I absolutely love visiting the Cashiers Farmer’s Market! The fresh eggs were just adorable — I couldn’t resist taking some home. But I’ll be honest… I made not one, but two trips just for the biscuits and sausage patties. If the wonderful person who makes those biscuits is reading this, please reach out. I live in Miami, and I would love to bake these for my family. When I dream of the perfect biscuit, this is exactly how they taste — flaky, buttery, and unforgettable.

Such an adorable place. We got a little wagon and went up and down the isles to see all the yummy stuff they had. We got some jam, cookies, cherries and my hubby picked out coffee that they grinded up for him. The market was crowded on a weekday. The staff were really pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves.

Everything you need for a week in the mountains is right here! Beautiful local produce plus baked goods, frozen entrees, jams and relishes, cheeses, eggs.

This was a great place to stop and buy food and drinks for our stay in Cashiers. One warning though, don't come in hungry, or you'll buy everything you see as they have great, fresh options! :) We did have lunch at the attached BBQ window and that was a great experience as well.

This farmers market has a great variety of high quality goods. It’s not the cheapest place to shop but so many tempting finds. We always grab some BBQ in the corner store to enjoy it at the picnic tables.

Went for the dogs, happy to see them all out and about. Had the BBQ, was fine but nothing to write home about. But I loved seeing the pups. Cricket was my favorite.

Ain't this America! The abundance of down home goodness here is heart warming. And it is so very neighborly :). LOVED the fresh produce, fresh baked goods (made with actual wholesome ingredients... don't leave without banana bread), and most especially the Goat Cheese spread in the cooler. You know it's good when they limit you to only 2. It sells out fast for a reason. Also not to be missed is the bbq and perhaps even more so, the banana pudding. Ah I would shop here every day if only.... See you next summer Cashiers!

Located at a wildly busy intersection but definitely worth the visit! They have an impressive array of locally farmed and produced goods. It's incredibly cramped and the shoppers aren't terribly polite, but it's charming, stocked, and has a couple fun trains running overhead.

Fun stuff to look at and an attached bbq restaurant. We got a few things to snack on. My kids loved the dogs that roam the shop.

Super cute market w/ nice variety of produce, jams/jellies, cheeses, gifts to take back home, chips/nuts, and a wide assortment of snacks. Staff was friendly as well!

Food, service, and ambience is all fabulous. A great place to walk around and check out everything and you won't leave without buying something.

My new go to farmers market for great vegetables, local tomatoes, and other fine edibles.

Was here this summer and bought amazing butter pickles, jams, and had an amazing sandwhich outside I think it was a Cuban. Would highly recommend making the trip to cashiers just for this farmers market!

Cool market. This is the only grocery location in Cashiers. It close at 4 pm. So shop early. There is no closer grocery unless you decided to drive half hour or more. This location is easy to find since they are just located at the intersection of the US 64 and highway 107. That is actually the Main Street intersection. This is a farmer market not a grocery store. It has the fresh produce every day. It also has the live herb for you to pick and cook if you like it. I found white balsamic in the shelf which I have never seen before. They also have the pre-mixed sauce to be use for cooking. It has strange looking squash and roman tomato. I have not seen an ugly tomato that sweet. If you don't have enough, get some sugar stick. The farmer market also has an BBQ to go window if you like some local BBQ to go.

This is a must stop while driving through the North Carolina mountains. Excellent choice of fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses, breads, treats, basically everything. Including a lunch counter that is delicious BBQ. Perfect place to stop and have lunch while taking a break from driving. Also, check out the sign across the street for a place that does taxidermy and sells fudge.

This is a cool little farmers market with a considerable number of upscale and gourmet items. But in my opinion, the real gems are the pies. Multiple flavors, often still warm right off the rack, and simple ingredients (no high-fructose corn syrup or preservatives). Yes, there is an Ingles grocery right down the street, but go to the Cashiers Farmers Market for the good stuff.

What a cool spot! While exploring Cashiers, we came across this super cute Farmers Market. I'm always game for unique product spotting and some of these markets have the best things! This farmers market did not disappoint. Not only do they have beautiful produce like fresh melons, local heirloom tomatoes, multiple varieties of squash, and more, but they also have a solid wine selection, gourmet cheeses, artisan breads, italian pastas, a plethora of sauces, jams, jellies, relishes, fresh seafood and meats including fresh fish, crab, filet mignon, and lamb, smoked trout, charcuterie and more. They have old time bottle sodas and candies and fudge! Theres a BBQ restaurant off to the side that was packed. We didnt try it as we just had lunch, but it looked to be very popular. The parking was easy as they have their own lot. We made out with pickled beet chow chow, spiced peaches, fresh peaches, pickled quail eggs and a few other goodies. Loved, loved our visit here and excited to try our goodies when we get home.

A slice of shopping heaven. A mix of nostalgia, fresh produce, pottery, responsibly raised meat, local dairy, wine, FRESH BAKED PIES, and among other bits and jars of gourmet fantasy, a big fluffy dog?!? This is one of the happiest small stores I've been to and has made our cabin into a gourmet kitchen.

Fun local market with fresh, interesting selection. Great in the summer. A bit pricey but worth it for the quality. Go to the back freezer for excellent prepared food. Cheese and wine selection, as well as baked goods and produce are all fantastic. They bake pies on site so grab one if you see the cooling rack out.

Cashiers offers something most others cannot: quality, consistency, and tradition. Their revamped bbq joint attached to the selling stalls giving you a great place to snag their famous chicken salad or bbq brisket. I loved coming here and milling around the timey stalls, and picking out some bbq T-shirt's. Nestled between the Appalachian mountains, be sure to drop by and give Tom, the owner, a hello. He'll be sure to greet you with a smile and a lick from his Golden if you're lucky.

If I could shop here every day of my life I would. The ambience is reminiscent of how shopping for produce used to be: local, fresh, and the best selection of whatever is in season. The best, fresh, local fruit/veggies/gifts/pies/cakes/jellies/etc. I always try to get some flowers while I'm here too because they're just absolutely gorgeous. If you need recommendations on a cake to get, the caramel cake is decadent and delicious! Make sure to say hi to the sweet pup who is usually lounging around somewhere inside!

If this market were located in Manhattan, I'd give it three stars, but considering its rural location, it's definitely five stars. We got an excellent apple pie that was still warm and were amazed at the high end items they stock--everything from frozen rack of lamb to canned items from the area to frozen high end meals ready to eat to all sorts of sauces--not to mention the produce. A must stop if you're in the area.

This place is cool. They have a great selection of upscale products like finer cheeses, specialty jams and pickles and even some wine. I recommend the homemade salsa if you can get some before it's all gone.

Very nice little Farmer's Market. Prices are good and the produce looks fresh. They even had a few things that aren't at the local Ingles store. I got some parsnips and golden beets that you can't always find in the regular stores. They have some local pottery which is really pretty, jams and jellies and local meats. Very nice place if you are visiting from out of town and would like a few groceries. You should stop by the BBQ window and get some of the shredded pork...excellent. I just have one suggestion...there should be a bigger discount if you want just the sandwich..maybe 2 or 3 dollars instead of just one. $9.50 for a sandwich, side, chips and drink is an excellent deal...$8.50 for the sandwich..not so much.

What a fun place. It has the charm of being an open air indoor space that feels like the porch of an old gas station. Don't let that fool you into thinking that it is a place of simple, tired foods; they had some really great offerings, of a varied sort!

The CFM is a must if you are in or around Cashiers. The atmosphere and people are great. They have a takeout BBQ window with amazing food!

Great little roadside market. My family stopped in after a day of outdoor adventures to pick up some fresh fruit and BBQ for an easy dinner later that evening. It was quite busy but my daughters and I were able to pick out some fresh peaches and heirloom tomatoes without much fuss while my husband placed our to go BBQ order at the walk up window next to the market. We also grabbed some beautiful blackberries and a fresh baked apple pie. Everything was a little pricier than our markets at home but I imagine the prices reflect the fact that were in peak tourist season. I liked the fact that you get to pick the type of sauce you want on the BBQ since mustard, vinegar, and sweet sauces all have big fans in this region. I'm sure we'll be back before our week stay is up.

Great spot for lunch, and I can't walk through the market without buying something! I'm a local, and I eat here a lot. Best barbeque within at least 50 miles! I also love their brisket sandwitch, and the Cuban sandwich is as good as any I've had on Calle Ocho in Miami. All the merchandise in the store is hand selected by the family. Not always cheep, but always the best! Ask about the local goat cheese....wow!

I'm not particularly a fan of the Cuban sandwich, having had some really weak ones in the past. But CFM made me a believer. The combination of sweet Virginia ham, succulent pulled pork, and delicate thin-sliced provolone make this rendition a crowd-pleasing winner. If you don't have a huge appetite, you could share this with a friend...but otherwise you won't be able to resist finishing the whole thing. The food window is a relatively recent addition to this delightful little market that sells wonderful fresh produce, seafood, a selection of local and other wines, and souvenir dish towels, t-shirts, and reusable shopping bags in the heart of Cashiers. There's no indoor seating, so plan on taking your sandwich home, or, in fair weather, dining at picnic tables on the small lawn. No alcohol served. The market closes between roughly Christmas and Easter so that the owners can adjourn to warmer climes.

My favorite restaurant/shop in town. You HAVE to stop by and try their food, the Cuban is fantastic... Im a local and I stop by almost once a week to get one. The $9 price might seem a tad bit expensive but the sandwich is huge. Everything is good there.
