Cashel House Hotel

This is a lovely old country house hotel. The decor is quaint with an old world decadence. The staff were superb - the level of service we received could not be bettered. The grounds are lovely and great for a stroll after dinner. The only negative was the shower - rather a challenge to get it to work. I would definitely return for a visit.

I cannot praise this place enough!||Following my mother passing a few months before, we decided to go to the area that she first worked as a young girl 75 years ago. The hotel where she worked is under refurbishment, so we stayed here and could not have been happier. ||The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and knowing this was a special trip, they made it even more so. Really cannot thank them enough.||Wonderful setting, it's like staying in a botanical garden at times, and close to the bay as well. Room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean.||We dined in the restaurant, very good meal had, and the breakfast was huge as it was delicious. Lovely bar to sit and have a drink afterwards as well.||This is a wonderful spot, for what was a special visit and made even more so by the wonderful hotel and it's staff. Thank you!!

Having had an enjoyable experience at CHH 30 years ago on our honeymoon, my wife and I had high expectations on returning to CHH. Sadly these expectations were not met. |CHH still has an enchanting appeal and setting. Restaurant staff have a very positive, attentive attitude. |Sadly CHH has lost its way. Shabby chic objects were more a collection of faded objects and art prints. Considering the price, the quality and presentation of food was very disappointing. The menu was not worthy of much praise. Overall cooking was mediocre. Vegetables were poorly cooked. A lot the items on the menu were third party sourced, casted as specialties. All good was served on china and with cutlery that had seen better days.|Our room, had not been updated. Coffee was instant. No Nespresso machine. Biscuits were cheap. Again disappointing given the price we paid.|Despite the hotel knowing we returning after 30 years, no attempt was made to make us feel valued.|Considering guests( local and international) travel many miles to get CHH - they need to up their game to make it a destination hotel.|Invest in a new chef/menu. Invest in revamping decor. Evening talks - exploring their impressive gardens, their artefacts, & Irish culture. |Until such actions are taken, with regret, I question if I would return - there are other better value and exciting hotels available in the area.

We loved this place for its cozy rooms and chintz and country house feel. We had stayed at the Westbury in Dublin, the Titanic in Belfast and Ballynahinch Castle in Connemara, and each were very different, very charming and very fun. Cashel House has a true feel of visiting someone’s country house. Our room was large, charming, and so perfect w/ views of the garden. We had a good and relaxing dinner in the restaurant, and enjoyed a peat fire and some really good Irish whiskey in the bar. Highly recommended!

A lovely old style country house hotel. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous and extensive gardens, great location (even if a bit out of the way), very dog friendly and delicious food, much better than you’d expect from a hotel like this. We ate in for two evenings (and the menu changed) and out the third evening, which we regretted. The only downside, which is an important one, was that our bed was old and uncomfortable, with poor quality bedding, not consistent with a hotel of this calibre and pricing - a hard foam pillow and poly cotton sheets. So we didn’t get a good night’s sleep.

The hotel was away from the hubub of town and very peaceful, but close enough to get to town and the sights. The gardens were just lovely. The breakfast room and view was a fabulous way to start the day. Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful stay while touring the surrounding area.

Cashel house is a place that we have returned to again and again over the past ten years , and it never disappoints. We met many returning customers which says a lot about the place . |It’s the perfect escape as you feel transported back in time to a more gentle pace of life . |The staff, absolutely everyone, is amazing. So friendly and professional. The food is fantastic, big buffet breakfast and delicious dinners . |And the most invaluable of all … you can bring your dog. 🐾 It just makes the whole stay a special experience. |Thanks again to Cashel House for another wonderful long weekend .

We had our wedding reception here for 2 nights in June and it was everything we dreamed of and more.|From start to finish everything was perfect. |Tanya was so helpful throughout and assisted us in planning everything at ease, there was no stress whatsoever. The food was absolutely outstanding, everyone loved it.|Rooms are beautiful and so unique. |Special shout out to Ray and his team who went above and beyond to make everyone feel so welcome and the service was top class. The staff really are a credit to this hotel. |The house and the gardens are stunning, it really is a fairytale wedding venue and we can't wait to return again!|Thank you so much to Ray, Brian, Tanya and all your team for giving us the best weekend of our lives 😊❤️||Collette and Robbie
