Rural charm where silence and relaxed elegance reign. The size of this wonderful hotel and the extreme attention to detail are reminiscent of those of a private home. The breakfast is special, the products are all homemade with quality raw materials. The garden is well maintained and surrounded by beautiful plants. The interior is furnished with taste and refinement. The feeling, crossing the threshold of this charming place, is that of being at home. I recommend this little gem to everyone!

Beautiful bouquet hotel. Breakfast is very good with local cheeses, fresh juice and excellent coffee. The room is big and very tastefully decorated. The hotel has a big carpark and a beautiful garden. Can only recommend a visit here

I recently stayed at Casona de la Paca and was extremely disappointed with my experience. I had booked 2 rooms, one double for my and my wife and an apartment for my parents. Both rooms were in the annex, not the main building. The apartment was plagued by a musty odor, which we later realized was due to mold and dampness coming from the ventilation system. The double room was initially cold but ok, without smells, but the same dampness problem started to appear as soon as the ventilation started later in the night, as the rooms were pretty cold at 19 degrees. Outside it was raining and there were 14 degrees. So the situation was not only unpleasant but also potentially harmful to our health. To make matters worse, my mother, who has a severe allergy to mould, started coughing immediately after entering the room. When I brought up the issue with the receptionist, they dismissed my concerns and seemed more interested in avoiding responsibility than addressing the problem. Firstly they insisted that it was summer and that's why the heating wasn't turned on and that they didn't smell anything. The hotel did not have any other rooms available but instead offered to book a bungalow at a nearby camping for my parents after my mom threatened them that she will sleep outside in 14 the rain and cold as she couldn't even enter that room. Unfortunately, the bungalow was very cold and uncomfortable, adding to the stress of the situation. Later that night the ventilation system automatically turned on in my double room bringing the severe dampness and mould smell with it. We couldn't turn off this ventilation as it restarted automatically after 2-3 mins with a very loud banging sound. I would strongly advise potential guests to avoid this hotel at all costs. The combination of unhealthy conditions, poor customer service, a severe lack of empathy, and lack of accommodation options made our stay a complete nightmare. They even had the nerve to say they didn't charge us for the bungalow that night... To add, their electric vehicle charging points aren't really working. When we arrived both points didn't work, even after resetting them and trying to charge for 30 mins. I have a tesla model y which can basically charge anywhere without any issues but here it simply refused to work. They had to fully restart the power to the parking and one of them eventually started to work a couple of hours later. Another person tried to charge his vw id4 while we were there and it didn't work for him at all. And they had the audacity to say that because of these issues which happen to them regularly they don't charge money for charging your car.

Probably all the good reviews are from people staying in the main house, however beware if you're booking a room or an appartment in the annex. Appartment 2 on the ground floor and room 5 on the first floor of the annex smell mouldy. The mouldy smell is coming through the ventilation vents which can't be turned off. Two people in our group have a mould allergy (not a humidity allergy which the staff kept saying wrongly), one was quite severe and started coughing badly after only a couple of minutes inside the apartment. We asked for a different room and they said they were fully booked providing no other options. When we insisted, they started providing ideas like having everyone sleep in the same room using the sofa in the other room, but there was a mouldy smell in both rooms so that wasn't a solution. When we kept insisting that the person with severe allergies prefers to even sleep outside on the terrace in the rain and cold or in the car instead of inside (in this case it's clearly not a humidity issue as the staff claims, but a true MOULD ALLERGY), finally the staff found a bungalow at the nearby camping site that they offered. The bungalow was ok, no mould smell, but the heating couldn't be turned on because September is still considered summer in Northern Spain despite battering rain and 12 degrees at night and 17 in the day the whole week. During our 2 week stay in Northern Spain we didn't have this issue in any other accomodation. The bungalow was so cold during the night, that the walls were covered in condensation by the morning due to their breaths. For the people who remained in the hotel, we asked them to turn on the heating, they told us we didn't have any control over this although there were 19 degrees inside. Instead of turning on the two heaters they have in the room and bathroom, they actually turned on the heating that comes via the ventilation which we told them from the beginning was the source of the mouldy smell. We tried turning this off immediately and every time we turned it off it restarted 2-3 minutes later with a lot of noise. We turned it off a couple of times, but ultimately gave up and used ear plugs to try to sleep. The result was a lot of frustration, a sleepless night and some of us even caught a cold. In the morning I wanted to share my comments of our stay at the reception, but they kept dismissing anything we said, saying that nobody else has had this problem in 26 years, that they did what they could and we were actually the problem?! Apparently Spanish people never complained about this according to them. I guess living in London doesn't make me an expert in humidity and mould, only Spanish people can comment according to the reception. They also complained that they kept tracking us throughout the night and said that we had 22-23 degrees in the room, so it must have been really hot - what normal person stays up at night to track guests in such a detail to then complain about it? Not everybody sleeps in frigid temperatures. Last but not least, we travelled in an electric car and when we arrived their charger wasn't working. They said it sometimes works, other times not because of the humidity "that's why we don't charge for it". They were nice and tried to turn it on a couple of times, but it didn't work until later in the evening when they restarted the whole electricity in the house. Chargers are designed to work in any weather conditions and humidity should not be an issue. Maybe they should consider installing a better charger and charge for its use. Having a reliable charger is much more important for someone who chooses an accomodation because of its EV charging capabilities, than having this service offered for free if and when it works. Maybe instead of complaining about your guests online you should try to fix your own issues first. I recommend spending a night in apartment 2 of the annex maybe it will open your eyes. Overall it's a shame because the house itself was really lovely and the breakfast was great! The annex shouldn't be classified as a 3-star hotel though.

Super cozy hotel with the nicest ladies. Beautiful garden and many lovely seating spots. Good shower pressure and lovely view. Also cozy common living room with bar. Worth a visit! Suitable for couples. Short 15 minutes walk in quiet neighborhood to get to Cudillero city center (restaurants, shops, kiosks) Recommend to order breakfast at the hotel, since it’s not many breakfast restaurants nearby.

We loved this beautiful small hotel that was lovingly restored by the owner, Montse. Every detail has been taken into consideration to make her guests welcome from the minute they walk through the door. Rachel and Montse are helpful with suggestions on what to see on this part of the Asturian coast as well as which restaurants to try. The rooms are spotless and the beds very comfortable with lovely linens. The breakfasts are superb and more than ample with everything regional and home made. The hotel welcomed us home after our delicious dinners with a roaring fire in the fireplace and candles lit, even on the stairs. Cason’s de La Paca is the perfect place to stay in Cudillero.

Fantastic hotel. Very clean, full of charm, spacious rooms, excellent breakfast. Excellent value. You’d want to have youth on your side if planning to walk into town due to the hills but very easy drive anyway. Make sure to ask about the e-bike rental with Asturia E-bike, this was our highlight!
