processes and inspirations of the beers. Would put this as one of the best brewery experiences I've had. Can not wait to return.

Google
Stop in if you are in Glenwood Springs!! They have a great selection of beer to choose from! You can bring your own food in while enjoying drinks! Very nice and relaxing atmosphere, will definitely visit again!

Google
Loved this little tap room. The staff and regulars are like a family, they have open seating and patio seating with fireplace. Amazing selection of sours. You can bring in your own food because they don't have food options but everything is super close. Plus- they are dog friendly inside and out.

Josh Levey

Google
Great brewery in the heart of Glenwood Springs, specializing in sour beers. The beer was very tasty. They have a nice airy taproom and a dog friendly patio. No food but you can bring your own from one of the many restaurants nearby.

Dustie M.

Yelp
Always a must stop location! I've visited this location. Since it opened and can't praise it enough. The venue is clean and comfortable with a fun layout. You can sit inside at a private or shared table or out on the patio and enjoy the fresh air and people watching. The beers, I can't praise enough as Troy and his team do a great job at everything they brew. You can typically find me with a full pour of Pilsner and 4-5 taster sizes of various sour style beers to accompany. Leaner is my absolute favorite! The staff is always warm and welcoming. They all have a great knowledge of the menu and don't hesitate to make suggestions.

Viv P.

Yelp
Great vibes! You can bring your own food, as the place only serves beer. They have really nice tables to enjoy food with your favorite beer inside, with a garage door style door opening to the patio. The patio is right under the bridge (is it a freeway?), where a row of other restaurants share the street creating a row of fun eateries. We were inside and the cars weren't too loud. As to the beer, I'm more of an ipa kind of girl, but didn't really find their selection my thing. I tried the back in the day (west coast ipa) and their 2 hazy ipa. They were just ok to me. Their brown ale was good according to my friend but not my thing. And the German Pilsner was light and sparkly. Overall awesome fun, love the vibes, and had a great time!

Diane A.

Yelp
Top many IPAs for my liking. The bartender was not very nice or talkative. The vibe is very pleasant and there are a lot of options for beer it just felt like half the menu was IPA. Plenty of seating.

David K.

Yelp
Went here on 7/23/24. We got there right when they opened at 2. We were only getting beer to go since we were leaving town. I've had Casey before but at other places. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. Fun atmosphere. Lots of tables and seems you can take alcohol outside. Definitely would come back and try more. Cheers!

Matt C.

Yelp
Casey brewing was an awesome stop on the way home from a western slope trip! They have a huge array of different concoctions, mostly in the wild ale, saison, and ipa side of things with sours added too! They have a sweet taproom downtown under the bridge in a nice pedestrian mall! Love the brick and plants. They have such a cool design I even bought a sign! I got the Vanilla Velvet, a mix of apricot, vanilla and lactose. It was a great mix of sour and fruit! Definitely will be heading back again. Friendly bartenders, fun location, and great creative beers!

Kevin B.

Yelp
We didn't really know anything about Casey Brewing until we stumbled upon it while staying in Glenwood Springs. Their taproom was a quick walk from our hotel and it made for a nice place to grab a few drinks and wind down after a day of driving. Their sours are absolutely fantastic and we learned later that Casey is one of the best breweries in the country for sour ales. They also have good IPAs and they have a variety of beer here. The taproom is a great location with lots of seating and their prices were very good too. They also had a great swag shop (we love getting stuff from every brewery we visit) and we really enjoyed coming here overall!

Samantha G.

Yelp
Great beer and the taproom was super chill and nice! Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Alden C.

Yelp
Always love trying new breweries I haven't tried before but it's an extra plus when it's one from Colorado! I used to live there and always had my radar antennas out for when a new one would open! We tried two different beers from Casey Brewing and Blending. One beer was an American Lager called Fancy Foam. It was solid and I did enjoy the crisp and dry hopped flavor that it had. But my favorite of the two beers was their Helles, a Helles Lager with a great maltiness and a very clean finish this beer was very refreshing as many Helles Lagers are. This one was definitely not a disappointment. I almost always have satisfying experiences with Helles Lagers from all kinds of different breweries and Casey's version was no exception!

Kareem S.

Yelp
After a long flight and drive from Denver we dropped into Casey Brewing to have a beer and wait for the rest of our party. Sadly the bartender was more interested in rehashing her prodigious night of imbibing to her friends who were making it difficult to get to the bar and order a beer. She could have cared less that we were there. Actually, this is probably incorrect, and wished we weren't there. We ordered a beer and sat in what felt like an un-welcome place. We left without contemplating another beer. (Oh! The beer was pretty good! Go buy some at the local market).

Joyce T.

Yelp
I start by saying that 20% tip is included in the bill. After some beers, its easy to forget that and pay another 20% which I did! A marvelous selection of beer styles here. A little something for everyone. From high ABV to the expected IPA. No food but one can bring their own. In and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Friendly bartenders. Beers in can available.

Laura J.

Yelp
We LOVE Casey brewing so much we go almost every year on our birthday. Sours are sour and the ipas are pretty tasty. Tried the seltzer for the first time and it was lovely. Wish they had a fruity, not sour beer.

Lauren G.

Yelp
When I saw Casey was boasting 17 of their own beers on tap I was blown away! This is especially impressive when you consider Casey really delivers on quality as well. In addition, there were 2 hard seltzers on the menu for those who dont like beer and a couple guest taps, including a non-alcoholic beer. My husband opted for their 100% Nelson Hazy IPA and I ordered the Ghost Note Bartlett Pear Sour and both were delicious. Since dogs are not allowed in the taproom and the patio was in the full sun, it was nice to have the option to sit in the common area under the bridge. The people watching was better from that vantage point anyway. We ordered pierogies and kielbasa from the nearby fixed food truck and had a fine feast! We would definitely return!!

Pixie M.

Yelp
Beautiful and artfully decorated location with a varied selection of beers. Maybe, I'm just used to my local hometown brewery staff being super friendly, but my husband and I both noted the beertender never said hello when we walked up to the bar -- he just stood there waiting for us to order. We did make a second visit during our time in Glenwood - same beertender, same lack of friendliness to guests. The patio was a nice place to have a beer, listen to music under the bridge and people watch.

Kendra S.

Yelp
Way Back is tasty. Was not a huge fan of the sours I tried. The Apricot and Peach Van were a little too sweet. Long list of beers so plenty to try. Cool little spot worth checking out.

Wendy M.

Yelp
We stopped in for two nano seconds - just enough to order one sour beer, realize the time and take it to go - which was so nice to have as an option. The Cherry Rose sour wasn't impressive. I love sours but I wouldn't order it again. Casey's had six other sours, so I'd definitely return. Fun tip: outside food is allowed and Casey's has games inside to spice up your day drinking routine.

Juan M.

Yelp
Just wanted to say that the tastes of their IPA's are amazing, really recommend to stop by and enjoy some good beer.

Yelp
Having had Casey Brewing on my must-see list for a minute now, you can imagine my delight when I realized my recent adventure in Glenwood Springs would afford me some extra time to finally stop in - score! LOCATION: Casey Brewing is located in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs, within walking distance of all the things! I highly recommend finding a central parking spot and leaving your car to meander the streets a bit, you won't be disappointed. SPACE/ATMOSPHERE: It's very modern, but cozy. Casey Brewing offers up a variety of seating including couches and armchairs, community seating, high tops and more. Had the weather been warmer, we def would've taken advantage of their awesome little patio space. BREWS: YUM! The real star of the show here, of course, were the brews! Casey Brewing features a wide variety of brews, but they def have a niche towards the sour and funky brews - def a favorite of mine. During our visit, hubs and I sipped on the blackberry rose fruited sour and another fruited berry sour that I have since forgotten the name of (#fail). Both were delicious, juicy sours, that made your mouth water for more! Mmm... Next time I will be ordering up a flight to try all the brews! SERVICE: The beertender was super friendly and helped answer any questions we had regarding the tap list. She also accommodated my need for photos of my pour in front of the taps, which is always a win in my book. MERCH: So many awesome options to show your Casey Brewing love! Sweaters, shirts, hats, glassware, and more! There's def something for everyone. I can definitely say I'll be back to Casey Brewing next time I'm in Glenwood Springs. Cheers, Glenwood Springs!

Yelp
If you're into beer, Casey Brewing is a must visit. They brew fantastic mixed culture beers, utilizing oak barrel fermentations and old world techniques. They have won numerous awards for their beers, as well as champion predominately Colorado ingredients. For whatever reason, I had no idea they were based out of Glenwood Springs. When I was in town for a long weekend, I knew I had to make it a point to swing by the taproom. In the heart of Downtown Glenwood Springs, the tasting room nearly seems out of place for the area. I only say that because of how chic and cozy the space is. It's just an interesting dynamic with the influx of foot traffic from tourists and kids walking by at a rapid pace. The menu is extensive, and making a decision will be difficult for any first timer. Luckily the beertenders are knowledgeable and willing to assist. After much deliberation, I knew a dealer's choice would be the best option. I was not let astray. The sours I sampled were on point. Tart, crisp and went down smoothly on a warm afternoon. If you're not into beer, this might not be the most approachable option for you. However, if you're willing to step out of your comfort zone and try something innovative, Casey Brewing is the place for you. Cheers!

Julia M.

Yelp
The beer is good but the service is not! Very rude bartender who treated us like we were bothering her! She was nicer to the local dog than to costumers (which I get, dogs are better than better people) but we were treated poorly before the pup walked in!

Michael J.

Yelp
This place specializes in sour beers and they do it very well. Some of the best that I've had anywhere. I asked for small pours so that I could taste several. Nice, spacious outdoor seating.

Eduardo V.

Yelp
Beer was amazing, I clumsily spilled a beer and not only did they quickly pick it up they served me a full new one. A lot of choices for everyone here from especially if your an IPA lover.

Tamra H.

Yelp
The double IPA is soooo good! Pleasantly surprised. I would 100% recommend coming here! We came here over 4th of July weekend, there was live music and you were able to take a beer to go and enjoy the music outside (just a few steps outside the brewery boundaries but it was fantastic!

Sarah W.

Yelp
Fav spot for a brew in Glenwood! Always have a great selection of rotating beers, lots of hazy & sours! You can grab a bottle to go of a sour or a 6 pack of 16 ozs too. They brew everything here and have a sweet staff, we love the bartenders they have great recommendations! Pup friendly and you can grab food to go from a neighboring restaurant and bring it in here if you're hungry. A few board games are around too if you want to play some games!

Glenn G.

Yelp
I got some good hazy IPAs, good outdoor seating, water dog area dog friendly plenty beers on tap

Kristina T.

Yelp
I really enjoy sour beer so it makes me super happy to find a brewery that makes tasty sour beer. Casey Brewing is one of the few breweries that I have come across that focuses on and excels at sour beer. The menu is a long beer list consisting of a lot of different sours and a few other types of beers. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but I had to restrain myself and went with the first four on the list. I do not recall what I had tried, but they all had fruit flavors and were super tasty and refreshing. The taproom does not serve food. However, you can bring your own food in, and you have options. There are plenty of great restaurants surrounding and within a short walking distance from the taproom. Pick up some food on your way over. The taproom has plenty of light inside and an outdoor area so it is a great spot to hang out at. Pair some good local beers and food together. You will have an enjoyable time.

Mateo E.

Yelp
Beer aficionados know that Casey is the highest rated brewery in Colorado, among the nation's best. Many make the trip from Denver just to have a drink and/or pretend to be moonshiners and haul carloads of Casey back over the Divide. I'm not that dedicated, but I'll be stopping here any time I'm in Glenwood. Social distancing works here--there's plenty of space inside or on the patio. The vibe's friendly. Order at the bar. Ask all the questions you like. While Casey's known best for sours, they can't help but make superb NEIPAs and high ABV stouts. This visit, I had the latter two while others focused on the sours. Of the three tasters I had,"No Title" pastry stout ruled them all, smooth as silk with its vanilla, coconut, and almond influences. The "Citra A Go Go" IPA made magic out of hops. I took home bottles of both. Even though I'm not worthy, the "Nectarine Diversion" sour was sublime. They do not serve food, but you're steps from solid options. Smoke BBQ will do you right. Enjoy!

Steve L.

Yelp
Fantastic beers, great service, outdoor seating available with heaters where you can bring your own takeout

Chris O.

Yelp
Great beer. Awesome bar. Taproom means a room full of taps.. so why is it full of screaming children? Is this not a BAR?

Susie H.

Yelp
Visiting Glenwood Springs Colorado, we took a walk to the quaint little downtown area. After crossing the bridge from our hotel are into downtown we encountered Casey's brewing taproom. They had many, many options for Colorado brews, IPA's and stouts and many large bottles type beers to pick from. Between seven of us we each tried something different, sour, stout, 2 Colorado golden beers and each were pleasing to the palate. We took our drinks outside to the little beer garden area and enjoyed each other's company as well as the local beer from Casey's. The staff was great and friendly to all the questions we had, and samples we asked to try.

Casey P.

Yelp
Had to come to this brewery because my name is Casey, and wow, was very surprised at just how legit this beer is. Highlights for me were a 100% nelson ipa, a bomb bourbon barrel aged imperial stout, and some great sours. I'd say their sours are great "intro" sours as they have great flavor while being mild on the sourness. Highly recommended brewery. Also has a great patio to drink on outside.

Patrick P.

Yelp
Great location from the hotels and hot spring! More importantly, the beer was tasty before our dip into the hot springs! I got the Pilsner are it was light and crisp! The bartender was generally nice and gave us taste of beer so we could decide what to get! I'll be back if I'm staying in Glenwood.

Carla S.

Yelp
Great spot to sit and view the mountains. Inside, outside, somewhere in the middle. Very chill and great beer!

Glory R.

Yelp
Do NOT go here, especially if you're not white. The board said $8 for the beer I ordered and the lady charged me $10. I saw her serve a white male minutes after me and charged him $8. She said she was changing the board but that it hadn't changed yet in the time we were there, which is complete bullshit. Also they don't cover the tax like you're typicall brewery. Do not support this business.

Stephen K.

Yelp
Simply the best damn brewers anywhere. I've been drinking their sours for years, going to the tour/tasting at the barrel house every time I'm in town, and now they have a taproom I can visit right downtown. Stouts and IPA's are as high quality as the hand crafted sours. Not sure how they do it. No food here, (I can imagine it would be difficult to get a food partner as high quality as they are) but there's a good taco shop just around the corner.

John R.

Yelp
Very comfortable and cozy place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a nice delicious brew. Have lots of options for every type of drinker. I typically drink sours, and it's harder to find a good sour, but this place had a wide variety of sours to make me happy!

Renny G.

Yelp
It rules. Crazy cool atmosphere and the beer is awesome. Had a couple of the IPAs and the guest Pilsner. The unfiltered hazy ipa was more my style and taste, but both were super good. They are known for their sours, but I'm not a sour lad.

Sara Z.

Yelp
Love this place! The bartenders were very helpful and recommended their favorite sours and IPA's from the list. They specialize in sours so the majority of the menu consists of different kinds of sours such as grapefruit, blackberry, and peach. I got a blackberry rose sour that was excellent! If sours aren't your thing they have a few local IPA's that are excellent as well. They also allow you to bring in outside food if you're going to be staying for awhile! Overall it was an excellent experience and I would not hesitate to come back if I found myself in the area again.

Robyn Z.

Yelp
Great selection. We tried sours and stouts. The gold eagle is delicious. Super chill. Got some perogis from the truck across the way and brought them in. They're cool with that as there's no food. Great place.

Deya Z.

Yelp
Wow wow wow, we didn't know what to expect when we stopped by but we're blown away! It's primarily a sours menu but the few hazy ipas were fantastic. We were in town 7/20 and while most places we visited didn't do much in the way of physical distancing, Casey's was super attentive and mindful. The service was fantastic from the start. They greet you as soon as you walk, give you the rundown on physical distancing, and how to order. Decent amount of space between tables, with the exception of the bar area between the patio & indoors. I recommend downloading the Arryved app to make closing out your tab as painless as possible. We'll definitely be back!

Susan L.

Yelp
We had a great time at the Casey Brewing Taproom! The staff was friendly and there was a good local vibe. Lots of people celebrating and having a good time. They had a great variety of beers, from sours to stouts. We were in the mood for a hazy IPA, and I think there were 4 on the menu. All were good, but our favorite was the 100% Mosaic. We bought two 4-packs to enjoy after we left Glenwood Springs.

Mickey M.

Yelp
Super solid place to grab a beer. Pros -Their beer speaks for itself and as of 2020 they are adding more clean beer(ipas, stouts etc.) to the menu. -They typically feature guest taps that rotate -Byof - order in and eat there -The space is beautiful and spacious -Dog friendly but outside only -Limited selection of onsite and to go bottles Cons -No food but you can bring your own Casey Taproom is a must visit if you are visiting or passing by Glenwood Springs.

Brandon N.

Yelp
Beautiful location in a fun spot. Pretty solid beer lineup as well!!

chris m.

Yelp
beer was good. ambiance on the patio good. nice place. would have ordered food if they had any they allow u to bring food in, however.

Adrienne K.

Yelp
Delicious hazy IPAs and classy taproom with bar seating or couches. They specialize in sours but only had the IPA. Would definitely go back!

Chrysanthi L.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem while exploring downtown Glenwood Springs! Such a happy accident... this was the best beer we had on our roadtrip, hands down. Staff was great and the beer was even better. Well-curated tasting room ambiance and enjoyed the outdoor patio. Highly recommend!

Betsy E.

Yelp
Stopped by on our way through the area and loved the beer on tap! Great beer, great service, great vibes. Would definitely one back!

Lin L.

Yelp
They have good selection of beer. Hazy IPA are all good, haven't tried anything not great yet. The only reason losing one star because we had half cup of beer of all three beers we ordered. The girl in the bar might be too busy. Paid for 14 oz, just got about 6 oz for one beer. the other two beers were fine.

Joseph N.

Yelp
Phenomenal brewery. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and attended to your needs. Vibrant and easygoing.

Joe V.

Yelp
Great beer... Double Hazy IPA was our favorite. LARGE selection of sours! You can bring food in from the outside, so we got multiple appetizers from smoke and the Italian underground... SMOKE, which is right next door, brought our "Togo order" over to the Casey patio on their real plates and silverware. Our bartender/server Kelsey, was awesome, friendly, and on the ball... Highly recommend!
