We have been living in Ireland since the end of 2019 and went back to Cassidy's the day before yesterday after it reopened and had a pizza. It was the most delicious pizza we have had since we moved to Ireland. It was super tasty and we will definitely be back. The service is also super nice and friendly and the pub itself is really beautiful.

Try the gourmet steak burger with blue cheese. I wanted to lick the plate when I was finished it, but my friend told me that's inappropriate. The fries are good too, basically perfect. Furthermore, the pub has great service. Even though they were closing, they didn't mind us staying while they were done cleaning up. I was very satisfied and would definitely eat there again if I had another night in The Burren.

What a lovely 200 Yr old (in the same family) pub to have stumbled upon on a grey and drizzly day! The fire was lit and cozy and the ladies were kind, friendly and helpful. We ordered burgers which came with generous servings of chips and a really nice salad! I was so full and the burger was amazing! My husband ordered dessert: death by chocolate brownie (of which I stole a generous amount) and it was delicious. Our friend ordered a mango ice cream and it was very refreshing (I tasted it too :) ) the view of the Burren was great even though it was raining. There was outdid seating with views as well which I imagine are lovely in a sunny day. We will be back for certain!

The owners Michelle and Robert made you feel like family. The food was delicious. Friday nights people bring their instruments and just play. Highly recommend.

THE wedding venue in the West of Ireland for an intimate event hosted by a professional family run team delivering the best of Irish produce, taste and the hospitality that Ireland is known for. We had our wedding in August 2021 in Cassidys, Co. Clare with 90 guests. Approachable, professional, experienced and listeners to the customers ideas, Michelle, Robert and the entire Cassidys team made every minute of our wedding an unforgettable experience. Michelle was on hand to sound board ideas and we were safe in the knowledge that the advice comes from years of successful business in hospitality. Cassidy’s is a name and viewpoint we trust. The team have eye for detail and know what works. Food served in buffet style was a major hit with our guests, allowing them to try and experience a range of locally sourced fresh produce. People loved this style. Michelle helped us pair wines to the menu and really helped us every step of the way. Different wedding guests have individually commented on their favourite dish of the day at our wedding…crab claws, sushi, the beef, the fish, the broccoli cashew nut roast…there was something delicious for every taste bud! Never left a glass empty and no guest left wanting. Covid restrictions brought its obvious challenges to our special day. Cassidys worked with us to ensure our day was special while also safe for our guests. The Burren backdrop, a unique and secluded location for a private event and a very high standard of food and drinks, Cassidys delivered everything we could have looked for in our wedding reception. Working with a team like this made us feel very assured in the lead up to our big day. They knew our vision and delivered beyond our expectations. We had so much fun and I think everyone did. Cassidy’s made it! While the sun didn’t stay out long enough to enjoy what the backdrop has to offer, simply view images to see how amazing this setting is. We never once had to look over our shoulder to see if something could be done. The team were so impressive in their intuition and attentive nature to run a great wedding. We plan to celebrate our 1st and future wedding anniversary’s in Cassidys to relive our special day made so memorable by this gem in the West of Ireland. We wish Amy and the team continued success in their future wedding events and ventures. It goes without saying that we would highly recommend Cassidy’s to any couple looking for a unique wedding reception venue. Thank you for everything, Roisin & Will.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Amazing service, wonderful food and spectacular views. My family of 8 arrived late with little ones. It was the best find in Ireland in the past 10 days.

The most amazing, cheery and helpful staff I've met on a pub so far! Couple that with a superb hamburguer made with local meat, so simple and yet so delicious, and you've got a recipe for success! Mandatory stop if you are anywhere around here!

Yelp
I couldn't wait to get home and review this place. So many great things to say about this restaurant, and I feel like it wouldn't be fair to them to leave any of it out. First off, I called this place and asked if they could accommodate a party of 26... in 15 minutes. We hadn't planned on having so many people out sight-seeing with us that day and had already been turned down (understandably) by a restaurant a few minutes away from them. We were THRILLED when they said they could accommodate us. Little did we know how great that lunch would be. Secondly, WOW to that view! This place has a beautiful view of the Burren. There was outdoor seating but with it raining off and on, we decided to sit inside. Still, the views from the windows were gorgeous. Thirdly, food was prompt and soooo delish. Every single person in our party LOVED their food. Every appetizer, every drink, every meal = perfect. Fourth, they had 2 waiters and the owner there taking care of all their other tables AND our large party and we NEVER felt in need of anything. And we could tell they were still keeping up with all their other tables. Very impressive on such a small staff. Fifth, they brought us desserts in celebration of our upcoming wedding (we were in Ireland for our destination wedding) and expressed their congratulations. They asked us how we were liking Ireland, how happy they were for us and gave us tips on must-see spots. This was the owner! Sixth, the owner gave us directions on a less seen route through the Burren. He went outside with my fiance and gave him turn by turn directions and landmarks to look out for. Beyond helpful! We were a rowdy and loud crowd (lots of laughing and merriment) and they made us feel right at home. It was our favorite meal the entire time we were in Ireland, and days later I still had family members talking about how great that restaurant was and what wonderful memories we made there. That is truly magical when you can make everyone feel as if a meal at a restaurant created some of the best memories of a vacation.

Yelp
Beautiful historic building and breathtaking views from dining room. Very quaint and lovely ambience. Nice menu of options. The salad was fresh and delicious. However, when we were there for lunch it was understaffed with very slow service. This is a great spot for a leisurely meal in a beautiful spot, but not a good choice if you are in a rush.

Yelp
Great food --- especially on a cold, rainy day --- and absolutely amazing seisiún music. After trying two handfuls of pubs in Dingle and Killarney, and finding bored buskers covering the Macarena, I finally hit the seisiún (session) music jackpot at Cassidy's. Musicians wandered in and out, handed the concertina player's baby to whoever was sitting out a tune, and followed the wiry old bodhran player's lead. (Don't drown out the playing with football talk, he'll say something about it.) We had a rainy lunch, a mellow dinner here, a little music and some alcohol that night, and then lunch to go the next day; all hit the spot. Even if there were other options in Carran (which there essentially aren't), it'd be hard to drag me away.

Yelp
Delicious, affordable food, open til late (9pm in the middle of nowhere in Ireland is unheard of!), and with a GORGEOUS view of Irish greenery! What a keeper! My family ordered a pizza, a pint of guinness, and a large seafood dish. There was live music, which isn't surprising given that it's Ireland. The prices were reasonable, food super fresh (it's IRELAND after all!), and with great service. Honestly even had the food been terrible, I would have at least given this place three stars for being open and accommodating in the middle of nowhere. But, my family had a lovely dining experience. Great food, great people, great music, great view. What more can you ask for? This isn't a restaurant that you go seek out because it's quite remote, but in the case that you're near the area and in need of food-- definitely pay a visit to Cassidys.

Yelp
Great food. We were not expecting much, being out in the middle of nowhere. It was great. The chicken casserole (chicken pot pie if you are American) was amazing and had the lightest puff pastry crust imaginable. My son ordered the pizza (why?) but it was also delicious. Great stopover for lunch.
