Cass Winery is one of those venues that just has it—that effortlessly gorgeous vibe that makes every photo shine. The setting is classic Paso Robles beauty: rolling hills, lush vineyards, and a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern touches. As a photographer, I love how many unique spots there are for portraits, ceremonies, and receptions. The staff is friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the entire experience even more enjoyable for everyone involved. It’s always a pleasure to work at Cass, and I’m always excited when couples choose it for their big day—it never disappoints!

Delicious lunch spot and awesome wines. A low-key atmosphere with really friendly staff. The garden is worth enjoying as well. Highly recommend this place for great food!

Cass Winery in Paso Robles is an absolute gem. The wine tasting experience was fantastic, offering a diverse selection of wines in a beautiful and relaxed vineyard setting. The service was impeccable, with staff who were knowledgeable and welcoming. The menu featured a great range of meals that were well-priced, and perfectly complementing the wines. This is an ideal spot for friends to gather, enjoy great wine, and soak in the stunning surroundings. Overall, a top-notch experience - highly recommended.

Such a worthwhile, out of our way stop! Cass Winery is nestled back a ways in Paso Robles and offers a variety of delicious estate wines and a tasty menu as well. The outdoor seating is amongst a beautiful setting. It's such a chill environment. Our server Katie was very friendly & super knowledgeable about the food & wine! They even had an outdoor, wood fired 🍕 oven! The Diavolo was amazing! I enjoyed the wine tasting & bought 2 bottles of Cabernet Sauvingon. 💯 recommend if you're in the area!

Once seated, it was like servers were avoiding us. Finally a guy came out we had talked to and had seated us saying he would be back to wait on us. Time moved on and he did come back told him needed to be gluten free and that the charcuterie could be served with gluten free crackers. He brought out the charcuterie with the regular crackers spread out over the food and the gluten free crackers on a separate plate. So I guess asking it to be served gluten free didn't mean a lot to him. We removed the crackers and items that were not gluten free, leaving me with a lot less to eat, but the person I was with ate them. The charcuterie was not much for the price. So we ordered a caprese salad and a gluten free pizza. The wine tasting went slowly and left us no time to order a glass to eat with our food. The salad came out quickly, brought by someone else. The pizza as well... but the pizza was soggy with burnt edges... gluten free crust. Meh. Salad was pretty good but was very lacking in the cheese part of it. I would talk more about the wine, but the guy serving us, came out occasionally, quick talk about what the wine was, then left. Apparently we were not worth actually talking to. Later, just before we were to pay the bill, add the tip, he decided to talk to us like we were people. But the atmosphere was good, wine wasn't bad and we would go back because it was a relaxing experience....but will revamp my review if I get ill from the food. Takes me about 2 hours to get a full blown reaction. Wish the server had cared a little about what his customer was needing and requesting.

Great wines, great food, great atmosphere, and great service. What more could you need. They have a variety of events they host, ample parking, are an accessible place, and offer a variety of other activities like e bikes and side car motorcycle tours if you want a truly unique and fun vineyard experience. I would highly recommend this place and hope to visit again one day.

It's great to have food and wine together there. They basically serve food as a formal restaurant. The pizza is tasty and freshly baked.

Darcy was amazing and so is their wine+food! Have tried everything on the menu and it's all delicious! Mourvedre wine is the best!! P.S. please bring back the amazing pesto pasta. I still dream about it!

Yelp
The Wife and I were recommended to visit Cass while we were in Paso Robles and we are glad we stopped in. The tasting was great and the food blew us away it was so delicious and perfectly prepared. Figgy Piggy Pizza - being a hard core pizza eater and cooker, I frown upon weird stuff on pizzas or they should not be called pizza. Let's put it out there, pizza with pineapple is not pizza, it's cooked dough with fruit. Anyhow, I don't want to start a riot around here. We were highly recommended to try the Figgy Piggy by friends of ours who are frequents Cass visitors. We've had many a meal with these friends and I trust their culinary sense, but prosciutto, arugula, fig jam, goat cheese and mozzarella on a "so called" pizza? They nailed it, it was great. I would never in a million years see that on a menu and say, " yep, that's what I'll be having". Really. Get this when you visit and you will be thanking me over and over. It was fun watching the pizza chef prepare and then cook the pizza in the enormous pizza oven. The shaved brussel salad was excellent as well and a great pairing with the Figgy Piggy to split with The Wife. We surprised ourselves, since we have been burnt out of ordering brussel sprouts for some time. Ever since someone figured out that steamed brussel sprouts are disgusting and charring them up in a pan, tossing them with some sweet and savory sauce and then tossing in some bacon or pork belly made them damn good, we were on board and had them all the time. At some point, several years maybe even ten, we were done with brussel sprouts. Over them! Well, we took a chance on these and glad we did. Again, just order this and don't ask questions. I wish I could remember our server's name as he was great describing each delicious wine during our tasting. He took good care of us the whole time we were there. We hit on some wines we enjoyed and ordered some bottles to take home with us. What a great experience we had at Cass. You should stop in while in the Paso Robles area. We will be back again soon. Go! Eat and Drink Well!! HAVE FUN!!!

Yelp
Food ok Service great Ambiance nice We did wine tasting with a side of chips and pizza. The food was ok. Their wines were great. We ended up signing up to the wine club. The outdoor eating area is small and cute. We would come back again

Yelp
Cass Winery is a beautiful place to explore and enjoy with a wine glass in hand. The food is fantastic. I'd recommend the short rib mac and figgy piggy pizza. I did the wine tasting which was a great introduction to the wines here. If the weather allows, I highly recommend the outdoor seating. While food and drink were great, service was lacking despite it not being busy. Heads up, you may not have cell service out coming out here so be sure to download the map beforehand. There's wifi at the winery if you need it.

Yelp
As a new wine club member of Cass Winery, I gotta give this place 5 stars! We went a few weeks ago, during memorial day weekend, and had a great time. It was our first stop of the weekend, and we went there for lunch. As expected the cafe was quite good, and the food was all tasty. The wine went very well with it, and it was great to sit down, do a tasting and have a meal. I had the short ribs that were cooked very well and a good size. The wine was all really good, but it is odd that most of their bottles are screw tops? The VERY high end cab was a cork, but I think everything else had the screw. That made it quite easy to drink in the jacuzzi in the evening though. This is a very popular winery with a lot of activities. I think that they have a very large wine club too. The wine club deal is 20% off wine and food at the restaurant, that I thought was pretty great. Looking forward to remaining a member for a while and drinking more Cass wine! Very rustic atmosphere and has vibes of historic paso robles. I really enjoyed it!

Yelp
Favorite white wine: 2024 Marsanne (a pear note white whine, extremely smooth, soft not a crisp or citrus taste to it. It's light, smooth, blended, and pure in tasting. Almost like a a gentle kiss, perfect when lightly chilled. This was my favorite at Cass but because other wines at wineries were slightly more unique I'd get bottles from the other wineries). * Wild Game Board ($33, large, serves 5+) * the elk was the best as the lightly gamey meat was paired with a slight tinge of sweetness * the second best was the lamb * the third best was the rabbit and yet it was still so delicious Overall all great sausages but when all put together it was hard to distinguish them apart especially when paired with such strong flavored toppings like the goat cheese, hot mustard and the absolute delicious apple butter which was one of my top favorites. This was for sure a crowd favorite but not necessarily anything super unique or a must get. * the pizza is the way to go here. Beautiful crust and great flavor combos as they have a proper outdoor pizza oven & chimney. The Figgy Pig was my favorite. * The Estate bread was hard and dry I wouldn't get again. It was more like a multi grain bread. * the burger was nice but meat patty was slightly overcooked. * the chips were quite hard and crunchy. A bit too hard for me but the rest of the table liked it. The aioli was nice but not a must need for the table. ------ Prices were very reasonable and probably on the cheaper side of Paso Robles wineries. This winery is also located on the other side of all the other wineries in case you were considering winery hopping. The ambiance is a bit more rustic and outdoorsy. A good mix of shade and sun. Tesla Charger & App EvoGo Charger available. Level 1 charging.

Yelp
Of course Cassie had to come visit Cass Winery! I enjoyed the area this winery is set in, and it looks like they have some fun events that go on sometimes, too. Cute set back area that's very beautiful and peaceful. Their food looked so good, and I enjoyed the wine tasting. We got a Margarita pizza that to be honest, could've been a bit hotter (cheese didn't seem fully melted), but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The short rib sliders also didn't quite live up to my expectations - I didn't taste any horseradish which was a big reason we ordered them - but they still hit the spot for a hungry gal. Our service was very good and attentive, and the outdoor space is super nice. I enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back to try more food and give it another chance!

Yelp
Excellent service during our wine tasting and lunch at the winery. Beautiful grounds to explore we will definitely be back and look into staying in the Geneseo Inn. Delicious wines a couple favorite were the Viognier, Rose and Grenache. Sliders, carpaccio, bbq chicken pizza were all great as well

Yelp
5 stars deserved, pizza was probably one of the best I've had, service, ambiance, and wine were great.

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Generous tasting. Generous pours and also introduced me to two additional wines not on the tasting list. Also for every two bottles purchased, it waives a tasting fee. Bread Flight - This sounded so good. Our entire family said we have to get this. Well I think we got our hopes TOO high because I can not recommend it. It was not bad, but I will not need to ever get it again. And we love bread, probably a little too much. Figgy Piggy Pizza - My wife and daughter both really liked this. I liked it except the goat cheese on top threw off the flavors for me. And I eat a lot of cheese. Overall, the pizza was good. They also have tours, 3 wheel tours, etc. Atmosphere - This winery is off the beaten path. Elevation 900 ft. 145 Acres. 12 varieties. Indoor/outdoor space. Plenty of room for events. Private rooms available, etc. Love the huge pizza oven, see all my pictures. They even have a Cass Garden of herbs. Farm to table. Free wifi, thanks as T-Mobile does NOT work out here. Cool art throughout. Limited parking, but not an issue for us on an early Thursday afternoon. Clean bathrooms. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 5pm. Reservations recommended, but not needed. Service - Trevor was very professional and personable. See generous tasting above. Never felt rushed, we were actually here for like 3 hours relaxing and enjoying life. My daughter wanted to go to another winery, so again Trevor did me a favor as I probably should not drink more after the generous 7 tastings. Trevor gets the credit for this 5 star review. Our hostess was also welcoming. Price - $135, which also includes two bottles of wine. Expensive, but that is the cost of wineries. Tasting fee $25, and bottles start at $32. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since purchasing this property in 2000 and in 2005 opening your doors to the public. Can I suggest updating your Yelp page under "From the Business," prices and some information are outdated.

Yelp
Great wine with servers that have a passion for serving and describing it. The food was just as amazing. On a hot post summer day, the burrata and carpaccio were the fresh bites I needed. the burrata was by far my favorite but the tomatoes were so juicy and sweet, topped off with a fresh pesto, just divine. Washed it all down with a crisp glass of rosé, light, not sweet and slight hint of fruit, just delightful. The grounds in September aren't as green because it's starting to get to harvest season and the rolling hills are dry dry dry. It's still great to visit though. Love the wines and the food.

Yelp
Cass was probably the most surprising winery visit I've had on my recent Paso trips. I see their bougie inn all over social media, so I was expecting the winery/tasting room to be very upscale, but it was actually quite low key and farmy. Despite its low key appearance, the place was absolutely packed and full of noise and energy, so not a very relaxed environment. We had a reservation to do lunch and wine tasting, as their lunch was recommended to us by a few people. We opted to sit inside since it was a chilly afternoon, they did have covered seating with heaters outside though if you do stay out. We were sat in a barrel room, which was quite the delight as it made it feel more intimate. The immediate tasting room, as well as outside was pretty packed in and loud. We each did a flight and ordered two items from the menu to share. Wines came out 1 at a time and started before we ate, but progressed through the meal. To eat we ordered the crab cakes which were served as a salad and the Harissa lamb pizza. Both food items were fine but could've used a bit more flavor. We ended up keeping the lemon from the crab cakes and putting it on the pizza which helped brighten it up and add an extra element to the pie. The food came out super fast and our winetender/server didn't let us ever go too long with an empty glass. He was also very chill with a low key surfer vibe. We didn't get a lot of wine education, but he still did throw a little in there. These weren't our favorite wines of the trip, but we still did like one enough to go home with a bottle of it. This wasn't personally my favorite wine tasting experience as I enjoy a tasting that's on the more intimate side, but it is a good option if you have a big group, want lunch with your wine, and like a lively atmosphere.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed in the geneseo inn and decided to make our way down to the winery after check out. One of the perks of staying at the inn is free tastings at the winery. To be honest, I didn't love the wine but my palette is more in line with big and bold reds. The winery has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food menu looked delicious and it was very difficult to resist the wood fired pizzas being made right next to us. Next time I visit I'll certainly be trying the food. The service was a bit odd if I am being honest. Our host was very talkative but opinionated. When we mentioned other places we had visited during our trip or the types of wines we liked he always circled back to how Cass makes it better. Cass winery was super convenient for us to visit because we were staying at the Inn but if you are traveling from in town it's a bit off the beaten path so keep that in mind when planning your visit here.

Yelp
Stopped by for a tasting and pizza. Nice property with an outside pizza oven and heated patio. Service was OK (one of our pizzas came out way too late). The wines were good. They didn't blow me away which is why I didn't purchase any bottles. The pizzas were spectacular! They have a couple traditional and some "different" options, like chicken satay pizza. They were all good, but the sausage pepperoni was my favorite.

Yelp
Went here with a reservation with a group of friends. We went with the wine tasting and food. The winery itself was beautiful, feels very rustic. They had plenty of sitting inside and outside the winery overlooking the vineyards. Our reservation had us seated in one of the rooms. We went through the wine tasting first. To me nothing really stood out. I think maybe I liked the cab I got at the end. Then we got the food menu. The menu was so small that I didn't really like anything but I was starving so I just picked the dip sandwich. And my meal was okay. Nothing spectacular and nothing to brag about either. I asked my other friends and they didn't care for what they ordered either. Then desserts for our friends that were celebrating birthdays. They got a cheesecake and chocolate dessert. I wasn't a fan but some of my friends did say they liked the cheesecake. Overall I think I would go back for wine but not for food. The lady that helped us was nice and informative.

Yelp
We had an exceptional experience here on Easter Sunday, the pizza - the figgy piggy was delicious I got the goat cheese on the side & crust was perfect. We opted for a bottle of rosé and we're not disappointed the view of the vineyard was fantastic. Another plus was they are so dog friendly! They brought my girl out a fresh bowl of water and a treat. We had a good time here, would recommend for a chill vibe with stunning views. Make sure to make reservations it got busy after noon

Yelp
You would never find it. East of the 101 on Hwy 46 a few miles, then, right on a small 2 lane country road about 4 miles. Tons of open land, some vineyards, then boom -- you find it. A lovely setting, my lady and I sat outdoors on the patio for lunch. With a view of the vineyard and a small fountain, it was very relaxing. I had a 2 for 1 tasting coupon, so we got that, and 2 mixed salads and a Black Truffle + Mushroom pizza. All the ingredients for a yummy lunch. * The mixed salad [$8, 4.5 stars] had a delicious dressing, orange & pomegranate. Yummy. * The pizza [$23, 4.5 stars], oh the cheese, was so good. Loved the crust. * The wines, of the 5, I only loved one. So the jury is kinda out for now. All in all, a lovely experience with a very nice server/educator.

Yelp
So I went to this wine bar that had the Cass viognier and I was so in love with it that on a recent trip to Paso Robles I had to stop by! The Winery is slightly off the main area. Surrounds but tons of land and very beautiful. We did the tasting plus lunch and also ordered the viognier since they only make limited bottles per season and don't sell glasses separately. The pizza was made fresh in a pizza oven outside. We got the mozzarella with basil. So yummy! There were 3 of us and we got 2 to share and it was perfect! Our server and wine guide was super sweet and helpful. Such a nice and calming energy. We did the tasting and the wines were all pretty good. Mostly reds pm the tasting and one of the reds they serve slightly cooler when the weather is warmer which was cool. But the start of the show was absolutely the bottle of the viognier! It's legitimately everything I've ever wanted in a white wine. Smells fruity and light while the flavor is fruity and crisp. I got 6 bottles to bring home and at $38 it such a good deal. Since they only make a limited amount of bottles it was worth it! The bottle is screw top so great for gifts, the beach, dinner parties, or just a glass for yourself. They have a chicken coop and the roosters were so chatty it was fun. They have a cute little garden. You can also take a little sidecar tour of the winery. Highly recommend stopping here for the viognier and beautiful views with calming atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Cass winery was great ! We had a party of 11 for lunch and a wine tasting. The food was great. I had The Tri tip sandwich and was very good. They also have an outdoor pizza oven, something I will have to try next time. The wine was very good and the grounds are beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. This is a good pick for your wine tasting adventures.

Yelp
First off, Cass had the best wines of any I sampled in Paso Robles IMHO. I enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends (I ordered the Moroccan stew with shrimp and it was fabulous!!). I loved being able to enjoy the tastings with lunch. Service was exceptional, and we never had an empty glass ;). The 2021Cab and the Mourvèdre were our favorites and we walked out with quite a bit of yummy wine in anticipation of the holidays! The grounds are beautiful and they are pet friendly. CHEERS!

Yelp
Upscale lunch at moderate price point. Patio and indoor seating with option to combine with wine tasting. Pizza oven.

Yelp
Food doesn't get any fresher than this. Everything we've had here is just delicious. Great wine too. Service a little slow at times but at least you can pass the time enjoying the views.

Yelp
Consistently great wine, food and service & the new menu with the ahi & watermelon salad is a true summer taste treat.

Yelp
Outstanding food & service! Highly recommend Jillian who was our server/hostess. She was very helpful & friendly & most importantly she wasn't pushy. LOVED the margarita pizza; tasted just like I've/we've had in Italy. Cass winery is the perfect place to spend the day or a weekend. In addition to wine tastings, you can take a tour around the property conducted by Three wheel tours which is a different company & not associated with Cass. You can play bocce ball or corn hole or just relax enjoying your wine & the beautiful scenery!
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Super chill location and friendly staff. There is a pizza oven outside on the patio if you fancy freshly fired pizzas. We did not get a chance to try it, but they do offer gluten free crust when I asked. We had the HOUSE CHIPS topped with black truffle salt with a side of basil aioli. The basil aioli was bomb dot com...highly recommend. Wines were good. They offer an array from white, rose, reds, white and red desserts wines. The white dessert was a Late Harvest Roussanne, the red dessert was Syrah. Brought my mom on this trip, and she loves dessert wines, so really that's what I ventured out for this time around. The service is great and they seem overall accommodating. Seems good for groups as well. Come for just food, a tasting, a glass, or a bottle!

Yelp
I had such a good time at this winery. The owners are really cool people and they're just walking around mingling and chatting with the customers. We happened to be here on a night they stayed open a bit later and we had an amazing dinner. The caprese salad was one of the best I've ever had anywhere. The pizza was also delicious! The staff was all so friendly and welcoming and the property itself is really nice! They have several different activities and tours and even a modern looking inn on the property. All of this was just a bonus because the main star - their wine - was also fantastic. We took 6-7 bottles home and we will definitely be back the next time we're in Paso.

Yelp
In the past 2 months, I've visited Cass twice. The first time, I came with my vegan friend. The server was so helpful in figuring out how to adjust menu items to suit us. The 2nd time, I went with my colleague for a travel day lunch. It was Super Bowl Sunday. Both times, the wines were fantastic and every time I drink this wine, I feel great the next day. The wines here are moderately priced, but the quality is great. Pizza is also great and they have gluten free crusts. My favorite salad is the fallow harvest salad with the curried veggies. If you like a salad that packs in a lot of hearty flavor even without meat and cheese, this is the one. I buy so many bottles every time I visit. They have a cab sauv that is light and refreshing. It's so nice in a sunny day.

Yelp
If you want a different experience than the typical wine tasting you need to try Cass Winery. When you get there you have the option of dining inside or outside. The ambience is charming and views are both relaxing and beautiful with the vineyards surrounding you. I wished I would have taken a few more pictures. Cody gave us great service, we enjoyed hearing about each wine. He clearly knows his stuff. They have a nice selection on their menu. We enjoyed their Moroccan stew, homemade chips with a basil aioli dip, figgy piggy wood brick pizza, and a Cesar salad. The area that really sets Cass apart from other wineries are their activities! I don't know many wineries that have archery, axe throwing, cooking classes, horse back riding, carriage rides, painting class, wine classes, helicopter rides... too many to list on this review. If we would have know we would have stayed longer. So before you make a reservation, check out their website before hand. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Very pleasant patio, good service but a small menu. My wife's burger was very good Andy crab cakes were acceptable. The voignier and red blend we ordered were good. Need another visit to truly rate it.

Yelp
Another spot on the Paso Robles wine tour that is def a spot to stop, eat, and wine taste. Some amazing red, whites, and rosés that actually surprised me compared to other wineries. The outdoor seating area is so nice while next to the vineyard. The food was actually very good. Great mix of flavors and textures that played well with their wines. The food is made with love and they understand how wine, food, and family work in harmony. Trevor our server and wine specialist treat us well and gave us a great tour of the wines of their list. I would recommend if you're in Paso Robles, want to stop for a bite and a tour of some wonderful wines. ;)
google avatar

Leo B.

Yelp
Cass is one of our favorite stops as it has good wine, good food for lunch and you can hike around the vineyard and see their hotel and event center up the hill. The wines are understated and flavorful. I like their Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache, Rose and Mourvèdre quite a bit. The food for lunch was very nice- wood fire pizza with interesting topping choices, like fig, feta, prosciutto and black truffle mushrooms and Cabrese salad. The outside seating gives views of their garden and vineyards and groups seatings under the oaks. Service is attentive and helpful when trying pair wines and food. Great short trip to east Paso areas. Will keep coming back!

Yelp
We met friends here to enjoy their "Dude Ranch" experience. What a phenomenal experience! We stayed two nights there, and since their boutique hotel was fully booked for the event, we stayed in their Farm House in the back of the property. What a exquisite place to stay. The Farmhouse was rustic, comfortable, roomy and quite picturesque. We even brought along our dog, who enjoyed the backyard with neighboring donkeys, goats, cattle and llamas. The first day, we had a lovely afternoon reception with canapes and wine, of course. This reception was made complete by the presence of owner Steve Cass. We had time to freshen up before dinner which was very nice and really very top notch. there were roughly 10 couples taking part in the event which was awesome because we all made fast friends. The Chef came out at every meal and explained the menu, along with interesting stories to explain his inspiration all without pretension. All of the fresh produce was grown right there in Chef's garden. Amazing. Breakfast the next day was pre order with a wide variety to suit everyone's preferences. Then it was off to harvest grapes, so fun! Afterwards we were treated to a tour of the winemaking rooms with walking tutorials. Next, we were in a competition to stomp grapes in barrels like Lucy Ricardo! The winner was who could stomp, and fill their bottle first won a beautiful bottle of reserve wine, fortunately our friends won (because Mike wears a size 15 shoe, let's just say he made quick work of those grapes!) and that was great! We had a cooking demo with the dear, lovely Chef while enjoying more wine, then a delicious lunch made with some of the food Chef had demonstrated. We then had a sorta class on wine tasting with-you guessed it- more wine. We then had a recess to freshen up before our final formal dinner. This was a most amazing meal at a very impressive table. Our entertainment was a piano serenade provided by the delightful wife of Steve Cass, Mrs. Cass who was a beautiful pianist and a charming dinner companion. In the morning, a wonderful breakfast again, then a lesson on wine making. Before making our departure we were given a wine making kit, along with a large bucket of grapes to make wine with, and a complimentary case of wines. What a great experience that none of us will ever forget. Thank you Cass Winery. You are truly a Class Act (Cass Act)

Yelp
Lunch was delicious here! Blackened chicken sandwich with house chips for one person and I had shredded chicken salad! Wow, fresh food and nicely presented...kudos to the chef! We did a wine tasting with our lunch... a variety of wines, info per wine presented by our waiter. Enjoyed all on their outdoor patio. We are staying the night at their Geneseo Inn's Gaia pod ( converted storage containers) quite the boutique B&B ... a place to celebrate special times. This is our third visit in 8 years, so truly special!

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about the food here. This time around we had the Tri-Tip Sando and the Figgy Piggy pizza - both were amazing! I recommend ordering both and splitting each dish with another person. The savory (sando) with the sweet (pizza) was a good mix. As far as the tasting, I preferred the white wines vs. the reds. Service was good and you can't go wrong at the outdoor patio. Great place.

Yelp
We did not try the wines, but stopped for lunch at the recommendation of a previous winery. Even on a Tuesday, the patio was buzzing with people. There is a brick oven in the corner of the patio so you can watch your pizzas going in and coming out. Mine was scrumptious with a beautiful thin, but slightly chewy inside and crisp outside, crust. The cheese and toppings hit just right too. It was a comfortable patio with plenty of shade and a view of the vineyards. Well worth the stop and the food was out relatively quick.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch. I was amazed at how many fun activities and classes this winery offers. I will definite back to try the Somme or wine blending classes. I had the crab cakes which were very tasty. They came out hot and had a good amount of crab without much filler but still stayed together! The meat classic pizza was so good. We finished it all. Their GSMP blend Rocking one 2020 was right in my wheelhouse. We will be back.

Yelp
On the last day of my bachelor party, the groom's crew made our way to Paso Robles for a wine tasting, and Cass was a great choice for food and wine! It was a summer day, and we sat outside by the pizza stove, under some umbrellas, so it was a little warm, but I was happy that they could fit the seven of us in via reservation. Almost all of us got the tasting flight, which was $25 or waived with a two-bottle purchase. All of the wines were quite nice, with the favorite being their red blend of a GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre) called Rockin' One Red. A little more on the darker side, and very easy to drink - I liked it so much, I got two bottles to bring back to my dad and then-fiancee. I was also super impressed with the food. We started with truffle chips (delicious and crispy!) and two wood fired pizzas - margherita and figgy piggy. The figgy piggy was fantastic. Creative combination of prosciutto, goat cheese, fig, and arugula, and the pizza was cooked perfectly. I probably liked the pizza as much as the wine! The service and the other patrons here were kind as well - a couple next to me, as well as the staff, congratulated me on my nuptials, which was very nice!

Yelp
Cass Winery is one of the best wineries located just a few hours from Los Angeles and in the heart of Paso Robles. We love coming here as it's hidden off the main road, a gorgeous drive through the rolling hills and no need to leave. Whether you want to get away for the weekend or just the night, stay here, you will not be disappointed. They have the best accommodations on site with sunset views and a fire pit in the evening. The restaurant here is outstanding, everything we ordered was delicious and definitely purchase a bottle or two of wine to go. Outside seating is gorgeous with views of the vineyard and the animals they have on the property. They grow some fresh vegetables and have an amazing pizza oven outside that will deliver some of the best pizza you have ever had. Not joking! You can also book a tour in advance through Third Wheel Tours to take a ride throughout the vineyard and beyond. We did it and loved every minute. Before you leave don't forget to share a kiss under the massive mistletoe tree. We love Cass winery and the service can't be beat. Thank you Linden for adding to our exceptional experience! Cheers!

Yelp
We checked out Cass Winery for the first time and the food is mind-blowingly good! We had lunch and wine-tasting at the same time but all I could remember was how good the food is which overwrites our wine-tasting experience. The pizza is cooked right outside with a huge pizza oven. And the crab cakes? Probably the best I've ever had. The patio area is really nice, and they've got a huge instagrammable shot under a huge big tree just next to the chickens and ducks pen which adds to the vibe. Great spot for amazing food, great wine, and some cute farm animals.

Yelp
We had such a great time at Cass Winery this past weekend. Our server, Jillian, was so friendly and informative during our tasting experience. You are very lucky to have her on your staff. The wine was wonderful and the pizza was amazing!! I cannot wait to come back to Cass on our next trip up to Paso! I also would recommend scheduling the side car tour to see the entire property after your tasting. Cheers!!

Yelp
Cass winery is a bit off the beaten path which is quite nice if you're looking for a quieter and more laid back experience. We visited mid-week around 11 am and we were one of less than a handful of guests there. The weather was nice so we were able to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor area. Service was quick and efficient and pours were generous. The food looked delicious and most tables seemed to order the caprese salad but we had JUST finished a large breakfast at the Geneseo Inn so didn't have a large enough appetite to eat at the time. I'd be interested in returning for lunch for sure. Judging wine is so subjective so I won't go into much detail there but I'll share that their style doesn't suit what I typically look for. I lean towards bigger and bolder reds, with a lot of depth and structure to them and the wines I sampled here were on the lighter and more fruit driven side. I do enjoy Rhône style wines but there was something here that made each red wine I sampled taste too young. The "Rockin TED" was the exception which I did find to have the flavor profile I typically enjoy more. I do think pairing these wines with food would go a long way in improving the overall experience so that's a tip for anyone visiting who has the appetite to do so!

Yelp
Excellent boutique winery with beautiful indoor and outdoor seating. Great wines. $25 tasting for 5 pours. The wines are expensive though. The food including the fresh woodfired pizza is excellent. Good friendly service.

Yelp
Amazing food, beautiful surroundings, and most importantly, EXCELLENT wines! This particular winery was highly recommended by several people, and they didn't disappoint. Mason was our server and just absolutely on point with everything. Our reservation was at noon on a Sunday, so they were extremely busy. That had no impact on the level of service we received. If you are looking for a nice place for lunch and a tasting, you should try to include this as one of your stops during your next trip to Paso Robles.

Yelp
Fun winery to visit. Did the sidecar tour which we really enjoyed. Had a tasting and lunch after that.

Yelp
Cass came highly recommended by folks in a wine fanatics group and I can see why! We haven't visited many wineries on the side of Paso Cass is in, but the drive was easy and scenic. Very easy to find. Food: This was our lunch stop. We ordered the wild boar sausage board, chips, figgy piggy pizza, scallops and the tenderloin. All were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with the presentation, freshness and flavor. Lots of other options we want to try on our next trip. Service: Started off great, but a loud, large group came in which slowed down the end of our experience. We had to close out quick and place a bottle order to go as we were coming up to 2 hours there and had another tasting down the road. Our pourer was super nice though brought another taste out not on the menu while we waited for her to come back. Ambiance: Loved the on site Tesla charging. The charging level is slow, but always a nice amenity. We loved the outdoor space where we could sit in the sun, but then have an umbrella opened when it warmed up. Love seeing the vines (can't wait to go back when in season) and being able to stretch with a walk around their small garden. Bonus points for how dog friendly Cass is. It's the first place that I've seen dogs be welcomed inside and outside.
