We came for breakfast and it was very quiet, so nicely attentive service. Walk through the gorgeous courtyard and take elevator to second floor. We enjoyed and would return.

Had a beautiful dinner at Casino Español de Mexico. Food was incredible, wine was delicious and service was fantastic. The place is gorgeous and full of history. It’s like going to a museum and then having dinner there right after. It was a beautiful experience and would defiantly dine here again.

Food and atmosphere were exceptional. Service was great (and speaking as a sales guy, the staff were the kings of the subtle upsell, give them a bonus management). The patrons on the other hand… major shade to my black friend and dark brown fiancé. Major micro aggressions. Not cool. Do better CDMX. (Nothing but 5 star service from the restaurant staff).

I was in Mexico City in March and always wanted to visit this place, we went a few times for breakfast and dinner, we tried Paella, lechon, fish, spaghetti, chilaquiles and other dishes including one dessert food was consistently good. I was surprised with the service being very good with an exception here and there, I don't know what it is but service in the CENTRO Historico is consistently bad but here service was better than most. The Paella was good so was the Lechon and the fish.good size portions.

Great traditional Spanish cuisine in an ornate 19th century palace at very reasonable prices with excellent service.

Quite an experience. A mixture of Spanish and Mexican cultures from centuries ago. Worth a visit. In the historical part of CDMX city center. The food and service were great. Yes it is expensive. Decor a blast from the past. Getting there maybe some traffic. Also parking can be a challenge. I suggest Uber.

The food was so good — like, seriously delicious as always. No complaints there. But I gotta say, it was kind of annoying that they let this group sing for so long. I get it’s part of the vibe, but it got a little too loud and distracting. Still, the kitchen crushed it like always. Worth it for the food, just maybe not during singing hours.

Yelp
Mexico City gem. Superior food. The Pulpo a la Gallega starter is sublime. Wine list resplendent with wonderful Albariños and any other wine that may tickle your fancy. On-point, impeccable service. Unparalleled ambiance. Although this city has TONS of excellent restaurants to choose from, we still make it a point to eat here EVERY time we visit this amazing city. They NEVER disappoint.

Yelp
Definitely the best paella in Mexico City; the menu is fantastic and the venue is a historic house that showcases beautiful art that reminds you about the Spanish settlers in Mexico. Even though the place is elegant and sober, the restaurant is far from pretentious. It feels like walking into one of the best kept secrets in town. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered the paella only and it was plenty. It'll keep you full. Paella & clericot is all you need when you go!

Yelp
AMAZING venue. Gorgeous decor and old world charm. Shrimp salad was to die for. Perfectly seasoned. I wanted to lick the plate. Soups are NOT their forte. Onion soup was under seasoned and over cooked and the Gazpacho tasted like watermelon. My husband took one taste and left it on the table. The beef with peppercorn sauce and the lobster were out of this world. The beef was perfectly cooked as was the lobster. Both were served with the best Paella I've ever had in my life. The flan with a brown sugar twill was excellent. Would definitely go here again.

Yelp
Stayed near by so walked to it, as you walk in the building you either walk up the stairs or take the elevator to the second floor and that is where the restaurant is. Got here early so we got seated right away. The staff was very nice and right away we got offered the menu and a pastry, Got a concha (pan de dulce) Enchiladas Casino, Huevos Veracruz, Jugo Combinado, D Americano coffee, The decor is Spanish style and it is very clean. The servers did come around and gave us good service. The food came promptly and it was good but needed something else to make it great. Overall it was a good experience. Right outside the restaurant you can walk around and also see the architecture of the building that looks amazing, (unfortunately you cannot take pictures)

Yelp
This restaurant is very special to me as it takes you to different parts of Spain with its dishes. This restaurant has an impressive architecture and the structure in the room is very cozy. It has traditional Spanish food and is a pleasant place to go to eat with the family with traditional starters such as "acorn-fed ham", "Potato omelette" or "Galician octopus". For main course my suggestions are "El cocido", "La paella", "Fabada" and finally "El Lechon". For dessert I recommend these options that are highly acclaimed by the public: "Frita Milk", "Tarta Santiago" and "Crema Catalana" A restaurant to enjoy Spanish gastronomy.

Yelp
This food was expensive and relatively tasteless. I had fish that tasted like it had been frozen awhile. I could not finish it. The pork taco appetizer was relatively tasteless. Street food would have been a lot better. The historic house that houses it is charming, but I expected more from the food and service.

Yelp
This old building is well preserved and has a stained glass ceiling that is amazing! There are two places to dine: downstairs where you can get a full lunch for $150.00 pesos which includes an appetizer, entree, bread, dessert and coffee or upstairs where the a la carte menu looks very complete and the ambiance is fancy. Either one merits a visit. The food is very good.

Yelp
Great food, wonderful service ... environment a little to lit ... but in an incredible location.

Yelp
Best paella, great lechon and croquettes! Best flan and torta as well. Over all a must visit when in Mexico City!!! Place is fancy but once you're seated it feels cozy already. If I get the chance to visit Mexico City again I will definitely come back here.
