Had our second visit to CAST wines Saturday July 13. It's a beautiful winery that sits above the valley floor at the North end of Dry Creek. Had another great and relaxed experience with our host, Holly. We signed up as members on this occasion.

Ruby is a fantastic host and took good care of me on the wine tasting 🍇🍷🕺Beautiful location!! ❤️

Google
By far our favorite experience in Dry Creek! We visited on a cold and misty January Wednesday late morning for a very special birthday. We were greeted by Jacob with a saber and a bottle of sparkling. He taught the birthday girl to saber a bottle and we relaxed into a beautiful tasting. We sat in the Library while Jacob led our tasting with ample space for us to visit. We enjoyed our wines with a charcuterie board and then toured the grounds with Jacob. The visit was a perfect blend of tasting, touring, and education. And we were visited bu Duke, the cutest and friendliest winery dog. I can imagine it gets very busy at the height of season however our quiet visit was just what we wanted! Thanks Jacob!

Google
What an amazing experience. Alicia was beyond amazing and the wine was fabulous. On our 5-day vacation we started two of our days just with a sparkling glass of wine in the view. Definitely worth checking out!!

Good wine, beautiful outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Although I forgot to take some pictures of the wine, which is why we were here the first place, the scenery is great. We had couple bottles of bubbles, really great for the warm day.

My husband and I have been coming to Cast since 2019. It has consistently been our favorite winery in Sonoma. The wines are amazing (their winemaker is awesome), the property is spectacular and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. A few standouts are the sauvignon blanc, the sparkling rose, the chardonnay and the Invocation blend. The owners take the time to talk to their guests and the love they have for the place certainly shows. We have turned several friends onto Cast and expect we'll continue to. Don't miss Cast on your Geyserville/Sonoma trip. I promise you won't regret it.

Google
Thank you Cast for being part of the Passport Weekend! We really enjoyed all your wines and amazing views. We enjoyed your sparkling rose so much we had to buy a bottle!

Google
My friends and I had an incredible time at Cast! Alicia made us feel so welcome. We were a group of 11 and they were very accommodating. Loved the chardonnay and the pinot noir. Thank you Cast for a wonderful time :)

Yelp
Had an incredible experience at Cast! We had a reservation but it wasn't too busy so our experience was very personalized and we got to really enjoy the beautiful grounds. It is definitely a great stop for the afternoon to soak in the area beauty and try their delicious wines!

Yelp
Spent a divine afternoon at CAST Wines last month. Holly treated us like favored friends. She was so attentive and knowledgeable. Delicious reds, whites and my favorite - sparkling! We'll be back. #saber #bubbly

Yelp
This winery checked all our boxes. The hospitality was terrific, the wines were great and it was absolutely beautiful! It was a wonderful experience. I can definitely recommend you visit!

Yelp
We got here on our Roadtrip pretty early and so we were the only people there which was amazing! The staff was very very accommodating and sweet and she made the experience all the better! We did a flight paired with food and it was the best! Love love loved my experience and cannot wait to return with friends and family! Also the wine was very yummy! It had me drinking and enjoying wine types I typically don't like! Highly recommend!

Jacob S.

Yelp
We came here after being turned away from another winery, for not being family-friendly, That was the best thing that could've happened. This was my family's favorite winery on our vacation to California, my parents even signed up for the wine club and just got their first delivery over the weekend! Great view. Great wine. Great Sign (you owe them another bottle of wine)

Yelp
Great wine and beautiful view! We had a fabulous time at CAST wines. The view is lovely and every wine included in our tasting was enjoyable. A charcuterie board was included in the tasting price and it complemented our wines well. I would highly recommend CAST wines.

Markus F.

Yelp
We had a super friendly and personal experience of wine tasting at the winery. The grounds are beautiful and the wines are delightful. The only piece marring the experience was that a tasting is $40 and will not be applied to wines bought.

Yelp
We had a really nice time wine tasting last weekend at CAST. I had never been but we were already planning to go to a winery next door so we thought we'd check it out. They have a gorgeous outdoor space with this gigantic palm tree which provides some needed shade. I like that they started the tasting with sparkling wine. It was really good! We liked pretty much all of the wines except for one. They had a really nice Sauvignon Blanc and a tasty Zin. We also really enjoyed the Pinot. They served some food pairings with the red wines which were delicious. The salami was so good that the owner's dog stole a piece from our table! The dog was a good boy though so we weren't upset. He deserved it. If you're in Healdsburg and looking for somewhere to try, I'd recommend CAST!

Yelp
Delicious wines and beautiful ground set up above dry creek valley. We very much enjoyed our wine tasting here during winter Wineland. The blanc de Blanc and the granache we're a few of our favs. The current tasting experience is $45 per person for a flight

Emma S.

Yelp
Loved our experience at CAST. The staff are unlike many of the Sonoma wineries - zero pretentiousness, just kindness and dang good wine.
google avatar

Kelsey M.

Yelp
Great wines and amazing property! We had a really enjoyable experience at Cast, and the barrel tasting was a nice touch. The staff was also friendly and answered all of our questions/went above and beyond what I've seen at other wineries. If you're looking for a beautiful spot to drink wine without the crowds I highly recommend Cast!
google avatar

Yelp
Extremely lovely setting nestled in the valley facing vineyards. Beautiful grounds meticulously maintained. Excellent sparkling wines though pricey. Tasting is $70/person. Includes nice charcuterie board with some cheese and salami and other treats. Each wine was good with the final reserve being the best. Bottles are just under $100. Nice stop if you have the time and the means.

Yelp
We visited several wineries in Sonoma and Cast was by far our favorite. Fabulous wines, personable employees, and gorgeous setting. What more can you ask for?

Lauren L.

Yelp
10/10 recommend this beautiful winery! The service is phenomenal. Courtney was super sweet and was very knowledgeable about the wine she was serving. The wine was delicious. Reasonably priced. The view was insanely beautiful and had a peaceful atmosphere. They have adorable dogs on site and the charcuterie board was the perfect portion for 2 people. If you are visiting this area, I recommend this winery to all!

Yelp
We are lucky and was able to make a reservation the morning of the day of the visit. We are local and decided to start expending our favorites so we picked a new place. We were greeded right away with sparkling wine. Our table outside was near the tasting room. They also have a area down near the parking lot that also looks nice. There is picnic tables also that you can bring in your own picnic. Nicely landscape so your not looking at the parking lot. Unfortunately I didn't get the gentlemans name that was helping us but he did a really good job. Our glass was never empty over a few minutes. My husband and I also got our own little pairing to go with the wines. Definitely added bonus to us. We left with 2 bottle of the Old Zin.

Allie M.

Yelp
This place was an absolute dream. The property and vineyard is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous. Our host was very warm and welcoming. We reserved a picnic and he provided us with cutting boards and other items to ensure we enjoyed our lunch. The wine was delicious. If you're ever in wine country this is a must see winery experience. The views!!! Are exceptional from wherever you stand or sit. Will definitely be back.

Hannah E.

Yelp
CAST Wines made our last-minute trip to wine country absolutely incredible! Visiting CAST Wines was by far our favorite experience, and of course, our favorite wine. What a hidden gem! We can't wait to pair our Old Vine Zinfandel with something delicious. The drive over to Dry Creek Valley, from Napa (near Oxbow Public Market), was beautiful, and overlooking the vineyard while we experienced the wine tasting was perfect. Although it was about an hour and a half, we highly recommend hopping in the car early in the morning and spending the day at CAST Wines. The staff was especially attentive, answering all of our questions, while also adding a sweet personalized touch to the menu. We are looking forward to our next visit and will be recommending CAST Wines to all of our friends and family - and to all of you on Yelp. Cheers!

Yelp
I'm very surprised by all the positive reviews. Perhaps if you're a fan of Brettanomyces in wine? My husband and I tasted 6 wines and nothing tasted right. I honestly couldn't get that dry woody feeling off my tongue until the next day. It was really bad. We are guessing they probably have Brett in the winery because it was spanning multiple vintages and varietals from a 2016 Cab to a 2021 Chard. Aside from the wine being terrible, the tasting experience was awkward at best. I hate to leave a negative review but we so often rely on reviews when we plan our wine adventures so I just felt the need to warn people... hard pass on Cast Wines.

Yelp
Great, friendly service. Wonderful wines. I have visited CAST since their opening and will continue to do so! I've posted pics fro 2020 and my recent visit with a girlfriend from, 7/17. Thank you Eric and Sarah!

Yelp
Always gReat hospitality Great wines and the view is breathtaking Always a great one to start at Bubbly whites and reds!

Yelp
This was our first visit to Cast. Their setting is picturesque & peaceful. The landscaping & decor are beautiful making the tasting even more enjoyable. All 4 wines we tasted were delicious (which we can't say was our experience at other wineries) and the food pairings were spot on. We became members, look forward to receiving our orders & will be returning in 4 months.

Yelp
I've been to Cast a couple of times and there service there was great! Always greeted and helped nicely and they were more than happy to explain the wine and flavors they had. I really like the cheese plate that they give. I can't get enough of it! The location is nice too because it is 10 minutes away from Sonoma lake!

Yelp
Snap pictures here but sip wines elsewhere. View is what this winery does well. Oh, and the washroom has a shower!

Yelp
Visited Cast with a friend who is a member and had an incredible time from the stunning view, sprawling outdoor seating, flowers, vines, massive palm.. oh and then there was also deliciously crafted wine. Josh helped us out and taught us how to saber the Blanc de Noir! Josh was lovely. I will seriously consider becoming a member especially because they're dog friendly

Mickaela O.

Yelp
Had an AMAZING time at CAST wines! From the delightful conversation I first had with Eric when I called to the tasting and tour hosted by Laura. Great wines in a beautiful setting with excellent customer service! Can't wait to visit again in the future!

Yelp
Our favorite place on Dry Creek Road, it's a must stop when we are in the Bay Area. The wines are excellent and the open air tasting room is wonderful.

Yelp
We did wine tasting here yesterday and were impressed with their wine. Wine tasting ranges from $15-$25 and is waived off if you purchase 3 bottles of wine. My favorite was their Sauvignon Blanc (refreshing with hint of green apple) and the Pinot noir. They have a great outdoor space to enjoy the wine and the view. The staff were also very friendly. Highly recommend this winery.

Yelp
Chris is very knowledgeable & gracious! Looking forward to returning soon! Beautiful environment & surroundings

Yelp
I've been in the market for some good Zinfandel and I found some at Cast Wines along with gorgeous views and excellent customer service. The 2014 Watson Vineyard Old Vine Zin was great! Then I tried the 2016 Invocation Petite Sarah and Zin blend. Fantastic! We ordered a cheese board, enjoyed the great wine, gorgeous views, and some sunshine on the beautiful patio. This was my first visit to Cast and it will not be my last. I can't wait to open and enjoy the bottles of wine we brought home.
google avatar

Yelp
You're either going to pay $25/person to taste 5 wines or purchase at least $100 of wine/person to taste 5 wines. The wines were only so-so and certainly not worth the cost of the tasting. We chatted with the owner for a bit and it's clear that there is no great love of winemaking here. It only seems to be a financial endeavor. We were not impressed with the wines or the attitude here. It seems to be trying to be more like a pretentious Napa winery than a cozy Healdsburg one.

Fred B.

Yelp
We've been club members for 2-3 years. Great wines, beautiful views, welcoming staff, NOT corporate owned meaning you're very likely to meet and talk to the people who run the place. The vineyard side tables are a fantastic place to have a picnic.
google avatar

Kathleen W.

Yelp
The nice gentlemen in downtown Healdsburg recommended this place - saying it was relatively new to the block with some interesting wines. The grounds are gorgeous with Adirondack chairs facing the view of the rolling hills. Tastings are $15 per person, waived if you purchase a minimum of 3 bottles of wine. I enjoyed their Blanc de Noirs (a sparkling wine) and their sauvignon blanc - so I picked up a few bottles of those. They bring you a complimentary snack plate (cheese, olives, nuts etc) which was a nice touch. Staff is friendly. Nice place to visit and to picnic, if you have guests in town, you won't be disappointed with stopping by here to relax and enjoy the view. But when I'm on my wine buying trips - probably not a location I need to stop off at again.

Derrick C.

Yelp
My husband and I just paid $54 for the most awkward tasting of our lives. I am not impressed with the personalities representing this tasting room. We were the only 2 people doing a tasting here, and yet, while the 2 employees weren't blatantly rude, they didn't make us feel welcome at all. I didn't even notice the taste of the wine, because I felt so uncomfortable here. I felt like I was back in high school, and the other kids were making fun of us behind our backs. The location is beautiful, and the grounds are well kept. They need to invest in more customer service training. Update: Duff reached out with an apology and seems genuinely interested in making things right.

Yelp
The view is nice and the outdoor seating is a plus. Wine was just ok but the service was great. Very attentive staff. Loved all the decor and retail items available to customers.

Yelp
Went to Cast with my wife. Staff were friendly and inviting. The wines were great and the views were better. We can't wait to go back and make Cast a staple of our wine country experience!

Yelp
Asmazing view, awesome wines, great staff. Highly recommend! Love the view. Maggie is a sweetheart.

Yelp
This used to be an all time favorite because of the outside wine tasting on the Adirondack chairs overlooking the beautiful vineyards below. Well, that changed. We took our friends here for a very special birthday and anniversary celebration. They have never been to Healdsburg before, and we wanted to give them a beautiful experience. We made advance reservations at $40.00 per person as that was our only option for wine tasting for 6 people. When we arrived we were told to go around the tasting area and down a long flight of stairs to the industrial looking area. We were instructed we could only sit at the picnic table below, as the beautiful scenic setting above is now reserved for their wine members only. Really? I'm paying $240.00 to sit in the sup par location when there in not one other person at the winery other than the employees. The wine was ok, the paring looked and tasted like dog kibble on a cutting board. There was No Pairing information or background for each wine. You were to read the sheet of paper for the description of each tasting. The employees were aloof, and not a typical friendly wine tasting experience that is the "norm" in Healdsburg. We were disenchanted, and left feeling we were taken advantage of. Fortunately our hotel (Les Mars) made complimentary tasting reservations at Chalk Hill Estate Winery. What a beautiful location with an exceptional staff, and a remarkable experience. It made up for the Cast Winery experience, and put us back in the cheerful frame of mind we started our day with.

Jen J.

Yelp
My husband, son and I were visiting from Texas and we had a relaxing and tasty visit. One of the few wineries with consistently good wines. A new fav for sure! Thanks to Kimmy, Deborah and Aubrey and Ashley for the great visit and wine!

Coyo H.

Yelp
Love their wines. Have been a club member for a while now and have never been disappointed. Had a problem with my latest shipment where the service that was supposed to deliver the shipment lost my package and the folks at CAST helped me resolve it! They were fantastic and have made me a member for life.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful Wine tasting sitting on the patio in the shade overlooking Dry Creek! Highly recommend stopping by for the great wine. This was the best service and tasting experience we had in Dry Creek area!
google avatar

Crystal H.

Yelp
I had an awesome time here with my mom. I didn't get the name of the blonde lady who helped us but she was really nice. She was also informative, attentive, and gave us glass of water. I pretty much loved all the wines I tried. I really loved the sparkling, Sauvignon blanc, regular zin, and old zin was decent. The petite sirah was too bold and tannic for me. Nice property to relax and drink. Wines aren't too expensive either.
google avatar

Catherine W.

Yelp
What we loved-- The view, and the Sauvignon Blanc! Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side. I would like to go back when it is a little nicer out. Obviously, they can't help that- but the tiny indoor tasting room made it a little difficult and not as comfortable. Highly recommend going when the weather is on your side! The incredible view is worth it!
google avatar

Stu M.

Yelp
We're local, and this is one of our favorite stops. A little off the beaten path, the old vine sin is one of life's reliable pleasures. The view from the patio across Dry Creek Valley is gorgeous, and the people are delightful.

Michael M.

Yelp
Tonight was an exquisite and very special evening for 11 clients who were made to feel like kings and queens. The vineyard manager gave us a private tour, private tastings and dinner in their cave. Was truly over the top. A first class experience, cannot wait to try it again for other special occasions. The food is exceptional as for the fig-brie tart and the short ribs both amazing!!
google avatar

Jesse C.

Yelp
Amazing! The grounds are spectacular! The team running the place are wonderful professionals. The wine is high quality. Our favorites were the Old world Zin and the Chardonnay. Not only are the wines excellent, and the views epic, they have a stunning private room available. We brought our entire office staff including significant others and this room easily held 30 people with room for more. The private room features elegant design with dark woods, wine bottles covering the walls, and plush green couches. For a rainy day this place pulled out all the stops! We loved it! Reserve the big room for your next upscale gathering, you'll be the envy of your group for finding this new hidden jewel.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I have been wine club members at Cast for a couple years now and we've loved everything about it since the first time we went. It has a very nice outdoor area overlooking the vineyards, great wines and amazing staff. The service is top notch and we always feel like we're coming to visit friends we've known forever when we stop in. I'd recommend Cast Wines to anyone taking a trip out to the Healdsburg area!

B C.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem on Dry Creek Road with fantastic customer service! My friends and I were in search of sparkling wines in the area and did a quick google search to find this tasting room. Although we were a larger party of 6 (without a reservation), a woman kindly greeted us and sat us on the beautiful patio out back. Although they did not have a flight of all sparkling wines, our host did not hesitate to open up 3 different bottles of sparkling and customize our flight. We tasted all three bubbles available; Blanc de Noirs, Blanc de Blancs, and a Brut Rose! All three were delicious and at the perfect temperature for serving. We purchased a bottle of bubbles to enjoy there and took another bottle to go. The views & wines were amazing but the BEST part of it all was the customer service. There's great wine just about anywhere you go in the area, but genuine kindness is hard to come by (especially when it comes to traveling with larger groups). I will forever recommend others to visit this property.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
I'm not very versed in wine-tasting experiences, but this one was a winner. Lovely woman handled the drinks for me and my buddy, and we tasted six (I think) wines overlooking the beautiful grapevines on a gorgeous Saturday morning, The little snacks that came with the wines were nice, as well, and I enjoyed everything I drank.

Nicholas P.

Yelp
Honestly rude employees. I'm here for barrel tasting and wanted to do the extra experience for $10 and was told that I couldn't do it because I had to pay at a different location but there were no signs or people informing me of this. The employee was extremely rude and disrespectful when I asked where I could purchase the experience.
