Just back from staying at the hotel for 1 night with friends. We ate in the restaurant last night and the food was really good. The rooms are great value with comfy beds and all the amenities you would need. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection and all the staff were polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend if staying in Glengarriff

The room met our expectations and matched the photos. What truly impressed us was the food—the restaurant offered a nightly-changing menu, and the plated breakfast was exceptional, served with warmth and care. Despite being a small hotel in a small town, the staff made us feel like family. Highly recommended.

My hubby and I ate here for lunch and dinner many times during our week long stay in Glengarrff. The staff are welcoming and friendly and their customer service exceptional. The meals were excellent. Varied, tasty, and good proportions. We can highly recommend the chicken and bacon wrap, ravioli, goats cheese salad, duck in orange sauce, fish and chips, and the mixed seafood medley amongst others. The beer garden is lovely and the beer is cold! Highly recommend.

Very high value for money, strongly recommend! The room was spacious and the bed super comfy. The shower was great and the hotel provided toiletries. The restaurant is excellent, their half chicken is killer and half the room was ordering it. In the morning we didn't have breakfast but the tea/coffee tray had plenty of supplies and a bunch of spéculos biscuits.

My wife and spent one day in Glengariff and reserved a table to dine at Casey's in order to round off our trip. When we arrived it was obvious that the staff had accepted too many reservations. We were not told this but we were asked to sit in the hotel lobby to consider the menu. Thirty minutes elapsed without any further communication with the staff. They didn't even ask if we would like a drink. When I asked if they actually had a table for us we were shown to a table in the restaurant without any apology for the wait. There were several unoccupied tables in the restaurant. Our food arrived promptly. The quailty of the food was disappointing. In particular my steak which was supposed to be rare to medium was actually verging on well done and it was tasteless and tough. The serving staff were polite and efficient and I didn't complain at the time because to do so would have ruined our evening. However, the man in charge was brusque and disinterested and didn't apologise for our wait. The meal was expensive for what it was ( this is the tourist trap that Ireland has become) Not recommend

Visiting for the day and decided to drop in here for lunch. It was a busy Sunday lunchtime and when we asked for a table, we were told they were fully booked but could probably seat us in about 20 minutes. Thought that was fair, since we hadn't booked. The gentleman who was in charge (possibly the owner or manager?) showed us to some seats in the lobby and took our drinks order while we waited. We were shown to a table and given our menus about 10 minutes later, so all was good. We noticed the staff almost running from kitchen to bar to patio constantly- certainly working hard and fast. We decided what we would like to eat and then waited for someone to come and take our order. People all around us were receiving their food and after about 15 minutes of waiters running back and forth past us but not stopping, we asked the same person who initially showed us to the table whether we should order at the bar, not having been there before. He said someone would take our order but they were busy. Waited another 5 or 10 minutes but no one stopped by to take our order so this gentleman did so himself. The food came out after a while - we had seen lots of people arrive long after us but receive their meals much faster so I think they just forgot we were there. There was a lot of running around but there didn't seem to be much coordination- no particular waiters responsible for specific tables so easy to be missed altogether, as in our case. The food was good when it came, although the vegetable were quite hard. Giving 4 stars largely because they were kind enough to fit us in without a reservation, but a little more coordination would improve the experience so that customers don't get missed. We saw waiters attend to tables either side of ours multiple times but never look in our direction. We asked for the bill and again, waited a long time before deciding to go to the bar and pay there - the waitress seemed to forget about us again.

"Caseys Hotel" -- What and absolute Gem of Hotel to find. 4 Scottish Bikers stopped off for a quick bite to eat or so we thought. Several hours later having had a fantastic meal, the steak cooked to perfection, we felt in necessary to stay and sample the warm welcome from both the Owner (Apologies I forgot your name) and the bar man (Owners son). Quite simply a great evening with great chat, both gentlemen supplying us with local knowledge of travel information of the hidden gems of scenery and stop offs that are little known by the tourists. Thanks for your hospitality Gents

Stayed here with a group of walkers for 2 night. Difficult to fault it. The bed was amazingly comfortable and breakfast in particular was fantastic. We ate in the bar both nights and again most, if not all, of us were very happy. I would definitely recommend it. There is no lift though so that might need to be taken into consideration for some people. I can't comment on the B & B prices as it was booked as part of a package so I have no knowledge of the breakdown of the costs.

Yelp
I was on the way to Castletownbere for a few nights and decided to stop in Casey's Hotel for lunch, as it was lunch time & I was quite peckish. I walked into the restaurant, it seemed quite busy, so I asked if they had a table for one or if it was possible to sit at the bar and eat there. The menu looked good and I decided to go for a crab sandwich and a side of chips (fries). I was really disappointed with the sandwich, it was very small and not very filling, especially for the price they were asking for it. I also found the staff to not be that friendly. I will not be rushing back to Casey's Hotel any time soon.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent. I had the seafood medley and would definitely have it again. The waiter and bartender were very helpful about the area.
