Cassia - SilverKris

"Nestled within the lush Capella Singapore on Sentosa, the longstanding Chinese restaurant continues to evolve under the guidance of new chef, Ben Wong. The dedicated chef, who has amassed 30 years of experience at some of the region’s best, shapes every dish with meticulous care and balance. His signature double-boiled sakura chicken soup with conch, fish maw and dendrobium is double-boiled for six hours – a time-intensive labour that shows in the deep, nourishing broth. Another highlight is the steamed leopard coral grouper, served with the chef’s signature yellow chilli sauce. Prized for its delicate taste and springy texture, it’s a masterclass in technique and finesse, accentuated by a light punch of preserved chilli. If you’re complementing the meal with tea, and you should, try the white peony and melon tea, served in beautifully textured ceramic. The dining room, designed by the famed André Fu, blends modern chinoiserie with understated elegance, offering a polished setting for special occasions." - Ben Chin

consistent quality food over the last 3 years across dimsum and mains. truffle mushroom crystal dumpling is aromatic, smooth with playful textures; char siew is impeccably soft and juicy with a nice char; XO carrot cake is fragrant, crispy on the outside and pillowy soft in centre; mud crab vermicelli has great range of textures through the use of ingredients (smooth noodles, soft crab, crunchy bean sprouts, crispy roe). look forward to visiting again!

Neatly tucked away within Capella Singapore in Sentosa, this is a Cantonese restaurant to dine at when one wants to get away from the noise of the city. The service is unrushed, in classy, quiet ambience. I have been to this restaurant twice to date, during each of my staycations with Capella Singapore. My most recent visit was even more impressive than the one about two years ago, exemplifying the restaurant’s commitment to improving and achieving culinary excellence. My dinner companion enjoyed the experience too. Make reservations to avoid disappointment.

Cantonese restaurant with good ambience and welcoming staff. The menu is not extensive, but the selections are well curated and the taste is solid. There is also a private room that accommodates around ten to twelve guests. Would definitely return.

Back at Cassia, Capella for my second visit — and it’s just as incredible as I remembered. The restaurant is absolutely stunning, with a calm, luxurious (atas) vibe. Service is top-tier. A special shoutout to Alvin, who was warm, professional, and took the time to explain each dish to us in detail. You can tell the team here truly cares about delivering an experience, not just a meal. Dim sum here are absolute works of art: • Rock Lobster Dumpling: topped with caviar and gold foil — bougie and brilliant. • Abalone Siew Mai: rich and juicy with perfect texture. • Charcoal Iberico Pork Buns with Truffle: soft, smoky, and packed with flavour. • XO Carrot Cake: crispy crust with flavourful moist centre - super addictive. • Har Gao with Truffles: classic with a luxe upgrade. They also have an extensive Chinese tea menu. Also worth mentioning — Cassia has a pet-friendly outdoor area! You can bring your furbaby and dine at the outdoor terrace, an information that we found out from the manager, Bryan, during our visit. Plus, they offer complimentary parking for diners, which is a great perk! I came back because my first visit left such a strong impression, and this second time just confirmed it: Cassia is a gem that keeps delivering on quality, service, and vibes. Already planning visit number three!

Thanks Lavin for your warm service. The dim sum in the restaurant is good, especially the vegetarian dim sum. I hope the chef can develop more good vegetarian dim sum. The sofa cushions in the restaurant are uncomfortable to sit on; they are too soft and you will sink into them.

I’ve been to cassia a few times and it’s my favourite restaurant in Singapore!! It’s definitely a hidden gem! All my friends love it too 🫶🏻 I didn’t take any pictures but the 30 year old pu er is really good too! The staff are really sweet as well. I would even say the mango pomelo sago and the duck fried rice is the best in the whole world!! I usually hate duck but cassia makes it great. The only thing I didn’t really enjoy is the charcoal pork truffle bun because I don’t like the way the truffle tastes with the chasiu 😅 the combination of both strong flavours kinda tastes weird together (not in the pictures) but truffle crystal dumpling is great! I enjoy the chasiu in the rice rolls more than the standalone one 🤣 If you have any occasions or you’re nearby you should definitely eat here!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Cassia. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our host, Alvin, made us feel truly welcomed and went above and beyond to assist us with our order. His recommendations were spot-on and elevated our entire meal. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was exceptionally well-prepared and beautifully presented. Thank you to Alvin and the amazing service staff for making our visit so memorable.

Had a wonderful time at Cassia. The food is divine with many great dishes. In particular we loved the crispy noodles. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful and even surprised us with a dessert to celebrate our special occasion. The vibe of the restaurant is very peaceful and the decor is a very trendy modern Chinese look. Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants in Singapore.
