Casin dei Nobili B&B

The quality and location of this accommodation was excellent. The host Lara was very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. She had kindly arranged for me a beautiful presentation of flowers, wine and chocolates for my wife upo entering our room, as we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary while on our stay. The room was of a very high quality, very clean, large whirlpool bath, very comfortable large bed. The breakfasts were also of a high quality, varied and plentiful. |The fact our room overlooked a small canal added to the magical quality of it.|Could not fault and would highly recommend.

This B&B is a beautiful place to stay in wonderful part of this amazing city. Before you arrive you are made to feel welcome with great support about how to find the accommodation (it’s so easy by public transport) and upon arrival begin to be treated as a part of the family. The accommodation itself is of a very high standard. The bed was very comfortable with amazing pillows. Mini-bar (with complimentary water) and very competitively priced beer and soft drinks, safe, and luxury toiletries are all provided. Air-conditioning is provided and is very effective and efficient, cooling the room within a couple of minutes. All the staff you meet are very friendly and help you make your stay as perfect as possible. Breakfast choice is extensive given there are only three rooms, and will set you up for the day. The Casin Dei Nobili is located in a superb area with plenty of local bars and restaurants in very short walking distance including their own Casin Dei Nobili restaurant, which is superb. ||I can’t recommend this place highly enough. We had a wonderful stay here, and were sad to leave. The only caveat I would say is that the rooms are located up four flights of stairs and may not be suitable for people with impaired mobility, but this in no way detracts from the quality of service, food and accommodation provided at this beautiful B&B.

This is such a wonderful place to stay! The location was great, close enough to walk to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away that it was quiet. Lara made our stay so comfortable. She was very helpful with her suggestions and went out of her way to ensure our stay was memorable. Breakfast each morning was filling and delicious. Lots of choices! We will come back!

Best B&B I have ever stayed at. The employees were communicative and helpful, the rooms were BIG and clean, breakfast was wonderful, and the location was great. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

A fantastic place to stay in central Venice. It's in a great location just a few minutes walk to the vaporetto station at Ca' Rezzonico, so really easy to wheel your luggage to the property. Close to the Guggenheim and Accademia and easy to walk to Zattere for vaporetti to Giudecca and San Giorgio Maggiore. ||Lara and her team are lovely and incredibly helpful with great restaurant recommendations and advice. Communication by WhatsApp was always really speedy.||The rooms and the breakfast room are spotlessly clean and Lara has thought of every little detail (like tissues, cotton wool pads and even toothbrushes). All the bedrooms are spacious with canal views and ours was really quiet at night. The beds are very comfortable indeed.||The breakfast was delicious. We really appreciated the espresso and the fresh orange juice and the wide selection of food. It is also a lovely touch that pastries, snacks and sweets are left out for you to eat and that there is a great selection of guide books, magazines and other books about Venice for you to borrow.||Thank you so much to Lara and her team for a fantastic stay. There is such a personal touch at this property which gave us the feeling that the owner really cares about her guests. We will definitely be back!

I was thrilled when my boyfriend surprised me with a 3-night stay here, and this place exceeded all our expectations! Lara and her husband, along with the entire staff, treated us like family, providing exceptional service throughout our stay. The rooms are impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need. We were delighted by the amazing breakfast each morning, and I highly recommend trying their on-site restaurant - it shares the same name and quality as the accommodation. We're already looking forward to our next visit to this wonderful gem! ❤️

So much thought, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent hospitality has been put into this place and the experience provided to guests. The room was spacious and clean, with thoughtful touches to make things more comfortable. The staff were wonderful, kind consummate hosts. Breakfast was delicious and generous. The location is perfect - you can walk to anything but you’re away from the crowds and the most touristic parts of Venice. Thank you to Lara and the team for a perfect stay. By far the worst food we've had in Italy in two weeks. Entres came out cold. They charged a cover?(for dinner) servers were rude. Go to literally any other place.

Great lunch not too far from the Peggy Guggenheim and Accademia. Eat in their courtyard (terrazza) if you can. Service is excellent to go along with good food and wonderful ambiance.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you would like to try some traditional Venice/maritime food. Especially if you don't appreciate extravagant cuisine, here you'll go safe . Service was very nice, they also gave us some mosquito repellent, when we asked, and brought a bucket of ice to keep our water bottles cool. The best part is the possibility to eat in their open but protected patio, where you can enjoy a very romantic atmosphere on a warm summer night. Big plus because food is good and also comes in abundant portions

We decided to enjoy our last evening in Venice with a cozy and local meal around the corner from our Airbnb. We were not disappointed with Casin dei Nobili. The ciccheti was an assortment of delicious combinations from baccala to Gorgonzola with an onion jam. The homemade spaghetti vongole was in an unforgettable broth and the veal was delicious too. It was warm enough for the retractable roof to be open for the beginning of our meal, which revealed a charming view of colorful buildings! Once it cooled off, they closed the roof and the restaurant took on a quaint and historic vibe all while maintaining warmth. The service was impeccable. The bartender was incredibly helpful and friendly and took time to explain each of the cicchetti combinations to us.

We spent 4 nights in Venice and wound up having dinner here twice. We were most impressed with the selections offered. Most were seafood based on local items as well as other traditional dishes including beef and veal. Our first experience was in the outdoor/indoor garden area that was very pleasant as the weather was clear and cool but not cold. Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the chef recommendations as well as wine pairings from local vineyards. Staff was most helpful in meeting our needs without being overbearing. Food was presented in order of our request (salad, main, dessert) and all items exceeded our expectations. Dessert offerings that we chose were excellent as well. As mentioned before we ate here twice. Our second dinner was on Italy's national holiday (April 25th). We stopped by in the afternoon to see if they were open and had any reservations available for that evening. Upon arrival the manager greeted us by saying, "Welcome back". Needless to say we were very impressed by that and had yet another excellent dining experience. Upon leaving we found out that they also have a small B&B nearby (https://www.casindeinobili.it/). Looks like we have a place to check out next time were in Venice!

Excellent restaurant with amazing food, especially for the price! Great variety of both seafood in nonseafood plates. We ate here our first evening in Venice, and we're very pleased with our overall experience. Ambience was perfect. Our waitress was very helpful on selecting items from the menu. We did not have to wait long for food and were able to enjoy some wonderful bread with the sonic vinegar and olive oil is a pre-appetizer to our meals. My wife got the swordfish and tuna carpaccio and I ordered the salmon. Both were excellent and healthy portions. We've been in Italy now for nearly 2 weeks and this is definitely one of our top restaurants that we have eaten at since arriving in Rome 10 days ago. Would definitely recommend and will the absolute eat here again.

We dined here on our last night in Venice. 10/2/18. It was the best meal we had in Venice and we had enjoyed quite a few. The clams and mussels were perfect. Cleaned expertly with delicious butter sauce. The entrees were also delicious and the house wine was very good. We felt that the meal was not overpriced and the atmosphere and service was great.

This place was very good. I had the seafood pasta and delicious. My wife has the asparagus and shrimp pasta very good.

Tourist trap. Rick Steves how could you do this to me? The short of it is the food is not good. Service is fine. How can you tell the food isn't good when all the tables are full? Ask to use the bathroom and walk inside. You'll walk past the kitchen and staff. Is anyone Italian? Nope. The food reflects their knowledge of Italian cuisine. Around the corner between the Zattre stop and the accademia stop is a pasta to go place for 6 euros. Go there instead.

Second 5* place we encountered on our trip to Italy - this time in Venice. Linguini with lobster is difficult to mess up, and they sure didn't :) it was delicious and reasonable priced at 26€ each (1/2 lobster). In a cooler climate I might have thought the portions were a little on the smaller side being 6'5 but actually I find that less is more - especially in the mid-day heat (35C). Another good thing about the heat; I dropped half a glass of beer in my lap during the meal, but was dried up and ready to go half an hour later ;)

Really delicious food at a reasonable price. EXCELLENT pizzas and generous portions. The atmosphere is wonderful. (And Becky P, that pizza you complained about is called quattro stagione (4 seasons) and all over the world it consists of four toppings, each in a separate quadrant. You just ordered wrong.)

Just to clarify on JR's comment below to my review, I wouldn't have minded having toppings piled on separate areas of the pizza -- if they were actually good toppings. But a pile of slimy canned mushrooms is not good on any pizza. We had far better ingredients all over Italy, not a matter of "ordering wrong," just a matter of going to the wrong place.

This was an "atmosphere" stop more than anything. Tired feet sometimes just need a little rest along with some antipasti and Aperol Spritz! The location of this restaurant is beautiful however I can't say that the service or food was memorable. The location also made it quite pricey but we were here for atmosphere and for that wee were willing to pay a premium.

Having failed miserably relying on Trip Advisor to find restaurants in Paris, we decided to go with Rick Steves' Pocket Venice. Excellent choice, as it turns out. The service was by far the most attentive that we received so far in Europe, the food was very good, and our waiter not only did not try to upsell anything, he surprised us with glasses of frothy lemon sorbet at the end of the meal. If it is not raining, go for the outdoor seating on the canal!

Absolutely a great choice! Located right on the water, with a spectacular view, we were afraid it might be a bit too touristy, but the food did not disappoint. Pistachio crusted salmon was amazing, steak was good and pizza was out of this world. the chocolate soufflé was the perfect ending.

We were tired, the place looked good, we decided to have dinner. Very good choice. The pizza and pasta were winners, the view unbeatable, the staff great. We lucked out.

The food is delicious, especially the lobster and the warm chocolate cake dessert! The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The location is ideal and easy to reach. The atmosphere inside is very interesting with very cool ornaments hanging on the walls and ceiling.

As a 'veronese' residing in the US, visiting annually, I was delighted with food and service. It was recommended by a relative of Adriano, one of the best and professional staff encountered during this trip, AND was pleasantly surprised when the chef came to greet us after complimenting our dinner, even shared the ragu-sauce recipe our friend raved about. From appetizers, first, second, dolci, wine (served type we requested!) it was one of the best experiences in 4 days in Venice, will return on our next visit!.
