I was a casino employee for 10 years.
From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with the smell of cigarettes that doesn’t seem to be ventilated at all — the air feels completely stagnant.
The reception area was great, and that’s where the positives end.
My wife and I approached a blackjack table, and after exchanging chips, she was immediately told to leave the table, even though it wasn’t full — completely unprofessional.
The dealer himself was fine.
But the very idea of denying someone the simple pleasure of watching their companion play, especially when there’s room for it, is absurd.
As we were leaving, I wanted to bet on neighbors at the roulette table. There was no racetrack, and when I asked if I could place a neighbors bet, the dealer told me I had to do it myself — she wouldn’t do it for me.
No racetrack, no way to bet on neighbors or series — very disappointing.
