Casona Deza

Quaint cafe in a huge old mansion vintage decor. It’s a nice place to sit. They have food and also coffees. We got a latte which is a pretty good coffee there. I also tried the rose latte (which they use granadine to sweeten it, but probably too sweet). Staff were lovely.

The food is OK but nothing can beat the atmosphere of Casona Deza Cafe in Trujillo. A beautiful courtyard, friendly and attentive staff and a solid cup of coffee ....

This place has incredible ambience and is located in a beautiful building. Food and drinks were generally very good, they make a delicious pisco and the piqueos were incredible, especially the octopus. However the service was subpar and some of the food was cold.

The place is beautiful to sit. In the beginning there was great romantic music. But after a while a loud concert started. Depends if you like it or not when you are eating. I ordered the linguine con tinta de pulpo and longostinos and some sea shelves. I got schrimps in stead of langostinos. You see it at the glazed texture of the schrimps and the taste and the size. I asked them about the issue and they said it comes like that. These are little langostinos. Langostinos are more white and have an other taste. I Know the difference well, don't full with me. For the rest the pasta was great, a really nice sauce. But when we got the bill there was 6 sol to much, which is a lot (when you know it is a whole meal). we said it and they corrected it. 'Oh they didn't used a calculator' great place, great meat, but be carefull...

Great location and good service. Reasonably priced. Loved the intimate colonial style of the place. A great spot for drinks or dinner with friends !

Beautiful setting, average food. We had a gnocchi and a carbonara, both were average. My pasta was overdone and way too cheesy. Carbonara was a better option but drowning in sauce.
